Hi /g/. I need a clarification regarding which of these 2 iPad models is better in terms of durability and performance:
iPad Pro
iPad Air 2
It will be mostly used for games, news and probably movies. Thanks in advance.
>>>wsr
Go for the air 2

First link in Google yielded this: http://www.knowyourmobile.com/apple/apple-ipad-pro/23342/ipad-pro-vs-ipad-air-2-bigger-faster-ipad-air-3-ios-10-specs-price-features
According to this, the iPad Pro has better specs. Not sure what either of these cost, but I guess I'd go for that one.
I'm considering going to university studying robotics. Is this stupid, as there are so few jobs available? Should I rather study something like CS/EE/MechEng?
If you live in the USA then there really aren't any B.S.R. degrees (bachelor of science robotics). I'm sure there might be some exceptions.
In the USA, if you are interested in robotics then you get a degree in EE or ME and attend a school that does research in that area. Random example:
http://www.robotics.gatech.edu/
If you are not in the USA then I don't know what to tellyou.
Good luck.

Just study CS, you can always become a robotics software engineer later.

Just finished my first year of Robotics at Plymouth UK, the field is like a mixture of Electronics, Programming and Engineering. You're right there aren't many pure Robotics jobs going atm, but the skills you'll learn will allow you to take many other types of jobs as well.
So if you like programming, electronics, engineering and maybe even neural networks then It's a great choice, but if you only like one then do that instead.
Hey /g/. So you are building a house. Money is no object.
What sort of technology do you outfit your house with?
4 Cat7 lines to every room
Advanced Defense System

Like a heat track ordinance deployer?
Sounds dangerous.
Is anybody going to buy a Kaby Lake processor or is everyone going to wait on the 10nm Cannonlake CPU's?
You can buy Skylake right now.

>waiting for 10nm
Nigger did you miss when skylake was delayed because they had problems getting 14nm out the door?
10nm is like 5-10 years away

When I save something to my hard drive does it physically get heavier?
Writing to a disk makes it lighter
>>55267563
No
ones making it heavier and zeroes making it lighter so there's always balance
No it physically get lighter because it scratches the data into the disk
Any of you guys have these? How are they?
>>55267517
Great.
it's okay
save and get a used good condition k7 something instead

How do i read SMART Data?
I have an old driver (mfg. in 2008) which has been through hell and back, and the fucking thing won't die. I'm impressed but i'm not relying on it, either.
As far as technical reporting... that's my measure. The thing isn't dead, but i'm not relying on it.
I would like to just understand what Crystal Disk is reporting, though. If i could get a better understanding of what is being reported, it would help me.
I've run a tool on it for maintenance (SpinRite), and SpinRite reports "No relocated sectors" after running on it for three days straight.
Yet, i throw a free tool on the same drive and it says "lol dude you have a few relocated sectors."
So how do i read this?
three bumps. 1/3
>>55267428
Well its saying reallocation data. Which means HDD dying by moving healthy data to different sectors by marking bad sectors as bad, and now you have too much of those bad sectors. Don't keep anything valuable on it
>>55267428
You read it with HDD tools for your vendor from dos or rescue interface
I use demonsaw and soulseek but I'm curious to know what /g/ uses for its file sharing needs and what it would recommend.
Trying to stay away from bittorrent in general, but especially public trackers cuz lol.
In my own experience soulseek is the fuckin' shit and is actually pretty comprehensive, even outside of its dedicated scope of music sharing. Demonsaw is cool but the search function isn't nearly as sexy as slsk and not quite as well populated (but not bad regardless).

Why is the black girl the only one using Toshiba?
Is that subtle racism about her status within the group? Is she considered "below" the others?

no shes probably a monkey that thinks apple not offering a black laptop is their way of being discriminatory to negroids

It's standard in Sweden.

It's pretty much standard here in New Zealand. Even in the smallish town where I come from it's everywhere.
