Anyone here managed to significantly cut down on their sugar consumption? How has it affected your health and your relationship with food?
22 posts and 4 images submitted.
>>
Yes. I consumed it mostly through soda (1l per day). How it affect my health:
- less constipation
- skin is cleaner and firmer
- don't feel "heavy" right after waking up

About taste, nothing too different.
>>
>stopped drinking soda
>replaced it with coffee
>stopped adding sugar or cream
>lost 30lbs since january

I don't even exercise, there's no reason for people to drink soda, that shit only exists to dumb down the population.

I only use refined sugar when curing meat. Don't eat sugar desserts and don't drink HFCS soda. Never felt butthurt about it. Strangely enough, I'm not a fatass. Get better my fellow amerilards and stop burying your head in the sand in the name of a patriotism that keeps you fat dumb and stupid.

alright /ck/, I need your assistance. I have never browsed here. I need to know how to eat healthy. my problem is that I don't like many vegetables, nor do I eat healthy at all. I am tired of feeling so clouded in the head from smoking and bad eating habits.

my question is this: what should I eat to make it EASIEST to transition from unhealthy to healthy eating?

I have read that I should find my "gateway vegetable", and I think that's carrots and kale. I like some fruit, and can manage that side, but I need to branch away from shit food that is making life worse for me.

I feel like healthy eating is my first step to a better life, and I appreciate all the help I can get.

That's hard to answer without knowing your preferences and where you live. Obviously a Chinese person is going to have a different basic diet than a German or an Aussie, etc.

A few random tips that might help you:
1) Chances are you do like plenty of vegetables, you just don't like how they were/are cooked. Experiment with different cooking methods.

2) Reduce or eliminate processed foods from your diet. Make things from scratch instead. That simple step alone will remove all the artificial junk from your diet.
>>

thank you, anon. I am in East TN.

>Chances are you do like plenty of vegetables, you just don't like how they were/are cooked.
experimenting with other veggies, yeah? that sounds like something reasonable.

eliminating processed foods is also nice, though I am on a budget so cooking all of my meals from scratch isn't a real option right now. thank you thank you

I've eaten them before. They taste good, but there's very little meat on them. (yes, it was legal--in my area that kind of dove is considered a pest animal)

How do you pepper/salt mill clean when seasoning raw meat? You need one hand to turn the meat and rub the seasoning into it. With other herbs and spices it's easier, one hand on the spice one on the meat, but with the mill you need both hands.

I've tried touching the meat only with my fingertips and holding the mill in the palm, sorta, but it's quite awkward and inefficient. Professional chefs must have a better way. Do they grind the spices in advance?

Serious thread please.

Duh, but that's a lot of washing hands. I can't believe that someone who cooks a hundred steaks a day will wash his hands twice per every single one.

FYI, the price of the Anova Culinary Bluetooth Sous Vide Precision Cooker was just reduced to $109 on amazon.com.

What is the latest meme to die and why is it sous vide cooking?

Did people realize they were getting meme'd and now no one wants them and they are having to sell them off in a firesale to reduce inventory before they are left holding the bag?

It really is 2017. These really are the questions we are asking ourselves.

I think that pretty much proves it. Humans didn't evolve far enough before discovering electricity. Thanks Tesla, you ruined everything.

Hey /ck/! So I've been browsing for about a year now. Trying to get a grasp on what foods I should be eating everyday that's filling and healthy. So far no dice. I tried eating salmon and rice every night and just oatmeal and bananas for breakfast then holding off on lunch. It's not doing much...
What do you think I should be eating everyday?
I'm 125 lbs and female. I also work out daily, if that helps. Thanks!
