What programming language is the most enjoyable, a pleasure to use?

Forget performance and all the rest. Just from the PoV of being comfy?

In your opinion ofc.

I need a very cheap FTP/NFS/Backup service.
From 500GB to 1TB or more.

I don't need syncing or any user friendly bullshit that comes with Dropbox, Box, OneDrive, Google Drive and the like...

What does /g/ use?

I just got a AWC account, still uploading my shit to it, not bad, I don't know how long I'll keep it.

They claim "unlimited" storage for $60, I'll probably end up having 500gb, I heard of people putting over 10TBs in it. But I have also heard of accounts being terminated because of reasons.

Currently have a 1mbps upstream connection. Anyone have sugestions on how I could speed this shit up? Call ISP and ask them if they'd let me use faster rate for a few hours? Find different way of uploading? This shit is gonna take for fucking ever.

so I bought a "Noctua NH-U9B" and it performes like a stock cooler on my 4770k with prime95 running :/ was going to overclock but with this garbage temperatures I'm not going anywhere.. any ideas?
10 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>57760033
Try reapplying thermal paste and reseating it.

Most of the time that's the cause of bad temps with an aftermarket cooler.
>>
This is typical of the 4770K. You need to delid 4770K or sell it and buy a 4790K. No heatsink or watercooling loop will suffice, it's temperature issues is due to a poor connection between the die itself and the IHS.

However, 100% stress test, do you ever reach this? Is that AVX instructions running on the prime test, too? Just don't surpass 85c at 100% load
>>
>>57760270
already dun

>>57760407
was afraid of that, not sure about AVX thingy but isn't that just for if I test when overclocked?

What's the deal with re-installing windows 10

There's a nice reset feature, that I'm probably going to use, but what if I want to format and install from fresh?

Can I just download the ISO illegally and get some random cd-key? How does it work?

I obviously didn't have a legit version of windows before I upgraded, but what about all those legit users who got their free upgrade? What's the protocol?
>>
>>57759621
>>57759554
W10 license is stored on the motherboard BIOS. If you've authenticated your W10 already, you can reformat your drives - or even put entirely new ones in, and it'll just work.

What is the best ebook reader /g/? Preferabley one that has/can have free software, or at least one that you can transfer ebooks to without an internet connection/ proprietary program.

Kobo Glo HD.
>>
>>57759528
If you need as free as possible, I believe the Barnes & Noble Nooks are running an ancient version of Android and the kernel source code is available.

Kindle is as fucking proprietary as it gets. It is the most proprietary bullshit reader available. You need to convert all your epub files and such into Amazon's proprietary mobi format. It's horrendous so stay the fuck away.

Kobo has really nice readers. You do not need to convert anything as it plays with pretty much everything out of the box. It is quite hackable and has free software available to it (CoolReader and such. Can even run Debian and some can run Android). So my vote goes for a Kobo device.

So I started to get interested in learning programming languages, I don't know shit about any of them.

What language should I start learning?

Haskell
>>
>>57759463
Take this free course and start with Python: https://www.udacity.com/course/intro-to-computer-science--cs101 it's the best intro to programming course I have seen and it's challenging enough that you will learn tons of stuff (you can also peak at the answer when you get stuck, which you also learn from)

Python is fun, easy to learn and even a retard can learn how to make something useful with it. And you can get a good job if you know it.

After the you can pretty much program anything you want. You only need to learn how to do it effectively and organized.

You could learn Haskell if you are a masochist. It is a great language, but you will find it to be a complete pain unless you have a proper tutor. There is only ONE university I know of that let beginners touch Haskell and they are going to stop doing that and change to something else.
