WAIT. Let me get this straight. iPhones have Lightning, so you have to get Lightning wired Earpods or the 160 dollar wireless Earpods. If you buy the new Macbook, you have to buy 3.5mm headphones. WHY THE FUCK didn't apple give the new iPhones USB-C, have their headphones use USB-C and then solve all of this retarded adapter shit. I get that the machines look pretty and it's really streamlined, but this is getting ridiculous.
Nice blog

This is probably a stupid idea but is it possible to change a Micro-B usb plug to a type-A? Perhaps cut and solder the right connections on the cables without messing with plugs?
Obviously I could get an adapter but that's going to make the plug stick out further and I've got a ton of spare usb cables doing nothing. I'm not finding any info on doing it though.
you would spend more in solder and shrinkwrap than you would by just buying another USB cable
You mean just cut the cables and solder the wires back together? Yeah, probably. They're color coded. Messing with the wiring is probably going to make the cable more vulnerable to electromagnetic interference, but there's a good chance it'll still work for most things.
>>57358139
The cable is built in so I can't just replace it. I have some solder and wrap anyway.

Yeah it's only a little keyboard from an old tablet cover. Doesn't need much I would think.
Does anyone here know if these certs are any good at getting an entry level tech jon, i have the A+ and will soon have the Network cert, is that enough or do you need more certs, i have no experience...help

I let a microsoft employee remotely access my computer to activate my windows, which was previously activated on a different machine and I couldn't transfer the key to another computer
the employee activated everything in 2 minutes
I love Microsoft
i thought about this for a moment...
Windows is literally the only OS that requires activation...

Hi /g/
I'm not really much of a tech savvy guy.
But I like video games. And my current desk top isn't up to par anymore. Also I'm pretty sure its become self aware and is now trying to kill it self
That aside
I don't know shit about building computers.
So
For 1,000 dollary-doos, whats a good gaming computer?
Current i5 / Used 5820K bundle
GTX 1070
16 GB RAM
500 GB SSD
I think that should be possible with the given budget, even with a 5820K. But I dont know about dollar prices.
I got my 5820K bundle for 360 €.

you can say whatever you want about stallman but this is simply not true.
He's autistic when it comes to following his personal moral GNU/code.

It's almost 2017, if you're seeing ads you're doing something wrong with your PC/phone.
