What is the best laptop screwdriver set out there?
I bought Wiha from link below. It is almost perfect, but I am returning it because of non-magnetic tips which makes them useless to me.

Doesn't know how to custom magnetise screwdriver tips.
What sort of technologist are you? In my world every screwdriver is magnetic, like it or not.

I need to encrypt some classified, top secret information within 30 minutes. Should I encrypt a container as a hidden volume? What are the risks? Hurry.

>a hidden volume
why not a regular volume?

> What are the risks?
if you don't unmount the volume anyone can access it as long as they don't turn of the computer. Other than that and a weak password, there are no risks; Except of course, you factor in quantum computers, which can break some encryptions today already.
>>
>>57722074
>why not a regular volume?
In case I'm dead or separated from the drive and it's captured. Or if I'm tortured, is it possible to deny that anything is on it?
>>
>>57721993

Yeah, use the hidden volume - that way if you have to give up a password you can give one, and just fill it with some porn or something. There's no way they can know there is a hidden volume within with another password.

Also, rename the file to a .iso or something and give it a suitable icon and bury it on the drive.

Good to go.

I "know" C programming, but I would like to learn it again, but how can I plan what to study in C? What would be a correct sequence? From basic to more advanced subjects.
11 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
Answer to all above questions(off the top of my head):
1. Invest some projects
e.g. calculator, simple compiler, tetris game, sudoku
2. Invest in more projects
e.g. open source projects, drivers, reverse engineer something, wrapper for an important/requested library from/to C.
3. Perhaps do some research and read import educational parts in Unix or Linux kernel, DOS etc...
4. ???
5. !!!
6. Profit.
>>
>>57721892
I mean like: data types, arrays, ..., pointer, structs....
>>
>>57721958
What do you mean by learn C again?
Have you learned it once, moved to another language and then feel that you should relearn it or did you just do a project once and now you want to learn it for real this time?

There was this fucking CD which had many (PC-98?) games. Lengthy list with blue background. Most the games were Japanese. Examples: 1942, Bomberman, one game which character falls inside a toilet and flies on it shooting literal shit at stuff, female wrestling game where at each victory you get some clothes off till you end up fighting nude etc...

Can anyone provide a sauce on this? any name or link is highly appreciated.
My last resort was digging through here:
https://archive.org/details/cdbbsarchive?sort=-downloads

Pic related era, did the sauce for this 1 just 4u. Source code for Unix, Dos, and other stuff.

there's probably an extension or setting for that, sounds really simple. I know it's on other DE's.

this would be really nice somehow. however, i like my activities button where it is. maybe something like this. i can't think of how you would compact the window buttons.

The dust will get into the components and clog them up effectively slowing them down
you're going to need to get some soap and water

I've tried many tablets and phones, none seem to be capable. I can't exactly afford a high end computer.. all I want is to omegle video chat & browse 4chan. I'm a loser I know.

I also really want to use chatroullet but these sites don't run on my iPhone.

I'm very poor. Would an android smart phone allow me to use these sites (omegle video + chatroullet.

I'm due for a upgrade and considering a android if it's capable of doing what I want.

Phones are cheaper for me due to lease. It's a lot easier for me to pay off over time.

Currently using the 5c 8GB as my daily driver.

Desperate for something to video chat .. keep in mind, my phone is my ONLY device. I can not afford anything else.

I'm looking for a portable phone too, no phablets.

Thanks in advance!

Helps too if you can confirm those 2 sites do work!

THANK YOU!!

Why not just get the amazon moto g4?
Sure you're going to get spied by the chinese but, you're poor already so it's not like you've got anything to lose by it.
>>
>>57722195
I would consider this, IF & ONLY IF I can do chatroullet & omegle video chat!!

That's all I use my phone for.

Oh & 4chan.

Don't fret, newfriend. You're learning linux - Of course it's going to be different than Windows :3

You can usually run programs with this:
cd ~/directory_of_program
chmod 755 executable_program_that_ends_in_x86_64
./executable_program_that_ends_in_x86_64

Or if you use the software manager GUI program, you should have an icon in the start menu.

Happy Hacking :)

If you just need a facebook machine, it can.

If you need basically anything with any productivity I'd blame it on tablets treating themselves more like phones than PCs, and the lack of non-touch inputs.

Let's discuss this disease of "native" web applications such as Slack or Discord.

For real. My office recently started using Slack and this piece of shit "software" is beyond me.

They take us for fools not seeing through their lazy asses not wanting to make some proper applications. It is infuriating to say the least and nobody else seems to bat an eye.

Who with me?

Fair enough, I thought you were calling them lazy because they used javascript/electron to make it.
