Is Gargoyles still worth watching, even if I have no nostalgia for it? (I barely saw it as a kid)
Absolutely - it holds up very well on all fronts, and has some downright amazing voice acting. I'd go one better, and say it's better than most of the action cartoons of the past 10 years.
>>86829824
Yes, but only the first two seasons and the comic book. Avoid the third season ("The Goliath Chronicles") like the plague.
I watched the first 2 seasons for the first time about 8-9 months ago.
I thought it was pretty great and lived up to what everyone says about it.
>Another Jim Lee style modeled artist drawing Titans
sigh, it was good while it lasted
You know I used to not believe in the Teen Titans curse
I'd rather have Jim Lee-lite than the shit they have right now on the book.
If there was one thing that could push Rebirth to new heights, it would be abandoning house style all together.
Alright, /co/, I wanna get scared and depressed. What, in your opinion, is the piece of western animated media that best expresses the ideas and themes of Grimdark? Comics are fine, too, but I'm really looking for animated stuff.
I'd cast my vote for pic related. Rewatched it recently and it's just as distressing as the first time I saw it. Probably the best thing to come out of the franchise.
>inb4 it's not animated by a western animation studio so it's not muh /co/
If The Boondocks is /co/, so is this.
>>86829779
Also, I should mention, I'm looking for overtly Grimdark shit. Yeah, the Land of Ooo might just be post apocalyptic Earth and everyone in Hey Arnold! might be fucked up members of a disenfranchised urban generation, but I want that shit up front.
>>86829779
That whole sequence fucked me up badly as a child. I still feel so uneasy and awkward looming at it. I can watch rekt threads all day but that still fucks me badly
>>86829884
Same, man. It's honestly some of the most horrifying shit I've seen to this day.
The part where they're poking around in the guy's brain and he goes from laughing to sobbing, all at nothing? Awful. It's a combination of an horrific situation and the realization that that's all anything we've ever felt is, just electro-chemical reactions in our brain.
It's fucked, man. It's that feeling of horror I've been chasing since then.
There has to have been at least ONE thing in this movie that made you laugh

why is he so fat?
The kitchen scene I admit
Will this be any good?
Jason Fabok is doing art so yes.

Any member of the Justice League save for Batman can solo the entire Suicide Squad save for Enchantress, so no.
>"There's a scene between Killer Croc and Aquaman that has so much blood in it. So much blood. Lot of blood,” Williamson said. “For me, I write a lot of horror books, but writing for DC and writing The Flash I can't get into as much horror stuff as I used to, but with Justice League vs. Suicide Squad I've definitely been able to get into some of the more scary elements of the DC Universe. And there's some fights and some bloody stuff that happens. I think people will be surprised by how crazy things get."

You think they'll ever make him straight again?
Maybe bi but not full straight. Tumblr would be out for blood.
>>86829529
No, because he'll be portrayed as bisexual.
Jean saw the gay thoughts in his head and like the dumbass she is, immediately assumed he was full on gay, instead of liking both the ladies and the gents.
>>86829529
How could they without making Jean a supervillain?
He's gay for good. They might make him bi, which I'd be fine with, but never straight again.
