Hello
CompSci major and finally looking into switching from Mac to PC after Apple shit the bed with that touch bar. I've been hearing a lot of good things about the Surface family, and the Pro looks cool.
Would you guys recommend it?
>>57357181
going from business-class clamshell to consumershit convertible sounds retarded.
Install Gentoo on it

Next you're going to be saying that Windows 10 is shit when you had never actually installed it

Looks like in trying to prove OP wrong you just proved him right.
Why does the GTX 1060 have the same performance as the Rx 480 and even beat it in some games outside of DX12?
On paper it would appear that that 8GB Rx 480 would shit all over the 6GB GTX 1060 every time.
>~35% faster texture fillrate
>33% more vRAM
>33% faster vRAM bandwidth
>33% more vRAM bus width
>~35% more FP32 performance
>~270% more FP64 performance
>~860% more FP16 performance (probably wrong)
The only thing a GTX 1060 does better in is Pixel fillrate (~200% better). What gives? Is this Nvidia just bribing game companies like always or have they made a leap in GPU technology nobody talks about?

Whatever the reason the rx 480 became insanely popular when it hit retail, mostly because of filthy miners.
Just a reminder, the following states now have a 1TB data cap under comcast
Alabama
Arizona
Arkansas
California
Colorado
Florida
Georgia
Idaho
Illinois
Indiana
Kansas
Kentucky
Louisiana
Maine
Michigan
Minnesota
Mississippi
Missouri
New Mexico
Western Ohio
Oregon
Tennessee
Texas
South Carolina
Utah
Southwest Virginia
Washington
Wisconsin
Are all on the 1tb data cap plan as of today, and you won't have received any notification except on your nonfunctional microsoft outlook email tied to your comcast account. Be ready for a bunch of sneaky overage charges.
I'm sure most of you know, but I figure it's worth mentioning because the data plan actually rolled out today, and as of today, it's been capped. Even if you're mid-cycle. (though you do have a grace period of 2 months of overages with no charges)
>>57348525
I have a feeling this will go unnoticed by most of their consumer base.
>>57348525
Yup just got my notice in the mail. Mother fuckers.
>>57348595
It will, but it's still the beginning of a very very slippery slope of bullshit. Pretty soon we're gonna start seeing mobile data tier bullshit, and smaller and smaller caps with higher and higher prices for the same shit.
so /g/uys, I just bought this laptop for $150 but it shipped with freeDOS. How do I get to install Linux on it from my iPhone 6? I'm sure you neckbeards fat neets have a way to do this
you cant do it on iphone
just go to market and buy a $5 usb
fill it with gentoo in library
