Because it ain't a community of cooks without tales of the times we know we fucked up and dealt with the liquid consequences.

Assuming I have no ingredients besides spices and sauces, what is the best dish I can make for under $20?
>>8901916

>>8901916
Tomato basil soup.

This is the best soft drink. Nothing else even compares to this.

For me it's Dr. Pepper, the best soda.
>>8898545
I'm drinking it for the first time right now. It's alright, not nearly as good as the mango ginger flavor that came out a few months ago.

Alright /ck/ which of you motherfuckers knows the true majesty that is jicama?
A lot of you probably saw it in the supermarket and didn't know what it was and it didn't look interesting so you ignored it and YOU FUCKED UP.
This shit is tasty as fuck, it's cheap as fuck, and its healthy as fuck. "B-b-but I don't know how to pronounce or cook it". Well I'm gonna tell you all about that. It is Mexican in origin so the "J" is pronounced as an "H". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWi4x0LuO1E
To prepare it is the simplest thing in the world. You peel of the skin and cut it however you like and that's it. This shit tastes great FUCKING RAW. It is slightly sweet yet crispy and juicy. Like if an apple got tired of being a shitty tree fruit and grew the fuck up into a glorious tuber. You can just slice it up and eat it like that or you can toss that bitch in a salad. It can also stand up to some light cooking while retaining its crispness so you can also use it in a stirfry.
Next time you are grocery shopping and you come across a jicama you damn well better get one.
its pretty nice if you cut it into sticks and eat hummus or peanut butter with it.
>>8909027
What can I cook with it?
>>8909027
We simply call it turnip here easier to pronounce.

Hello everyone, this is........ review
too bad you guys ran him away.
where does he post now?

Hopefully he stays gone and jack will be next
This is good stuff - you have to have the right broth, correct amount of onions, and cheese distribution has to be on point. Share your experiences here - good and bad. Thanks!
Good experience: The first time I made French Onion soup from scratch, when I was a teenager, loving the long, slow process, and the delicious results.
Bad experience: My husband taking some leftover French Onion soup out of the fridge for lunch, and microwaving it, then putting the cheese INTO the soup and just toasting some bread, and wondering why his soup was so fucked up, and showed me the giant blob of melted cheese in the bottom of his bowl. Made me want to facepalm myself to death.

Oh my god, are you in London? Please be in London I can't believe this is happening.
>>8907838
Shut up, you.
Bought a few packages of this ground beef at aldi today and when I opened the pack tonight there was a weird like rotted egg smell from the pack. Not like it was bad meat just strange smell that seemed to have gone away after cooking. Is that normal?
