niche interests, cool electronics, and shit worth having. This includes everyday items of exceptional quality.
For example, a fantastic place for braided cables and shit is pexonpcs.co.uk

Most of what I buy online is either from Amazon or gun stuff.

How do I tell if my GPU or PSU is failing? My computer randomly shuts-down whenever upscaling video on MPV and shuts down instantly when starting up furmark. My PSU has a high-pitched noise I assumed was coil-whine, and I'm getting no artifacts or screentearing. I suspect the problem is the PSU, but I really want to be sure before buying a new PSU only to find out the GPU was the problem. Any tests I can do to rule one or the other out?

Then what?
What do you all use to stream videos over your local network (Linux -> tablets/TVs/phones etc.)? Is minidlna really the easiest/best method?
>>60952199
just use HDMI
>>60952252
So you just use an adapter to connect your tablet to your server with a 10m-long HDMI cable and watch stuff without being able to move yourself freely while lying on your bed in the dark, which is the entire purpose of using a tablet to watch anything in first place?

I need to disssassemble this class file.
jad, fernflower and jd-gui say this file is corrupted.
Im able to check every single byte of the file to determine what exactly is corrupted.
(but i dont want to do that)
Is there a tool that could tellme what exactly is corrupted with this file ?
shameless bump number one

shameless bump number three
No, it's more like a CPU with electrons randomly flying through transitor gates with no regard for logic and causing crashes.

How old were you when you finally understand that Linux is an OS meant for servers or low-end hardware. But you have a powerful PC and leave it away for good.
For me when I was 20
>>60950916
Then you belong to /v/.
not true
the fact it works well on those things is only a testament to it's versatility but i have high end hardware on my main linux machine, because there are many things that use that power
there is much fun to be had with getting older hardware to perform super well though

How old were you when you finally POO IN THE LOO?
What happens with my 4K TV?
- 1 day old
- Running on a GT 530 (HDMI 1.4)
This happened twice so far. I also connected my other PC (1080 Ti / HDMI 2.0) and it showed the same image. I removed the power plug and it turned normal.
Is my TV defective? Why does this happen? It only affects the HDMI input, the menus (which are still accessible if it happens) looks normal

always good to have a friend who can hook you up
I think I remember hearing somewhere that you can use a toaster to repair or improve some computer component. I don't remember what part though.
Does this sound familiar to anyone, or am I crazy?
>>60951813
This is how enthusiasts overclock their rig!
Just put CPU with RAM sticks in toaster and set it to maximum!
Also, to make your GPU faster - microwave it, gama particles increases 3D graphics GHz.
Just be careful!!!
Don't put any metal with your GPU, because metal "sucks" all clocks, unless you want to downgrade, which doesn't make sense!!!
I've heard of people baking their graphics cards after removing the heatsinks and whatnot in order to re-flow the solder by heating it to its melting point, if that sounds familiar.
>>60951813
its more to remove/salvage all components of anytime of board, normally people use a hair dryer or a oven. Never heard or watch a video using a toaster.
