To be honest, Firefox is becoming increasingly sluggish. It's getting to the point that I sometimes open websites with a lot of javascript on other browsers because otherwise Firefox would just crawl to a halt.

This is especially annoying on my work computer. The cpu is a Core 2 Quad that's probably about 8 years old. The previous user put 12GB of RAM in there and I upgraded it with an SSD, but when I have a lot of tabs open, it has a tendency to become unbearably slow.

I'm really close to switching to Chrome for my main browser if this issue persists.

What model of the Dell XPS should I buy? And does anyone have one?

>13"
No GPU, but 7th gen intel and you can get one with a 4k display cheaper

>15"
Comes with a GPU, but it's the 900 series (So big buyers remorse when they release a new model in 2017 with 1000 series GPU's)
Also, 4k display models is pretty pricy

---

I think I might just wait until they upgrade the 15" with new GPU's...
But I'm sick of waiting and I want to waste money !!

How will google ever recover!?

https://www.google.co.uk/amp/bgr.com/2016/10/27/pixel-vs-iphone-7-specs-performance-test-comparison/amp/

>As far as raw benchmark scores go, Google’s Pixel didn’t fare very well against Apple’s iPhone lineup. The Pixel achieved a score of 1565 on Geekbench’s single-core test while Apple’s iPhone 7 Plus more than doubled that with 3488. On Geekbench’s multi-core test, the Pixel got a 4103 while the iPhone scored 5590.

>Moving on to real-world performance, the test we had been waiting for was finally released on Wednesday. Apple’s iPhone 7 Plus and Google’s Pixel XL were lined up in a familiar speed test that involves opening and closing a series of apps one at a time, and then repeating them in the same order for a second “lap.” Again, the results weren’t even close and Apple’s iPhone clobbered Google’s new flagship phablet.

How did they manage to fuck up so badly?
>>
They won't. Nah, I'm just kidding, Qualcomm will make a chip that can beat the A10 by next year. Google will put more RAM in its phones. Samshit will make a phone that doesn't blow up and HTC will hopefully not die because I like their VR headset.

The coils seem to be perpendicular to the shaft axis? Weird. What do you mean by if spins in a certain way? But guessing by only two visible wires I'd guess it's a standard brushed DC motor.
