/pcbg/: Post your component list; rate other anons'; ask questions in general.
State the PURPOSE of your PC & BUDGET. State COUNTRY if not USA.
List GAMES/SOFTWARE you use often. List resolution & hz if gaming.
Seeking build improvements? Clarify goal: lower price or improved specs?
Put effort into your queries to make yourself easy to help.
>Assemble your parts list with price comparisons & compatibility filter.

Currently worthwhile CPUs:
>G4560 for budget builds (<$500) unless G4620/i3-6100 is heavily discounted
>i5 aren't worthwhile. Get Ryzen 5, drop down to G4560, or up to i7
>No R5 1400 unless discounted
>i7-6700k is good but pricey. If over budget: consider locked 7700; not chasing 4.8Ghz+ capable when you weren't gonna overclock, or get R5
>Cheap Z270 board is still good for faster memory in games w/ locked 7700, but aren't for overclocking (VRMs suck)
>R7/Xeon for compute/multitask/mixed use
Currently worthwhile GFX cards:
>RX470 , RX480, 1070, 1080, 1080TI
>1060 is worth considering over a 480 if same/cheaper in your country, or you just play games it's better on for the price. 1050Ti is for mITX builds
>470 is all you need for 1080p
>Wait for RX 580 in a few days
>Nvidia GPU + Ryzen has issues in many games atm
>Budget builds: consider integrated graphics over a card weaker than RX470, unless price/performance is better (discounted/used)
>Vega comes in May
General:
>No brand/model loyalty. Parametric filters on pcpartpicker can help
>Consider larger SSD-only for what you budget SSD+HDD combined. Add HDD later once needed
>NVMe aren't worth it just for faster OS boot. They're primarily for productivity as a scratch disk
>Save money w/ mATX case/mobo, and if patient by purchasing your parts individually in flash sales

Replaced the 7700k recommendation with 6700k in the OP. It's 99% the same shit overclocked, after all.
Tired of so many people getting Kabylakes that need to be delided. I don't know what the stats are, but it sure seems like a high as fuck number of people are getting 7700ks that idle at 45-55C and need deliding. It's much less common for the 6700k to need a delid.
is it hard to change my graphic card?
can it destroy my pc if i do it bad?
how to choose a graphic card?
Is this a good deal?

>What is GNUnet?
GNUnet is a fully decentralised p2p framework for a number of applications, the most commonly used one (probably) is filesharing
More info:
https://gnunet.org/goals
https://gnunet.org/concepts
>Why use GNUnet over private trackers?
Private trackers:
>have to keep up a seed ratio or you're thrown out
>have to attach an account to your searches and requests
>have to trust that the private tracker's owner won't leak your details anywhere
>uploading must be approved
GNUnet:
>no seeding requirement
>no account needed
>no trusted 3rd parties needed
>no way to trace any traffic back to you, unless you set anonymity to 0
>even just searching for content can be done via GNUnet's anonymous protocol
>anyone can publish anything
>no way for publishers to know who's downloading
>no way for downloaders to know who's publishing (except via optional namespaces)
>Sounds cool, where do I start?

Is this working, when nobody uses it in the neighborhood?
Last time I checked, I could not even search with it. Of course, I did not pay too much time with it, so it might be my fault.

Whats stopping us from making a more retarded version of this? How long till we get robots that can move their limbs in a fluid way? Tired of seeing robots that walk like they shit themselves. Not an expert in any form of Robotics so just give me the facts.
>>59935518
Also why the fuck do all the current robots have creepy baby faces?
>>59935559
Uncanny valley, it'd be better off if they didn't try to emulate people's faces and just make cute pixar robot faces
>>59935518
A long time. It's really hard to make perfectly fluid on the fly movements.
>make fun of robots for walking like faggots

titan Xp using micron ram ? lol
>>59935378
Obviously you don't have a brain for thinking, only Micron produces GDDR5X
>>59935378
Only like 3 companies actually make all the ram, that's why prices went up.
They can't meet the demand.
