So I've had a Samsung Note 4 for quite some time now, and just as all phones do the battery life was shit. However, the replaceable battery was one of the main reasons I changed over to Android. So when the battery life began to turn to complete shit, I bought a brand new Samsung brand battery for my phone 100% sure it would bring it back to new. But to my surprise, it did literally nothing in terms of renewing battery life.
Just so you know how embarrassingly bad the battery life is with my brand new battery, to use it i basically have to keep it plugged into a power source constantly to be able to use it. The phone dies when the battery hits 80% and it takes maybe 10 minutes of use for the battery to drop to 80%. Even if I'm not using it, like leaving it unplugged at 100% overnight, it will die by morning time. I've avoided updateing the OS out of fear that would make the batter life worse. And in an attempt to figure out what was using all the power, I've been tracking the power usage and its seemingly pointless stuff thats using almost all the power, like the screen or just standby.
Now obviously the correct answer would be to get a new phone, however I got this phone specifically so I wouldn't have to deal with this. Could this issue be fixable, is it a virus (sorry im an idiot but I assume that's possible on android)

I know it's not, especially with a new battery. And I really mean it's a new battery. Bought it from samsung new in the package thinking that maybe the first battery was going bad.
Would it help to just back up my phone and do a factory reset to try to purge any programs or viruses from my phone?

Hello /g/. I know there's people who actually have works as a programmers.
I'm myself a C/C++ programmer, work experience 10+ years, in general, developing server-side hi-load applications .
So almost 2-3 years, didn't remember exactly, I almost didn't worked during all the years.
After I left my main good work where I was for 5 years I have had a black lane in my life.
For these 3 years I had two jobs and worked there no more than 3-4 months.
1. It was related to some military shit and I left this work after 4 mouth, because roughly speaking, it was shit.
2. After 1.5 year of NEET life I was hired to some company to develop hi-load servers in C++ for ADs and other bullshit. But most of people at office were pretty much hipsters, SJW, faggots, and jews. I was drinking too much at that time while i worked there, but I got fired after 3 mouths for sexual harassment, I don't even know who I harassed they didn't call the name but I already was hating them before that this accident so it didn't give a shit and just said fuck you to them I get away.
So since that thing happened I'm a NEET, during this neet time I was developing something in C and C++ but then I became addicted on WoW and spent there about 5 mouths, and now i'm cured of that shit and considering to get a real job in some big company which similar to google, I want to develop something like hi-load, distributed, systems, I know all this shit I know all CS theory, algorithms, OS's, and other stuff. But I really forgot forgot many nuances which are lovely to be asked on interviews especially by serious companies.
But my problem is that I can't to get focused and start training and preparing myself to interview almost already for 4 mouth. I tried to start working on my old project but after few hours I got bored to death. I tried to start reading books and etc and the same this always happened.
Meybe somebody had similar problems like me and know how to start preparing to interview?

I never was in similar siituation but I find it difficult to do anything what does not lead to any sort of finished product. Being ready for job interview is not a product, actually writing something is.
So:
- if you feel uncertain about your skills, go pick a task which you might find interesting and do it
- meanwhile jewgle interview greentexts to get on the train

Read that famous interview book, Cracking teh Coding Interview, and make sure you're comfortable with most stuff on there. Shouldn't be too hard given your background

I'm also curious to hear some first hand experiences especially when it comes to latency and bandwidth when compared to say 802.11ac. From what I've gathered when I researched this few years back PowerLine was even slower and with higher latency than AC WiFi in low RF noise environments. Wonder if things have changed.
