Is 'productivity' the worst buzzword in tech?
Everyone just uses it to justify shitty purchases. For example
>I sold my perfectly fine intel cpu to get a ryzen which better suits my productivity
>iOS 11 is so much better for productivity
>Android has split screen apps my productivity has gone up because i can look at twitter and watch netflix at the same time
It makes me so fucking mad
>>60881172
It's not limited to purchases.
"Cable management upped my productivity"
"i3wm and ricing my desktop upped my productivity"
I prefer 'consumption coefficent'. It's even good for my credit score.
>>60881172
>t. NEET
For those of us who actually study/work, productivity is important. I'm much more productive with a faster CPU or an extra monitor than without it
performance is much better than Python & Ruby
best package management
many options for everything: ORM, templates, frameworks, etc..
largest community on the planet
low cost and clean server side rendering for front end frameworks
with ES6 & ES7 you can write clean and maintainable large projects
/g/ explain yourselves, WTF is your problem with Node.js?
>>60881112
nodejs is fucking great!
i love it (apthough it uses shitty js). so many db drivers. รท]
if it was typescript instead of JS i would suck its dick so hard
but it isn't
>>60881143
we can consider them the same thing ITT
Im going to switch to android tomorrow after 8 years iOS. Is there something to consider?
Your data will be less secure but that's about it.
Your data will be more secure.
you can move your files around in folders using a file manager, and then conspicuously make your phone visible to your friends so you can show them what a cool technology-savvy dude you are, even though they just think you are a weird autistic loser. then you can come home and masturbate to futa porn and talk shit about apple on /g/
Give me a full 90's computer setup, monitor, keyboard and everything.

Rust vs C which is better why?
C
it's more portable, faster, has a better ecosystem and isn't governed by the non-programmers web hipsters at mozilla. A language that treats every programmer with kid gloves has no future.
There is no reason to use rust, prove me wrong.
>>60879843
Rust as a language is not as minimal as C. It does support a good deal of functional programming though. And I like the idea of not having to manage memory without the cost of GC.
I'd use Rust over C++ any day.

i bought an rgb key board it has all the lighting effects controlled through an FN key. I want to be able to adjust the rgb's to an specific color of my choosing. there is no software for it.
it is an RK pro104. what would i have to do as far as coding or programing to do this? or will it much more complicated than that?

you should've bought programmable one

i bought this one for $60. other rgb full key boards are like $130

yeah, nothing below $130....

Is it just me or is Windows 10 a buggy piece of shit compared to Windows 7?
>>60878490
It is until you fix it up and disable Cortana, automatic updates and Telemetry.
Hardly a choice for people like me... Intel and MS refusing to support anything lower than Windows 10 and Ubuntu STILL can't handle Nvidia drivers... sigh
>>60878490
>Is it just me
>>60878490
It's just you.
Post your component list, rate other anons', and ask questions in general.
Always state the purpose of your PC, your budget, AND YOUR COUNTRY if outside the USA.
If you are asking for improvements, clarify whether you want to improve specs or build quality or to lower price, etc

Reposting because I'm at a loss.
Every time I boot up my pc it goes straight to BIOS. Once I exit the bios everything runs fine. I've checked to make sure all my connections are secure, unplugged the keyboard to make sure it wasn't triggering the bios, and reset all the settings to default.
Anyone know how to fix this problem?
Motherboard is MSI b350 pc mate.
stupid question,
if rx 470/480/570/580 are selling like crazy, why don't we see manufacturers pumping out more stocks?
>>60878327
https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/B350-TOMAHAWK.html#down-manual
Download the manual.
Go to page 24. See the clear bios connector. Go to page 36 and read more about it. Make sure it is set to keep data.
heres the situation
>be me listening to music
>music stops
>see that entire phone has stopped
>try the home and power button
>nada
>it fucking dies
it had a full charge and was working fine
ive had this problem once before where it froze then died, I took it to the store and they replaced it because of this exact problem about a year ago
but it appears that the same problem is here in the "fixed" phone
please help me, it shouldn't be fucking up like this, not a second time, not after they told me they fixed it
>G4
I wouldn't bother trying trying
>>60877695
please, im a poorfag and cant afford another phone, is there anything I can do at all to at least get it to turn on?
>>60877705
It's a hardware issue on all G4s. Either try to get a time bomb replacement of your replacement or buy a new phone. Im on my 4th or 5th replacement now.
>talk crap about intel
>shill for them only a few days later
is there anything he won't do for a few shekels?
>Few shekels
>Getting 7 brand new $1,500 CPUs free for mentioning a sponsorship 2-3 times in a ten minute video.
I hate Intel, but I would have taken them up on that deal without hesitation.
>talk shit about intel's new processors
>receive free 6950X from last gen
>use it in a video while also blatantly stating that it was paid promotion and that people should do their own independent research
How is this shilling?
>>60877355
Not to mention the loss of revenue of not having new CPUs up for review.
For what he makes and what he is given in computer parts alone, I would drink Intel cum by the gallon.
Is the hype justified?
>>60877231
no you idiot
>>60877246
why not cuntface
