There's no such thing as anonymity today. You can try to by anonymous but that would have been suspicious.
Basically come on man. It would be highly suspicious if you didn't have any social media accounts and run TOR 24/7.

Hey /g/. For a while I've been looking to get into building some tech, playing around with electrical engineering etc.

Where do you think would be a good place to start? I'm still in high school but I have a pretty good grasp on scientific concepts in comparison to my peers, and I've been practicing autodidacticism for a while. Can anybody tell me what book or YouTube video series or articles I should start with? First project I was thinking of was a simple electronic remote deadbolt for my room door.
Any input is greatly appreciated, thanks!

First trying hanging yourself
When that inevitably fails because the rope cannot support your weight just try to find a small childs circuit board set. I had one when I was a kid and I learned about the basics of EE from it. From there you could buy a breadboard and some other shit from hobbyist websites and try to make your own shit
Just google it you retard

Getting my nephew a pre-paid credit card.

He lives on the other side of the country, so I thought I could get two cards, send him one, and then put money on it where I am, and have him withdraw the cash where he is.

What's the best pre-paid credit card for this?

I'd rather not have to "sign up" for any service.

Did you two just read "credit card" and skip the rest of the short post? He clearly knows what a prepaid card is and how it works. He is asking which one to get.

1) What the fuck plug-ins (of which I only have one, OpenH264) need their own container and that much RAM when all I have open is a single tab with /g/ in it?
2) Are those numbers not supposed to make sense? I have at least a couple hundred MB worth of other processes so the Used total doesn't add up. Are the two firefox processes sharing RAM or something?

If I knew how to use a computer like a big boy, I'd make my own browser at this rate. The only ones which have been able to handle the modern web have been Chromium and FF, and the former lacks the little touches of customizing I like (unless I install extensions).
>>
Firefox has a process for the browser and a process for the tab contents, this is normal. It's basically a shitty implementation of process per tab like Chrome has. Electrolysis is still on its way.

Also use Icecat.

Okay this is random question, but I am trying to remember a tech person who used to do computer videos.

I believe the videos were live broadcasted, but were also on Youtube

The dude had like glasses, black hair (kinda nerdy look), I think he had a dog. He also had a big desk with multiple computers.. I think the last time i saw one of his videos was more than 10 years ago. I cannot remember what this guys name is. Any help?

I believe most of his content was about Macs, if I remember correctly.

Fuck you now I have to masturbate.

For a refresh/rebrand I guess it's an okay improvement.
Should make it much more interesting against the 1060 now though.

pretty terrible since you can get last gen cards (gtx980, fury non-x), at the same price, with better performance as long as you're willing to buy used/refurb.

Hey from /mu/. So the super bowl halftime show is having a voting contest to see who will play this year.
There's no captcha so we were wondering if someone could make a bot that votes Death Grips to first place. Thanks for any help.

There are programming jobs in a lot of places.

You can get a programming job without living in a meme city like San Francisco or Seattle.

IT companies can be anywhere, all they need are chairs, desks, and computers.

Can someone explain to me how such a benchmark can possibly exist?

Lets go over the basic:

>7700k doing well
ST bound test, this is obvious
>1800X doing well
Now it being ST bound doesn't seem to be so sure..
>6900k doing like dogshit
What the fuck? The 1800X and 6900k are regularly neck and neck
>6900k DOING AS BAD AS BULLDOZER
WHAT IN THE FUCK?!

So, it's not a ST bench, it's not MT bench, FUCKING BULLDOZER IS EQUAL TO A BROADWELL-E THAT HAS OVER 60% HIGHER IPC AND 8 REAL CORES.

This kind of thing shouldn't exist, a bench where the 7700k, 1800x doing well but the 6900k gaping like a retard should not fucking logically EXIST.
13 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>59926597
The most I can think of is that this benchmark scales only up to 5 cores but the Broadwell has compatibility issues, example the branch predictor is completely fucking up its job, or the caches are constantly being trashed, a CPU utilization test would go rather well with this bench.

Anyhow, this seems nothing more than a optimization problem, but it's awfully weird the Ryzen is the one not having problems with the optimization but the monolithic 6900k design that's been used by Intel for well over 30 years. While Ryzen looks more like a two CPUs to dumb applications
>>
>>59926765
Not enough people testing the 6900K becuz its too fucking expensive
>>
it's cache/memory bound.

For once posting this is not ironic, but it has to do with your Linux desktop is Linux kernel with the GNU userland running on top of it, while on Android it's Linux kernel with a JVM running on top of it
