Nice, clean and pleasing to look at. Is that razer blade any good? Not going to buy it obviously, just curious seeing it here.
>>43162523
All that goodies, and you can't even afford a headphone stand..
>inb4 one of my headphone is also on the monitor (that's just there for picture day, 1 stand can hold both just fine).
>>43162636
A headphone stand is definitely on the list of stuff I need to purchase.
>>43162620
I personally think it's a very good laptop, same build quality as mac but it runs windows natively. It gives me a lot of power on the go too.
Also before anyone asks that is the terminal version of the Model M with no lights and it has blank keycaps.
How long before the internet is totally consolidated?
>>43151884
Things will change when people have access to the scale of storage/bandwith google has today.
Anybody will be able to have enough resources to start a youtube / google alternative.
>>43151884
>>43151968
Put it this way. The size of text isn't changing, and the size of media can only get so large, yet storage/bandwith technologies will continue to grow, and at some point giants like jewgle will start losing their massive advantage over the little guy.
>6 years ago 50% of the internet traffic came from several thousand websites
>now 50% of the internet traffic comes from 150 sites
these two statements are not contradictory, i'll let you think about that
Good afternoon /g/
My son is 13 years old and smart for his age. But he can be a big short sighted and rushed into things.
He wants to "make a game or animation". Yesterday he downloaded a trial of Adobe Flash, but I discouraged him from learning that since it's a program that's on it's way out.
I suggested maybe he should learn HTML and then HTML5, but he feels like that would take too long. He really just wants to jump straight in and see some results.
He has:
- Made a minecraft server on his own for him and his friends to play
- Completed all the Codecademy courses on Javascript and enjoyed it.
But this week he wants to animate something. What program do you recommend?
Flash, nigga.
Is that an actual picture of your son?
What kind of father are you?

What classes is /g/ enrolled in for the fall?
OOP class (required
Formal lang and Automata
Computer Algorithms
I might swap the algorithm class for software quality and testing.
>>43141405
>Linear Algebra
>Some java course
>Some assembly course
>Discrete mathematics
I seriously hate math.
>>43141405
Just starting so I'm just taking some beginning programming classes, and a networking class (required for programming degree). Also taking an intro to game dev/design class for the hell of it. Couldn't fit anything else there, anyway.
>>43142865
I don't hate math, sometimes it gives quite a bit of joy, but at some point I had to admit that I'm just not very good at it.
I hear a lot of people claim C++ is the end-all-be-all to game dev, but plenty of other languages are used. Comments?
>>43154977
C# ya dingus
>>43154977
They're right.
>>43154987
OP here, that's what I thought, but I still hear C++ for some reason that no one can explain.
Tox thread?
So I tried audio in Venom today, seems cool and all, but I must ask, will there be less of an audio delay in future updates? Is that part of the core constantly being updated, or is this what it will be like?
It is alpha, it is constantly getting bug fixes.

So I just bought a thinkpad, my first one. Apparently it is not as powerful as I thought it would be and also I didn't get as good of a deal as I thought I was.
>t510
>second gen i7
>8gb ram
>500 gb hdd
$260
Could someone post the /g/ guide?
Also where is a good place to order parts?
Should I replace factory hdd with a ssd, or just add a caddy with one. I have so many questions.

Current Battlestation Thread is slowly dying (>>43139055) so lets start a new one, what are you buying next edition?
For me:
>Custom Water cooling loop
>4K IPS Monitor
>New keyboard
>Thinking about getting some smaller speakers
>>43147483
How are you enjoying the q701's? I was on the fence about them and I ended up getting my HD 25-1 ll's.
>>43147483
hi
>>43147802
Really enjoying them, they lack a bit of bass, but once you've played around with the EQ they sound awesome.
I've probably asked you before, but what keyboard is that? I really want a new one like yours or something like this,

>m8 going to jap for the next month or two

>scientifically proven that girls like you when you have big proper jap fliphone
>probably won't be able to post starting october when i get that phone because ill be drowning in pussy
Smartphones are for little kids who like to play games and get entertained.
Fliphones are for people who need a high quality camera, a portable yet efficient form factor, superior T9 keyboard that makes you look instantly cool and mature when you type on it, and need to do business on it.
Not to mention it's multiple times cheaper than a smartphone is, and the batter lasts twice as long at least.
Nokia bricks are for poorfags and people who can't into phones, and probably don't even use 3G.
I'll just buy a tablet if I need android (already have a tablet).
>>43146968
I've said it before.
I'd kill for the flip phone to return to Europe.
Preferably I'd kill the smart phone market.
>arrives in customs
>that will be $100 sir
>b-b-but I owned this phone before!

>WHY ARENT YOU DONE WITH THIS YET ON CSI THEY CAN BUILD GOOEYS IN 5 MINUTES FROM MICROSFOT WORD
>IT CANT BE THAT HARD
Honestly they should feel lucky that I am either too lazy to help at all or only willing to offer a minimal foundation for them. If they came to me with an actual good idea for a program or website I would just steal it and claim it as my own. Fuck an 'idea guy'.

How hard does Jewtube compress 720p videos? I'm watching Walking Dead and was wondering if it's a good idea just to download and run with VLC for that sweet sweet quality.

Why is unetbootin not recognizing my USB drive? 8GB FAT32, it should show up.
Hey tech support I got a streaming issue for you to solve. When streaming when I switch my monitor input from DVI to HDMI to see my console on my monitor the stream sound/video both become really laggy and fucked and cannot be corrected without switching back to dvi to readd the camera to xsplit.
When using a console with component cables there is no issue but when using HDMI tons of issues.
Someone with knowledge on the workings of this witchcraft tell me how retarded I am. Also I made you a pretty paint picture showing the setup.
