How the hell would he work in the MCU, any ideas? His powers make it seem like filming his fight scenes would be tricky.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they just leave The Spot out of the MCU, or just have him make a quick cameo in a montage of Spidey beating various C- and D-list villains.
>>
>>86833213

He could make for a great villain but no idea if he could carry a whole movie, would be good if he was the villain while Spidey obtained the symbiote suit. He'd probably work better as a Daredevil or Moon Knight villain.

I'm pretty new to comics and given that everyone hypes the fuck out of pic related I decided to read it and watch the movie. I thought they were actually pretty enjoyable and reflected a bitter old man side of Batman pretty well. My question is though, is why do people consider it to be a defining comic? Why is it up there consistently with comics like Watchmen? I'm not saying it wasn't good, or that it couldn't be considered influential it's just I don't quite get why.

One of the first stories to give rise to the darker side of comics.

Showed that comics could be targeted to audiences other than kids and still be successful.
>>
>>86832928
It's not an inherently amazing story - just a good one.
It changed the comic industry itself, that's all.
Watchmen is an 80s timepiece and a criticism of 80s popular culture as well as the 80s comic industry, if you didnt read it in the 80s stop fucking hyping watchmen you didnt /really/ read it.

Can anyone recommend any comics/graphic novels based around the colonial era/age of exploration of America? I'm basically looking for anything pre-revolutionary war. Pic semi-related

Hopefully not.
This movie (and the one before it) were absolute dogshit. Whoever's idea it was to put Michael Bay in charge of TMNT should be shot. Bay has raped the franchise.

At this point, I would rather the tommy righs be given to Disney. At least they know how to mark GOOD action movies. Heck, TMNT in the MCU would be hella awesome!

http://www.cbr.com/nycc-gerard-way-releasing-song-that-ties-into-his-cave-carson-comic/

>At DC’s Young Animal panel presentation for New York Comic Con, Gerard Way revealed that he wrote a new song that accompanies his upcoming comic as part of the imprint, called “Cave Carson Has a Cybernetic Eye.”

>At the end of the panel, the moderator announced that attendees of the panel would exclusively get their hands on a cassette tape featuring the new song, which is titled “Into the Cave We Wander.” Of course, Way has a long history producing music, as he gained international recognition as part of the band My Chemical Romance, and later in his own right as a solo artist.

>Way noted the song comes from a fake ’70s documentary, that will be touched on in the comic, about Cave Carson’s life.

I have an almighty need.

>Way said he’ll release more songs that tie into the line sometime next year. As for getting your hands on “Into the Cave We Wander” if you weren’t at the panel — Way noted that the song will eventually release “in some form” to the general public.

Gonna give it to you hard but straight.

1. Comics is the preferred term over graphic novels unless you are specifically talking about large volumes that are not compilations of earlier issues.
2. Comics are not just superheroes. Explore all possible genres and publishers to find what you like best.
3. Follow writers/artists you like, NOT characters you like.
4. Ignore the fag who shits on anyone who asks for recs. He is eternally buttblasted but ultimately impotent.
5. Do NOT only read what people recommend. Go out of your way to find things that look interesting to YOU. Don't be discouraged from reading things because someone on /co/ said it was shit. Read it for yourself and find out. You have to read bad comics before you can know what good comics are.
6. I recommend you read Gaiman's Sandman, Moore's Supreme, and Kirby's Fantastic Four to start off.

Have a good time.
>>
>>86775599
Much appreciated based anon.
I literally just bought Sandman Preludes and Nightmares and am excited to get into it. I don't know much about writers or artists other than I love a lot of Brian K Vaughns work and Greg Capullo draws one hell of a Batman.

You should follow this up by actually recommending a graphic novel.

For example, I recommend this one.

http://www.mediafire.com/file/3nrdp48s4pddr83/A+Contract+with+God+%281978%2C+2000%29.cbr

Full of graphical novelty goodness, just what a person needs to begin to understand the difference between graphic novels and monthly floppies.

What do you anons think of these comics? I personally enjoyed them a long time ago when my aunt bought a big box of the digest collections and used them as bathroom readers.

The older stuff was up and down in quality up until about the sixties when it picked up some. In the forties, the best material was really the daily comic strip with the main comics not being as sharp and having some truly godawful content in stuff like Superduck.

The best era for it was was in the late '70s and early '80s when the company was publicly held and was willing to publish more risque content and gave the artists more freedom.

Then there was a decline after it went back to being privately held up until a few years ago when they started branching out again.

I have hundreds of the Archie digests. Mom would buy them for me whenever she went to the grocery store. I still treasure them, they're such a great source of goofiness and silly characters.

And sexy girls. Wow, the stuff that DeCarlo especially got away with.
>>
>>86833102
What do you think of the Archie by Waid?

I think the first numbers were ok, but then Waid fails to deliver and lost my interest.

Djali is a male goat.

And with his swagger, all the bitches lined up to be his Esmeralda during the day.

At night, Esmeralda was his, regardless of what that blonde-ass white boy whose inferior member could ever pleasure a woman would say to those who asked.
Just look at those eyes in OP's picture. That's the look of a goat who knows who belongs to him.
