I'm trying everything to get rid of this on Windows 10, and I've already had a virus and had to remove it while trying to find programs to fix this.
Anyone know what to do? I'm Windows 10 Professional.

what's the best way to wipe a HDD?
I currently have an old PC with a 500gb HDD that I would like to put into my newer PC as a third storage drive, but it also has windows on it. I've backed up everything I want from it so i'm ok to wipe the whole thing.
Can I just put it straight into my new PC and wipe it on this (i'm worried it might have viruses on it though) or use some program to wipe (maybe from booting with USB drive?)
>>57748032
Have a Linux machine or live CD?dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sdX bs=4M
Replace sdX with whatever device your disk shows up as. You can use /dev/random or /dev/urandom if you want to use random bytes instead of just zeros, but zeros are close enough for government work and a whole lot faster.
pretty stupid question here, but
would I encounter any problems at all by using a HDD through SATA -> USB ? Just bought a WD Blue to be used for a future build, but I want to use it to transfer data from my laptop for now. > really dont want to fuck it up
Dont want to get haxed by fbi just for opening tor or using a vpn but i also dont want the nsa or fbi to know how many times i took a shit today what do?

Ask him a question and try to trigger him hard as shit, let's brainstorm ideas, I'll start:
Mention Linux but make sure to call it just Linux not GNU + Linux

Post your component list, rate other anons', ask questions in general.
Always state the purpose of your PC, your budget, AND YOUR COUNTRY if outside the USA.
If you are asking for improvements, clarify whether you want to lower price or to improve specs or build quality.

What does /g/ think of Gigabyte? Are they comparable to MSI?
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/VChytJ
Not sure about this case, worried it will run really hot and loud.
Need something decently portable. Also considering the Thermaltake box and NZXT manta.
If I want to Overclock an RX 480 or a GTX 1060, do I need to upgrade my 500W PSU?
Current PSU is a Thermaltake-500nl1nh-1.
Man...
Windows 10 is really, really, really, really, really, really, really terrible.
What the heck are we going to do?

Funny how on a board full of ((((advanced)))) computer users, you all have trouble with Windows Update and Spying. I bet half of you don't even have an ad blocker installed.
>W10 is terrible
No it isn't, spend 3 seconds to configure it like you would literally any other operating system
>inb4 linux

Will Wine allow you to run any Windows program in Linux, or is it only compatible with certain ones? I'd like to run Ubuntu but I'm going to be doing some audio production and I don't want to be limited to Ardour.

Why is /g/ like this? Like actually. I've been on this board for 4-5+ years and i really just dont understand why half of the "memes" are actual technologies. Like i get the audiophile meme but is this "falling for the meme" meme just some sort of ironic meme?
