Can we get a Gentoo thread going?

How many of you actually have the meme OS installed on bare metal?

How did you set it up? What USE flags did you set before doing the
emerge --ask --update --newuse --dep @world
to set a base for the system?

Microshaft used ARM processors instead of x86 ones.

They could have easily gotten away with making phones that used x86 processors, windows 8, and had a precision stylus for mouse input.

But they didn't, instead they tried to create a half-assed special snowflake OS.

Anyone know where I can download a reliable free video converter? I need to convert some MKV files to MP4 but everything I've found so far either doesn't work or wants me to pay some exorbitant price.

I'm pretty sure they aren't I'm trying to import them into iTunes but iTunes can't read them, so whatever is inside of the MKV's isn't an iTunes compatible (ie, mp4) file

...the fuck else am I supposed to install encrypted boot loaders with?

Have you ever seriously succeeded in doing that with USB? I know it's technically possible but it's a fucking nightmare of hacking, unzipping, patching, rezipping, resigning and all sorts of shit.

I keep a sata ODD in the cupboard to plug in when I'm installing OSs, it saves hours of fucking around.

He's ex-KGB, he still has all his sick hacker skillz from the old days. If you've ever been hacked by Russia, or got no-scoped by someone with a Russian name while playing CS:GO, it was more than likely Putin.

Have Hackintosh tools/community improved much in the past 6 years? Thinking of giving it another go with my Asus K52F Core i3 (first gen).

When I last tried I couldn't get the resolution to anything higher than 1024x768 but first gen Core i3's seem better supported now.

Why would anyone purposely install MacOS? Even Apple users hate it, they just tolerate it as they're used to things being forced into their rectums.

where did you guys start to learn about modern tech?

ive never been to college and i want to be in an IT profession preferably with repairing computer hardware

how do i learn that?

>>58070098
just start messing around with what you have, learn what each part does and where it goes

ask friends and family for old PCs that you can mess with, build a rig out of the best parts from each

just built a Win98 gaming rig recently, got a Radeon 9800 pro in it, can handle Minecraft by some miracle
