I bought one to replace my 1st gen. So far it's been pretty good but I miss some tiny things from the old phone.

I've been using one for a few months. It's definitely not a flagship but it doesn't feel like you're being deprived of anything either.

How fucked am I, and how can I unfuck it? He was suppose to get a burner phone before leaving, but apparently his company's IT people "forgot" and never ordered one. The solution was that he was going to get a replacement phone when he returned and just trash his current one, but now he's connected to our home wifi, so the damage is done.

So how worth it would getting a Pebble Time Round now that the company is dead. Will the community keep the watches going? I realize there will be less apps, but all I'd use it for is time, texts, and email. Something that I think the watch will be able to do after the company's gone. What do you guys think?

I would just get a mechanical watch desu. There isn't a point in those types of watches except for some gps (pointless) and a workout app that just replaces cheap wrist bands. There are also a lot of different options when it comes to mechanical watches. If the pebble is what you really want though, go for it.
