So does /g/ still like Tox? Last I remember hearing about it was when the mini-scandal happened.
Looks like its been coming along well and I'm trying to start using only privacy focused software but I'm not sure if anyone even uses it.
It's still useless and nobody uses it
>>55446658
What makes it useless? Genuinely curious.
Use it to talk with friends. Not many use it though so it's pretty useless.
Anybody have any shell scripts they made that you wanna show? Post em'
Plays youtube (or any other copmatible) links that are copied on the clipboard.
You can copy a link and then possible assign a keybind to run the script#!/bin/bash
notify-send -u low -t 1 'Loading...'
mpv $(xsel)
if [[ "$?" != "0" ]]; then
notify-send 'Error Found...'

There must be a better way?
Does anyone else feel safe using Google's and Microsoft's services just because of how "big" they are?
Pic unrelated
>>55446580
Does it really matter if they give you nice software?
Depends what you are putting on their servers.

I personally uploaded my collection of BBW porn to google drive and so far i've had no letters or complaints from google.
Can i run the GNU Operating System without Linux?

Yes.

You can, but why would you?
What is the point of being worried by the botnet when you can opt out of it?
It can possibly even keep people safe
Prove you can opt out
You really need to get out of mom's basement and brush up on your English skills buddy
>>55446480
You should opt out of life.
If I want to speed up my compile time (suppose large C++ projects in Visual Studio), what hardware upgrade is going to be most effective?
>CPU moar cores
>CPU moar hertz
>faster SSD
>more RAM
>inb4 GPU
>>55446432
moar cores
moar hertz
>>55446479
Or his bottleneck is io. Why don't you check what your bottleneck is op?
>>55446432
In order of most effectiveness
-More CPUs
-Faster CPUs
-More RAM
-Faster RAM
-Better compiler
-Better project design
-Healthier diet
-Faster Storage
Around 2 months ago, my S7 screen cracked. Got it replaced. Today was the first time I submerged it in water and....
So like 2 months ago my s7 edge screen cracked and I got it replaced for almost 300 bucks. The person who fixed my phone or whatever, I don't think they properly fixed the water resistant feature.
They replaced the screen and it was working 100% good. However, today was the first time I put my phone in water for like 10 seconds, pulled it out, and the speaker isn't working good even after rebooting my phone. The speaker sounds like water is stuck inside (I'm sure you all know how this sounds like).
What do I do from now? When they replaced my screen, they didn't take into account the water resistant feature. My phone is working fine so far, but the water resistant feature seems to be lacking. I'm glad my phone isn't dead... But the speaker is having problems.
What do I do now?
>>55446329
repairs means the phone is not guaranteed 100% waterproof afterwards.
It's not the fault of the guy reparing it. why would you submerge it in water after a repair?
>>55446374
Because it's an s7 and that's one of its features? It fell in my shower.
I was not notified it would never be water resistant. Is there a source on this? Either way no one ever told me that.
notice how the Thermal Jew created a whole market around PC cooling
this type of Satanic thermal industry didnt even exist 15 years ago
so basically thermal heat is a meme created to sustain this Satanic doctrine

I expect the 1060 to overclock like shit.

>480 + 6700k can't even beat a 970 + 2600k
and here i was hoping that a 480 would actually be a decent upgrade once OC headroom was factored in. instead it kills your motherboard unless you undervolt and underclock it. bravo amd.
>>55446238
found this result of someone with a 480 and a 2600k @ 4.7ghz, this time with an even lower score
How cheap could I managed to build a mini "console" computer able to play games like Street Fighter V, MKX, Killer Instinct?
At my campus we have a fighting game meetup and I like to bring a computer with alot of interesting games pre-installed. Maybe with a 480, could I build something in a tiny case that could manage to play all of these games at 1080/60fps? Any recommended parts?
Pic related.
>>55446049
Check out /r/sffpc, and the various buildapc subreddits.
You can make one cheap, but that depends on your definition of "cheap" and your portability requirements. Also, maybe consider getting a pair of fighting game joypad controllers.
>>55446123
Most people have their own but I'll pack some with me.
Speaking of which, I never thought of this but with people plugging in and out their usb controllers, are there any third party programs that help regulate that? I dont think everyone's sticks and shit uses Xinput. That's kind of a big deal I think.
>dat buetiful looking Unity 8
How can other DE even compete?
>>55445953
Now try running Photoshop CC or 3DS Max on it without any 3rd party software like WINE.

Hacker Guccifer Conveniently Commits “Suicide” After Clinton Let Off The Hook

Hacker Guccifer Conveniently Commits “Suicide”
Knew Too Much For Clinton Comfort?
Another body has turned up in the Clinton wake, that of one of the few people outside the foreign intelligence agencies of Russia, China, North Korea or other nations to have seen firsthand the contents of Hillary Clinton’s emails. Guccifer, the Romanian hacker who was extradited to testify against the former Secretary of State if a trial were to take place, apparently became too much of a liability to the prospective candidate for president. He appears to have been Gaddafied, given the “silent treatment” if you will.
In what is being labeled an “apparent suicide” that came just as she was let off the hook by FBI Director James Comey, the Christian Times newspaper reports that Guccifer was found hanging in his Virginia jail cell. Guccifer was the handle of Marcel Lazar Lehel, who chuckled when describing the ease with which he broke into the Clinton DIY server, describing it as an “open orchid” that was, “was easy … easy for me, for everybody.”
He is just one more loose end that seems to have now been tidied up by the Clinton gang. Following the announcement of Comey that Clinton was getting away with her crimes on Tuesday morning, a rumor began circulating in the jail that Guccifer was missing. Reports then began circulating that he had been found after the evening meal hanging from a rope in his cell. It’s unclear from the initial reports if he went missing and then came back and hanged himself or why he was reported missing from his cell earlier. Surely there’s a reasonable explanation.
Is he really dead? Will there be a burial in a closed casket at sea? Was he taken out by the Clintons or their shadow government handlers? Was he so distraught over the farce that Comey and his comrades have made of the investigation that he felt betrayed by his captors and decided to end it all? Anything is possible, but that last option is the most unlikely.
The forensics team may want to avoid making the same obvious “errors” of the Vince Foster investigation and check for more than one bullet hole, in addition to the rope burns, before making an official determination of a cause of death. Send some FBI investigators to the jail; we can trust they’ll get to the bottom of things.

i hate this industry.
majority are dead serious with the experience requirement. a good portion i ran into school related experience need not apply. they don't want theory related experience. they actually want work related.
you need experience to get the ENTRY FUCKING LEVEL position but to the experience you NEED THE ENTRY LEVEL FUCKING position.
starting pay rate for this two year experience required?? A GLORIOUS $12 AN HOUR. WOW SO AMAZING.
been a neet for two years now. only working the occasional shit job like at jcpenney to create myself another pool of money to live off of for the next few months.
yet pajeets who don't know how to poo in the loo get $50,000+ jobs in a matter of seconds.
I N T E R N S H I P
>>55445801
oh man please tell me about these mythical internships i keep hearing shills speak about so much.
please enlighten me where i as a neet, three years out of college, can land an internship that i couldn't even land during my college tenure because NONE CAME FUCKING AVAILABLE IN A 50 MILE radius of where i was located. none of my class mates ever landed an internship.
only internships that came available where secretarial and aid assistant jobs. all unpaid of course. internships that would of never gain experience to deleting system32.
