I've bought a new laptop, and alongside Linux i need a Windows installation for vidya and some windows exclusive software for my university. Normally i'd go with Windows 7, but i've heard that there are issues with it when it comes to booting off of NVMe drives and the latest hardware or drivers. Is that true? What is the best possible windows installation i can get, Windows 7 or a somehow un-fucked Windows 10?

I use veracrypt.

Also, I don't care about the government cause I'm not a pedophile retard who should kill himself, I just hide my pornstash from my girlfriend by using encryption and telling her it's backup for projects I'm working on.

So, whats the general consensus on CRT monitors? Some people say the colors are great but others have said its impossible to read text in things like MGS4 on the Ps3.

they usually have less ghosting too.

not sure i'd use it for console games because the font antialiasing would fuck you over.
>>
>>58068143
>on the Ps3

Last time i checked there was no VGA output on the PS3. If you're using a CRT TV via PAL/NTSC of course you won't be able to read small text. I suspect that's what said console peasants were talking about.

Let's say you were hypothetically interested in making a botnet

Would you say Golang is a suitable language for both the bot and the panel?

Native Install

Burn a CD/DVD from TempleOSCD.ISO and boot it to run natively.

VMware Install

VMware works on Linux or Windows. You can look at my VMware Linux Bash Scripts.

Use VMware to run the ISO in a virtual machine. Aim the CD/DVD at
TempleOSCD.ISO. You need 512+ Meg of RAM.

VirtualBox Install

Use VirtualBox to run the ISO in a virtual machine by aiming the CD/DVD at
TempleOSCD.ISO. You need 512+ Meg of RAM.

Install virtualbox-fuse package if you are running debian/ubuntu.
>sudo vdfuse -f image.vdi /mnt/TempleOS
>sudo mount -o loop /mnt/TempleOS/Partition2 /mnt/TempleOSD

Is the trend accelerated by Fakebook and Twatter an enduring one, or will it eventually peter out or collapse into a myriad of individual services and interests?
7 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
arr rook same

The internet has been becoming more centralized for like the past decade. You didn't need to make a thread to realize this
>>
>>58067292

Well obviously that's been the trend for awhile, I'm asking whether it's sustainable. Basically, are we looking at a Wild West getting domesticated or a Standard Oil waiting to be broken up type of situation?
>>
Social networking isn't going back in the bottle, but I suspect you'll see a splintering of services eventually. If nothing else, political forces will bring it about.

hey /g/, i was wondering are 8 gigs of ram enough for gaming in 2017?

>>
>>58066832
8gb is barely enough for botting windows + chrome anymore,

get 16gb or 32gb

shit is cheap enough and quality of life is no joke when nothing touches the page file.
>>
It's enough, but not ideal. Some games like Just Cause 3 already are bogged down by 8gb. I have 8 right now but will be upgrading to 16 very soon
>>
>>58066832
Its a decent amount, get 16 when the prices go down again
