Is it bad to only buy trades? I hate the floppy format.
>>87699260
nope, i do the same anon
>>87699260
Nah, if it weren't for trades this industry would have gone down a long time ago.
It's not at all bad to buy trades only, but it has an unfortunate side-effect of cutting into floppy sales, which are the primary source of statistics for publishers. That is to say, trade-waiting on a good series may inadvertently cause that series to be cancelled prematurely.
However, I do believe that TPB pre-orders are starting to be considered alongside floppy sales, but I'm not sure if that's actually the case.
A long time ago there was a thread discussing the best comic book movie villains and this was the general outcome of who the most people agreed upon
Is this still true? Is there any recent ones that would be on the level of these?
Kingpin and Bullseye from the film and Loli...maybe

If your mom or dad didn't try to goad you into chimping out when you were a kid, they did it wrong

I miss the body horror elements that season 1 had with it's shapeshifting and gem monsters, like frybo.
What is the difference between these two?
What is the difference between Damien and Jason besides that one carries a sword
Boom Boom is trailer trash, Jubilee is a mallrat
Boom Boom is a slut, Jubilee is pure
Boom Boom is pretty dumb, Jubilee is relatively smart.
Really their only similarities are their powers, and even those differ in their nature.

Do you think the DCEU is gonna make a good "Shazam" movie?

IMAX Corp. (NYSE: IMAX), Marvel Television, a unit of Marvel Entertainment, and Disney|ABC Television Group today announced an innovative agreement to exclusively premiere the new ABC series “Marvel’s The Inhumans” in IMAX commercial theatres, marking the first time a live-action television series has debuted in this manner.
Under the agreement, a version of the first two episodes of Marvel Television’s new series “Marvel’s The Inhumans”--produced in conjunction with ABC Studios and filmed entirely with IMAX digital cameras--will run worldwide exclusively in IMAX for two weeks at the beginning of September 2017. ABC plans to then premiere the weekly series in fall, with additional exclusive content that can only be seen on the network.
The Inhumans, a race of superhumans with diverse and singularly unique powers, were first introduced in Marvel Comics by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1965. Since that time, they have grown in prominence and become some of the most popular and iconic characters in the Marvel Universe. “Marvel’s The Inhumans” will explore the never-before-told epic adventure of Black Bolt and the royal family.
ABC, IMAX and Marvel Television also intend to work together to create a joint marketing and promotion plan for the series across their proprietary media platforms--which would be the first such cross-platform marketing launch of a television series. Today’s agreement also marks IMAX’s first time as a financing participant in a TV pilot and series.
“This unprecedented alliance represents a bold, innovative approach to launching great TV content for a worldwide audience,” said Ben Sherwood, co-chairman, Disney Media Networks and president, Disney|ABC Television Group. “It highlights Disney|ABC’s unrelenting commitment to finding new and creative ways to showcasing our very best programming and increasing global engagement and reach.”

This deal also provides audiences with high-quality, compelling entertainment options during what have traditionally been lulls in the summer blockbuster season. These IMAX audiences also tend to have high engagement and positive response to comic book fare.

Basically a massive theater screen with a super HD camera used
I want to have a fun discussion about the nature of cartoons. So...Roger Rabbit counts as a cartoon, despite being more than 50% live action.By comparison, James Cameron's Avatar is more than 50% animation. Does this mean Avatar is a cartoon? What about the Transformers movies?
Where is the line drawn for you? Is it in the marketing? The type of animation used? Here's a list of potentially useful items:
>Roger Rabbit (mostly live action with cartoony animation throughout)
>Avatar (mostly realistic animation with live action segments)
>Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (roughly 50/50 split between animation and live action)
>Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within (entirely animated, but meant to look like live action)
>Dinosaur (animated characters on live action backgrounds)
>Muppets (entirely live action but allowed on /co/)
>Coraline (like all stop-motion, blurs the line between live action and animation)
Discuss.
Just post Navi porn and make yourself useful faggot
>>87696528
Well, they're making Avatar comics at some point, so expect the "fanbase" (pfft) to start demanding generals and shit for every Avatar-related retardation out there, like the Godzilla and Power Rangers autists.
>>87696547
You can do better, my man.
>>87696559
I'm not asking about what should be allowed on /co/. I'm asking what is a cartoon, and what is not a cartoon, and why?
Hey this stupid thing updated again with more plot dump.
Hey, Chochi might actually be sticking to it this time around! We might get an update on Friday as well!

Probably Scarlett.
Yo, Ive been watching all the main Universal Monster movies (Dracula, Frankenstein, Invisible Man, etc) and I want to read some comics starring these cool dudes. I know there was Werewolf by Night, but i'm not sure of any others.
Not looking for Morbius or any established Marvel "superhero/villain", I want to see the Mummy chase after people or Gill Man terrorize some surfers for intruding on his lagoon
