Hey /g/, /v/ here with another "Is my computer going to explode if I try to play this" thread.
I'm basically running 29 clients of Ragnarok at 800 x 600 low graphics, and 1 client at 1600 x 900. My CPU is 100% under load at about 12 clients. I'm assuming it's not going to die on me as long as the temps are stable, but I want another opinion on it.

Is the mpv learning curve a myth like vim?
I think people were traumatized by school and big manuals.

No, not even close.
There's no learning curve. Install and go. You don't need to configure the shit out of it for placebo. You actually don't need to do diddly fucking dick.
If you absolutely need to do so there are a multitude of config files to look at. Check what each setting in those configs does in the manual and choose what you need yourself. This is not rocket science.

laptop with these specs:
> i7 quadcore (8 threads)
> 8gb ram (or more)
> dedicated gpu (nvidia or ati)
> 15.6" full hd screen
> can buy it in italy (with italian keyboard)
> can replace battery / ram / hdd
> good battery life
> not white
need it for work, will run debian 9.
needs to be able to run 4 or 5 virtual machines at the same time
if needed and handle load, dont plan to game on it but having
the option to play bf1 or something in the future is nice.
battery needs to last id say at least 4 hours while browsing with 2
browsers and like five programs open ( < 10% cpu usage with an i7)
Price is not an issue but i cant find a decent laptop that im sure
fits my needs. No ultra-gamer-led stuff and of course no apple stuff.
i was looking at asus g series (GL502VM-FY015T for example), i have a old rog-series laptop (6 years old) and its a very solid machine, but too big (17").
but im concerned about the battery removal / upgrade since its unknown if its
soldered or not.

now what do? I mean, i have 600+ Gb of shit on my HDD and just 275 Gb free on my new SSD. Is there a way to just migrate the OS? Do i have to copy all the shit? I also have a 1,5 TB external hard drive

You can still use a bridge mode for now, but there are hints that internet providers might be hurting performance even then.
