We should be like /int/ and /pol/. Let's add OS flags to every post, down to the distro if using linux

Can't we just have a label for your posts that say "faggot"?

this has always bothered me, heat always goes to the top, why do card manufacturers keep sticking the heatsinks at the botom with all the components right above it (where most of the heat will be)
>>55275148
So it sucks cold air and not warm air you fool
Also, some do put heatsinks on the back.
>>55275245
this makes more sense they should have the current bottom heatsinks at the bottom and at least another one at the top

I challenge you /g/
Make a shorter valid segfault in C++
The rules are simple: nothing requiring compiler flags, segfault using code only
Can you beat my 12 bytes?

Actually, justint main;works too.
I've noticed the regular /hpg/ threads so I thought we could create a thread to discuss speakers. Feel free to discuss studio monitors, PA speakers, car audio, and speaker building, etc.
thinking of upgrading to focal utopia minis from my focal 807vw since they are only 4500 second hand from a store over east that or the diablo since its its 10k used and people take care of them

What are good desktop amps under 100€?
2x50w required
Any of you build speakers? I'm thinking about putting a mahogany veneer on mine. The front baffle will just be painted black to make it easier for me.
The rear, though, will need to have a circle cut out for the speaker terminals. Can I just use a router with a circle jig to cut a circle into the veneer? I don't have the circle cut out of the MDF yet. Would it be better to glue the veneer then cut the circle out after it dries? Then finish, etc?
nanosecondly remider.

How do you feel about the new Samsung fridge that takes pictures of the food inside the fridge and sends them to your smartphone so that you can know what needs to be replenished without having to keep a grocery list?
It takes a picture of the inside every time the fridge is opened, and when you open the Samsung Fridge app on your smartphone, you can look at the pictures the fridge took the last time its doors were open.
It also can play songs off of Spotify.

What if Samsung unlocks the bootloader on the fridge, and you can run your own fridge picture server?

>A lot of women say that there is not equality, but there is still negative stereotypes of women in the workforce and also of women in tech. And you know what? I agree with you. I meet a lot of sexist, chauvinistic pigs and pieces of crap that still think with that old time mentality that women in tech are idiots that, "Oh look at how cute it is that a woman wants to pretend to know what she's doing," and I am disgusted by this philosophy because it actually does hurt women who are looking to enter tech. It lowers their self confidence. I can say as an employer that I have noticed the collective lower confidence of women entering the field based on these stereotypes.

More or less, even Sabayon uses Gentoo testing repos just as Ubuntu uses testing repos.
It might be a little more accurate that Sabayon is to Gentoo what Linux Mint Debian Edition is to
Debian.
>is it good?
Totally, but do remember that you're using testing repos and this is just as dumb like the Manjaro "delayed" repos.
>>55274417
Comparison is way off, Sabayon doesn't use portage.

Is it really worth it to sacrifice convenience for freedom and use free software out of principle?
No, most free software is dogshit.
>>55274140
It is easier to tell those of which have no principles: they usually use non-free software.
>>55274140
No just pirate unfree software.
It's free but it's isn't shit.

>boo hoo supply and demand exists why can't we be more like Venezuela
At the ass end of my time in college, I ended up getting a netbook because I was a sucker. Fast forward to now when I found it while cleaning. I hate getting rid of working tech but this is working in the loosest sense.
It has an old atom so browsing and emulation is out. It has a GMA500 which is a PowerVR piece so no decent linux driver and sucks with any video site. Even an ssd and more memory does little to overcome its glaring shortfalls.
So, /g/, is it destine to be recycled or is there some project I can use it for? For anything I can think of, there is a better option to use something else for not too much money.
Seen here is the ODROID C2. $40 and I have a better system for serving files, emulating or using as a media center.

Might be fast enough to use as a thinclient.
