does anyone have the schematics of this pedal? pls help
you should probably look online with the reference. or on the company website.
if you don't find anything, try asking directly by mail. it work sometimes.
Should I squeeze a bunch of quikrete into the holes, let it dry then screw the rail back on?
I'd probably replace the anchors with some slightly larger but able to use the same size screw.
I'd also consider reusing those anchors with a good quality epoxy rated for use on concrete.

Thanks. Epoxy it will be.
>>1024906
take the screws out
epoxy the anchors in place fully seated
allow to cure completely
reinstall screws with bracket
I'm putting together a 26~ gallon aquarium. I have an oddly short hex tank (12wX14h panels) with a central column I'm pretty sure was for lighting.
Currently putting together a shopping list for material: I intend to put it 3 ft off the ground on a DIY stand made out of 2x4 with a single shelf and skinned in plywood.
Current shopping list as follows
42 ft total 2x4
12 ft Misc. Trim
1 4x8 1/2 in Plywood
1 lb 3 in Decking Screws
1 lb 3/4 in Decking Screws
2 Flush Mount Hinges
6 Leveling Feet
With any luck, I'll borrow a mitre or table saw to do the 60 degree cuts: I'm not going to try freehanding that shit.
Total height should be about five feet, supporting up to 400 lbs after water and equipment.
Any tips or advice? It's the first major project I've done in a while.
>>1024852
Might wanna miter those alleged 60 degree cuts. I've yet to see a miter saw or table saw cut that sharp of an angle.
>>1024855
I was more concerned with beveling the edges of the plywood than mitering the 2x4. It'll be possible to manually miter the 2x4 rather easily, but cutting the board to match the corners is going to be difficult. The alternative: Finding 120 degree trim, is another can of worms.
>>1024852
I'll note that I'm using a similar structure to the design build in this link:
http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2332092
As you can see, he uses a few tricks to skip excessive angle cutting, but I'm still stuck cutting the plywood on the outside with some angle or another.
Hello guys,
I need a machine to grind glass, a la Kronoglass (pic related), to round and bezel crystals from 1mm to 4mm thicc for my shop in southamerica, do you know of something capable to do that?
Kronoglass looks good, but seems really slow and I need to mass produce unfortunately, or at least save some time.
I know that I could buy the finished product from China and rebrand it, but customs in my country are a pain in the ass, so I'd rather risk it with a machine.
Is CNC accurate enough for this? Because I've considered a CNC machine and get something to do the bezel but I've had no luck with that. Or at least figure out how the chinese do it, I don't think they'll fond of sharing their secrets, and I assume the machinery they use is far bigger than I could ever need.
Thanks.
>>1024777
you could probably jump in the glassblowing thread. but I think an older flat lap machine would be better than what you posted. you can build one if you can get the steal. or a bridge drop. the larger the wheel the better.
I'm told from friends if you call the right company they will sell you basically any machine. you will not do it cheaper than the chinese bc the gov subsidizes shipping and for a long time the glass industry.
I know it's a double top plate, but the trusses run parallel to the wall so which is it?
>>1024722
You should really get a structural engineer to see to this.
Posting a few pictures online won't allow us to look closely or make proper remarks on it.
>>1024724
Yeah, started calling around, first one was $1000, second one was $400. Can't find anyone else, would a contractor be cheaper and able to do it?
>>1024722
cant see a fucking thing, what is below, that is near, what is above, take multiple angles, what is under, what is behind, you picture is confusing as fuck there is no indication you are looking where, is it up, is it down, is it left or right, is it same place, what the fuck
WHAT THE Fuck at i looking at, is that a scrap piece of stick just sitting there, is this inside a wall or a roof or what
fuck me
Need help figuring out the best way to install a 42 1/8" x 3'1/2" window in a 5 foot by 47 5/8" frame. Thinking I should just beef the initial frame up with 2x4s and shims and caulk the fuck out of it but I'm open for suggestions. I'm an amateur carpenter on a good day. Please and thanks guys
Bumparoony
Frame it in and use aluminum capping outside. Please put in a drip cap.
>>1024719
Frame in the opening 1/2" bigger than the window size for both height and width. Put the window in and nail the flange off (new construction window) or screw it through the shims once square, level and plumb (remodel window). Flash the outside, caulk around it, install aluminum drip cap, etc. Low expansion foam on the inside, then patch the drywall and siding around it.
I like using Flexwrap on the rough sill and going up about a foot on each side of the framing too along with caulking. Also if its possible, keep the top of the window at the same height as the rest of the windows in the room, especially if there is a window close to the new one on the same wall, just looks weird if they dont line up once the casing is on.
I need to replace one or two modules in my iphone 5s but i really can't get which one i should replace.
My problem is that the gps is not accurate and every minute it changes the coordinates, always in a radius of 100m anyway.
I really can't find out which part should i change anyway, this one:
https://www.google.com/search?q=flex+flat+gps+5s&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiXwu-g7fzNAhVGIcAKHUi2AtwQsAQIJA&biw=1309&bih=728&gws_rd=cr&ei=KLaMV8gJxNiABqHgj9gE#tbm=isch&q=gps+antenna+5s&imgrc=fKjDD-zkGmNIIM%3A
or this one:

or what else?
i have no problem in replace parts on my phone, i already built it starting from the mobo, i just need to know which is the correct part
>iPhone
Found the problem.
>>1024687
funny oblohohohoo. no
before you go ahead and rip some flexcables are you sure that your gps problem isn't a software issue after all? i mean using nothing but the mostly sparesly equiped gps module on cellphones almost always results in lo accuracy n shit.
So I've got the materials for a Cockroft-Walton multiplier and have a few questions.
Firstly, the first stage of a CW multiplier effectively multiplies the initial voltage by 2. I assume the output voltage is in some different format to the input voltage (apparently DC) and this stops a second stage from doubling the voltage again, is this right?
Secondly, if one stage outputs a DC current into the next stage, is it then possible to use DC as the initial input voltage?
Thirdly, what does the waveform of the multiplier's supposed DC output look like?
Thanks
Have you tried Wikipedia, the encyclopedia everyone can vandalize?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voltage_multiplier
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cockcroft%E2%80%93Walton_generator
A CW generally has two ladders of buckets. The first ladder gets pushed from the bottom, spilling charge into the buckets on the second ladder. The higher up a bucket is, the less good of a kick it gets, in other words the stacking is less effective the more stages you have.
The CW does not output DC, it outputs n*Vdrive with the Vdrive superimposed.
I really suggest playing around in LTspice if you want to get an idea of the waveforms. Then build it, and try to figure out why your real-world circuit sucks so bad (parasitics).
>>1024462
Thanks, I don't understand most of the words, but I'm downloading LTspice now.
I just bought pic related for about $3. I plugged it into my computer and sound came out of the headphone socket at fine quality. When I plugged my phone into the mic. socket my computer didn't pick up any signal, why is this? Is the spinal coming from a phone different to that coming from a mic? I tried to solder some 3.5 jacks and sockets together and found the same problem, what do?
>>1024348
>When I plugged my phone into the mic. socket
what did you plug in and into what port on your computer?
>>1024354
plugged the purchased device's 4 pin 3.5mm jack into the 4 pin 3.5mm computer socket, used a 3.5mm male-to-male lead to connect the audio-out socket of the phone to the audio-in socket of the purchased device.
I want to replace some of my time-wasting with learning. I want to use my free time to reignite my spark for electronics and creating and programming.
Pop-sci videos make me excited as fuck, but I really don't know anything about content producers that are worthwhile. Does anyone have any recommendations for YouTube channels or websites that create DIY/creation content that's either interesting as fuck, or that helps ease people into DIY things?
There's a bit of /sci/ in this question too but that place is crap. I love you, /diy/.
There are a lot of good resources on the sticky.
What I remember now is kipkay from make magazine, but the sticky names a few more.
I am having trouble keeping the water inside my shower.
I'm used to having a bathtub shower all in one type thing, but the kind I have here doesn't have a tub or a step or anything. I put up a regular shower curtain and rod I bought from home depot but it does a shitty job at keeping the water in.
Does anyone have suggestions on how to fix this issue?
Either get a door or a bottom slider for the curtains to seal the water in.
Being this retarded.
That unit wasn't build properly at all. It needs a sliding glass door and/or a trough drain. Jesus christ, surprise shit thread.
Hi /diy/,
A neighbor if mine is looking to refinish his floors and he's having some difficulty removing the preexisting varnish. I offered to help and thought I'd ask here to see if you had any tips. We've scraped most of the varnish off, but some just won't give, be it under a sander, chemical remover, or just elbow grease.
Maybe you lot know some tips or tricks?
Thanks in advance.
I've done this once before so check with the others here, but cover the floor with paint stripper (xylene or acetone or whatever) and scrape it off with a putty knife. This is what I did to remove surface polyurethane, but if his preexisting finish is closer to a stain, I don't know what to do. Also make sure to wear a chemical mask and keep the area ventilated, or you're gonna have a bad trip. Don't cover too much at a time, or it will evaporate before you scrape the stuff off.
Does anyone have experience with making a mook jong or plumb blossom poles? I've been training wing chun for a year almost and want to make these instead of buy them.
I've done research, but haven't really found much aside from the Chinese want money.
If you can do 50 pullups you can defend yourself with wing chun.
What are some other kits I can make for any situation
So far its
Fish kit.
Med kit.
Gun kit.
What other kit could you make with pvc?
Dragon dildo with cumlube kit.
>>1023856
I'd never actually make it out of the city in a real disaster because the streets would be totally jammed by morons kit.
>>1023856
A concealed kit so you can be the gray man instead of open carrying kits or having obvious strange bulges in your pack.
Unless you live where fishing kit is useful AND you test and prove your kit it may be dead weight.
Study "soldiers load" then make a complete bugout pack that doesn't look like one. You can also make a larger pack to complement it.
PVC is not the point. The mission is the point with PVC being a tool. How many SF troops carry PVC kit? PVC is best for burying waterproof stashes. (Bury under scrap pile or other shit where metal detectors will be disregarded if used.)
A pole-digging tool is nice for buring PVC deep with minimal ground disturbance.
Hey guys, i am a an apprentice carpenter and i pretty much understand the technological basis of furniture construction, but the problem is that i cant get the hang of the artistic aspects of furniture design, like Proportions, dimensions and shape combinations.
Do you have any reference literature to help me out with that?
