The wacom and the surface pro are full on windows computers.
They can run full on windows programs.
You can also access/manage your files easily.

The ipad pro run whatever you can find in the app store.
If you need to use multiple apps you'll be constantly pushing your file between apps to work on it.

Wacom is the leader in pressure sensitivity.

I'd say a Wacom or Surface Pro since they're Windows that can run actual design software like Photoshop and Illustrator. The iPad Pro is pretty for digital art but the apps aren't as powerful compared to desktop stuff for more in-depth design. You can probably get by with a iPad Pro but if you want to stay with your familiar tools, go Surface Pro or Wacom. Protip: Don't get the m3 Surface Pro 4 for stuff like what you're doing. Get a i5 MINIMUM with decent amount of RAM.

get a bootable usb of linux or something, copy/backup your files and store them in a .zip or whatever archive format to open them later in a sandbox.

you can make a bootable usb with d-ban, but after you nuke your hdd you're going to need an OS to run and if you don't have your original disc you're gonna have to DL an iso.

also, if your machine is one of those newer bios locked ones then shit'll get tricky

When I've interviewed QA engineer candidates the bar was generally lower than what was expected of candidates for feature development teams. So if my company was any indication, you'll be fine as long as you can solve a problem with nested loops and explain the tradeoffs between standard data structures.

But really, don't expect them to actually move you to the dev team. If you're actually any good at writing code you should keep looking.
