>tfw to smart for consumer technology
Is there anything actually interesting happening in technology right now?
Having scrotum on head isn't a sign of intelligence shitposter.

Google just released a phone or something nobody will care about in six months.
Apple just ran off their consumer base.
Microsoft is currently... well, we'll just leave them be.
Red Hat and TLF are currently fighting a losing battle with IOT devices and the COW exploit.
Cyanogenmod is dying.
...huh. This is mostly bad news.
...Well, Nintendo...

>Cyanogenmod is dying.
What's this about? I was just about to dive into custom ROMs.

Well there's the MemeDrive. Haven't heard anything about that in a while.
There's some new progress in quantum teleportation so I've heard.
Aside from that it's boring spec-creep business as usual.

I think the most interesting things are no longer in software. Tesla's gigafactory is really fucking cool. They've pretty much put their whole engineering team on streamlining production and making the entire factory free of humans. This is exciting because instead of a web app that doesn't have any real value, or instead of a 10% smaller, sleeker, and faster phone, they will be making a product that has never seen mass adoption and will be the first to bring it there.

for what its worth microsoft made a computer with the best screen currently available for a (semi) reasonable price

I think in terms of software there's a bunch boring applications of block chain shit you can look into. Software tech is dead m8
