I always see memes saying Cartoon Network "died" in 2004, and my question is "Why though?". CN City began in 2004, and that's widely considered to be their greatest era, with great shows like Code lyoko, Squirrel boy, and Ozzy & Drix. So how could CN die in the year where they began their greatest era?
If anything, I'd peg CN as dying in 2007. After the Boston Bomb Mooninite Scare incident in February of that year, Stuart snyder took over. CN City ended, the beloved Fridays block was replaced the poor Fried Dynamite, Toonami was cancelled, the CN Real block was established, etc.
So please stop saying "RIP Cartoon network 1992-2004". Really, it's "RIP Cartoon Network 1992-2007"
>mfw sifting through all this shitty cn nostalgia videos full of "i was born in the wrong generation!" comments

>CN City
>Shitty
No. The only shitty years for CN were 2007-2009. Other than that they've been a pretty consistent, high-quality channel.

Saying CN died in 2004 is the most retarded thing ever, because in 2005 CN had this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PEdhQQzoZx4
And Justice League was still going for two years.
The only people who think CN didn't have good stuff in those years are part of the problem that it doesn't have that good stuff anymore.
Somehow, I can see Goofy being a mudslime.

This actually happened in family guy though in a cutaway meme gag.

wheres the joke
how did it fail /co/
it was the thing you went to if there was nothing on Nick, Disney, or CN and it still had some merit of it's own
>>87716937
yeah it was a good channal
It's because The Hub was a channel that everyone owned or something like that
>>87716937
>how did it fail /co/
Man, you know what's a great idea? Making our channel subscription based
>tfw your cartoon will never make it to televisions across the country
>>87716752
Not with that attitude they won't
Now get to work, faggot.
Yes, it will.
>>87716790
Hey! Don't call anon a faggot, you faggot.
Lets say that Dredd is now in Gotham and Batman is in Mega city one.
How is the crime rate of both cities effected /co/?
>>87716743
That's one sick ass art
Who's the artist
>>87716743
>Gotham
Crime is fucked.
>Mega City 1
Crime is mildly inconvenienced.
Would Judge dredd enforce Gotham using Mega City 1's laws or Gotham's?
I sware there was a cartoon on PBS Kids based of Were The Wild Thing Are,that would air after the most recent Berenstain Bears cartoon and was even made by the same pepole! but there is no such cartoon?
Ether its lost media,im getting it confused with Reading Rainbow/Between the lions or its the Mandela Effect!

No, this is real. It's not directly based on Where the Wild Things Are, but uses character designs from it and was made by Maurice Sendek

Looks like Cartoon Network ditched their Cartoon Cartoons end tag at the very end of series releases. Now it's this.
Shame, I really liked the tune and look of the one that has been around for awhile.
You shouldn't even feel depressed about this anymore
>>87716662
CN got rid of the Cartoon cartoons *name* all the way back in 2003 dude.
But they didn't get rid of the *jingle* until now.
>Just because someone looks different than you, or thinks differently than you, doesn't mean you should be afraid of them. It means you should be angry at them, how dare they be different! What, my way of life not good enough for em?!?
>So you're saying I should beat them up?
>Billy, fighting outside of a hockey rink is wrong. But I'm imaginary, so do what ya gotta do

Kill yourself.

what did he mean by this?

He means this is now an Eris thread
Remember that time JRJR wrote a Superman story and everyone was written out of character, but it was still one of the most entertaining issues DC had published?
I just want more stories with the JL drinking dammit.
why?
>former cape talents
>create edgy tv pilots
>less inspired story
>less iconic artwork
>mediocre in comparison
>>87715881
I heard it all kinda fell apart over bickering between the talent. Great artists and writers, but shitty businessmen.
You're forgetting
>finally gave artists and writers full creative control and ownership (most of the time).
>allowed people with actual talent to make good books.
>eventually became a place for all kinds of interesting stories to be published instead of grimderp edgy shit.
Spawn and Savage Dragon may be shit, but there were some gems even in the early days.
They've done well by Brubaker/Phillips
What went wrong?

It's been theorized that they're two different characters who have the same name. One is the god of the sea with terrific powers, while the other is the king of the sea whose power is only limited to his trident. In fact, it would make sense for the king's parents to name him after the god that they worship.
I could buy it, especially considering how they brought back the old version in the post-movie episodes.
what did you think /co/?i liked the dig at the ending of Dark Knight Returns
>>87715314

One job, anon.

DARK KNIGHT RISES
>>87715314
Easily one of my top five Batman movies of all time. No contest
I watched that "Greg's Greatest Hits" SU special and all the episodes were pretty appealing to me. It played the Light Cannon one, the Message, and two flashback episodes with Steven's mom. I loved Greg himself and the dialogue was pretty great.
I really enjoyed Gravity Falls and to a lesser extent Star Vs. Should I start this show?
>>87715127
I hope you like filler and pig noses.
Yeah, Greg is great
If you liked Steven and the Gems as well as Greg then yeah, sounds like you're into it.
Personally I think it has better deepest lore than GF but who knows, maybe it will end up shitting the bed equally as hard at the end of the show but it hasn't done it yet.
Are you excited for Infinity Wars?!
>>87715083
>>Putting Viggo's assistant on that chart
Somehow, I strongly doubt he'll be in any future Marvel projects.

Does anyone here even score below a 6?
>gamora

kek
This fucking retard is still trying to sell chopped up fish to everyone and the only way he can get over it is stealing someone else's copyrighted food.
What's his issue?
Nowadays when I watch this movie, after seeing post-movie episodes like Plankton's regular and One Coarse Meal, I can't help but wish Plankton won and Krabs got fried by Neptune.
Krabs wouldn't let Plankton have a single customer and nearly drove Plankton to *suicide*, yet he's supposed to be the good guy here. I was cheering as Krabs was crying and Neptune nearly killed him, but SpongeBob and Patrick unfortunately ruined the execution.
>>87715816
This is what happens when the show drags on way longer than it was supposed to.
Imagine if Nickelodeon actually let Spongebob retire after the movie and forced itself to find the next Spongebob. Nick would probably be a much better channel and have much more creative content (or maybe not, but at least Spongebob would maintain it's integrity).
>>87716505
Nick sucks now because Cyma Zarghami took over in 2006. Most of the shows she greenlights are terrible.
