16GB is the minimum for 2016 for the mid-range computer.

You will be unlikely to do anything regularly that will use more than about 10-12GB, but you can easily use more than 8GB.

Going over 16GB would take some doing, so it's unlikely you will need 32GB at least not until 2020.

What are you people doing to warrant using that much ram? Rendering videos with 100 tabs open in Firefox, most of them being javascript-heavy and containing media, torrenting...and playing a game on your second screen, not paying attention to the video at all?

I do understand that a lot of /g/ have legitimate uses for that much ram, but what is a normalfag going to do with all those resources?

To convert from digital to analog you will always need a DAC. Some of the being a lot shittier than others. If you already have a decent one, there's no reason to buy a better one.

i replaced my onboard audio with a 2nd gen scarlett 2i2 and i did notice a difference. my music didnt sound as "compressed" (not in a lossy-lossless file way).
DACs as they are sold are a meme though (bad audio chips in oversized cases and overpriced)

I have it, I like it. Coming from a galaxy nexus it's really good imo, although I miss the notification light. But then again my needs are not very advanced.

The fact that it's so cheap also allows me not to care too much if something happens to it (screen cracked, stolen, etc).

You're gonna need two separate arms. Look up ergotron they are about the only good ones. I managed to find an amazon basics on for my 30 inch and it was only because my old entertainment stand I attach it to was the right height that it worked out for me
