sorry im forced to use old parts no one wants i am currently using a Dell D600 to monitor this thread.

the laptop worked well for its previous owner and im hoping to salvage more than just the HDD, Ram, optic drive,ect, and battery cells

these are pretty stupid. to cool something, you either blow cool air onto it or suck hot air away from it. you have it so the air moves parallel to the hot surface so as to cause virtually no change in temperature.

I think I found a solution. I plan on building a boost converter/charging protection circuit and Li ion battery into the system, then writing a script that triggers touchdown when switch from car-Li ion cell
should work with one of my rpis I have laying around and a 5 dollar gpio addon board. biggest question now is which SBC is best, and what the most cost efficient package is. (the rpi monitors are super expensive or are tiny and suck)

you need a new primer pump? or you need to adapt your current fuel lines to fit this priming pump?

is it just a diesel priming pump? you can use literally anything for that anon. from any model. what are you trying to do? you want to fit this somewhere else on the truck, blank where it would mount usually and run a hose between the two points? you would need to ask a mechanic to make you up two blanking plates easy enough job or make ityourself by cutting out some steel and filing the rough edges, drill a hole, fit a panel mount barb, apply nitrile gasket you make yourself, bolt it all down.

a fuel mechanic/diesel mechanic/brake shop can make one up for you. it's called a flared union. you've left the olive on the end of the pipe. this needs to be replaced. you can reuse the fittings you have just get a new compression olive.

Get a small metal clamp (you can get some tiny G-clamps or you can go with something like picture related), get some thin wire, a couple mm thick, thin enough to bend by hand, thick enough to hold up the weight of the thermometer, wrap one end of the wire around the clamp, you can be fancy and solder/weld it on or you could just wrap it around a few times, on the other end make a small loop, big enough for the metal part of the thermometer to go through but small enough so the plastic body doesn't. bam done. You can easily adjust the height by bending the wire in whatever direction you need, all the materials are cheap and easily replaceable so if they corrode from heat/whatever you're cooking you can replace them, is hight adjustable for different pots/levels of ingredients in the pot.

to make it adjustable i would probably try some kind of rod with grub screws setup, like in pick related, this method is nice for ease of use while still keeping stability. then you just need a form of clamp either end.

not sure if this is what you are looking for advice wise but hope it helps for ideas.

As long as the plies are similar thickness, and you have the same number of them, you should be good I think. A 1/4 board probably has three plies in it, so as long as your larger board has 9 or whatever it'd be similar. But just note that thinner plywood will probably be higher quality, as the inner plies of thick plywood may have knots/cracks/imperfections.

It's kind of silly though, because a 1/4 board (from which you could easily cut three rectangles and glue them together) is going to be much cheaper than a thicker sheet. Might as well just do it right in my opinion.

I agree with the other anon though, if I was doing it, I would use fiberglass. Just because it'd be way more fun to make and stronger in the end.

I have had good luck with one minute loctite
it really does hold in just one minute

Thank you. I have a few other pictures just in case somebody is interested, I suppose it is a pretty DIY topic.

The ones previously pictured were applied with a vibratory tumbler filled with BBs.

This one is was applied with an electrostatic gun, which gives a very smooth feeling coat, but wastes a lot of overspray compared to tumbling, and takes much, much, much more time.

The bottom is shiny because there is an aluminum gas check attached to the base.
