>>9413637

>>9413637
You can't spice it up. Kill yourself
>>9413637
>fresh macaroni nor will I buy any.

Does /ck/ own a breadmaker?
I've been thinking of getting one. Any advice in what to look for or what to avoid?
>>9413507
>Does /ck/ own a breadmaker?
Yea, an oven
>>9413507
I had one and loved it. check thrift stores, good chance you'll find one.
I forget how I got mine. and I didn't have a manual but was able to find recipes on the net. the recipes called for powdered milk
some of them even have a setting for pizza dough where it blends and proofs the dough
>>9413507
My father has one and his bread always comes out very shitty. I don't know if it's him or the bread maker.
I threw this together and I'm surprised how good it is!
ok
>>9413362
>I vomited some quesadillas and cheap beer into a bowl

How does /ck/ like their steak (or any other meat for that matter) cooked? I say rare is by far the best, and anything else above that is eaten by children and adult idiots. My significant other believes rare steak is gross and I might as well bite a live cow. What do the pros think?
>>9413354
Rare is the best your s/o has shit taste. Exception is medium rare for lamb because the fat has a slightly higher melting point.
medium rare is generally best, rare if it's a particularly lean or smooth cut like fillet.

Worst thread I've seen in a long time. Leave 4chan forever.
Ghetto sauces youlove but can't get.
Fucking love these, taste so good but my supermarket only carries tobasco green and red. Everything is all organic shit and i'm too scared to go to the shittier markets since i'm white:
>>9413336
>i'm too scared to go to the shittier markets since i'm white
Wtf, I used to be a regular at the most ghetto liquor store in the city and never had any problems. Don't be a pussy, go get some hot sauce at Ooga Booga Mart.
>>9413336
You can get those on Amazon
>>9413336
be a man dammit.
Why do you waste food?
>>9413213
as a personal fuck you to all Africans
More preservatives would fix the problem of wasted food. And to think people bitch that McDonalds food won't decompose. baka
If we all had compost piles this wouldn't happen.
Is this ethical?

As long as it's delicious it's ethical.
These days are hard. You have been drinking. You want more but know you shouldn't.
Which kind of liqour doesn't make my breath smell of alcohol?
>>9413059
if you're an alcoholic you cant hide the smell of alcohol, period
i told myself id try and do better this semester.. well it's 8 weeks in and i'm doing worse than ever. who the fuck was i kidding? only myself i guess since ive managed to lose everyone that mattered
>>9413088
Sure you're not exaggerating? Who did you lose.
>>9413101
Not really; i open myself up to very few people, and of those select people all of them have managed to go full no contact on me over the last few years. Some of it i deserve, but mostly not.
I still have my father, but he is convinced he doesn't have much longer left, id guess a few years at most. My mum is like me, or rather i'm like my mum, she lives alone and has been an alcoholic for the past 20 years. I havent seen her in over a year because she never makes it to any planned meetups and wont let me come visit (she wont tell me her her new address). Last i heard of her she took 50 valium and drank a cask of wine, jumped off something of inadequate height and fractured her spine.
Other than that, i don't really talk to anyone except anons.
Perfection!
>>9413014
Why is your pancake and fruit touching the beans? Or even on the same plate?

Hey /ck/, I'm about to go grocery shopping and I had a few questions. I'm in college and I want to start getting fit (I get the whole rice, broccoli, chicken thing, no need to ask about that for the millionth time), but I'm wondering how much I should invest into making my own stuff. Should I be baking my own bread or at least learning to? Should I be making my own sauces or go for store-bought stuff? I don't have a whole lot of counter space to work with, but I can try and make something work if making my own stuff is the way to go. Thanks in advance.
>>9412590
you should do everything from scratch that doesn't require more than an hour of physical labor
that includes but is not limited to
>bread
>sauces
>noodles
however if you do this with the goal of getting fit i suggest simply buying most convenient foods and simply cooking fresh and use the time saved to work out instead
there's no need to bake yourself if you can grab something fresh from the baker each day, unless you're some poorfag
>>9412590
>>>/fit/
Premade sauces can pack a lot of shit you might not want. Depending on the sauce it might be more in line with your goals to make it yourself. If you must make your own brotein bread I suggest a bread maker since you're in college and need your time for other things. Also a small rice cooker.
If it's worth the time for you and you can't find a bread that you like anywhere it is a good idea to learn how to make it yourself. I mean, what do you have to lose except some time? Learning how to do something is _always_ a good idea. It can't be stressed enough.
>tfw my mother fell for the olive oil meme
Because of the hurricane, my mother has been staying with me for a while. She's always been a pretty solid cook and because of her flight benefits, she's actually very cognisant of many different styles of cooking and various food cultures.
However, I didn't really get into cooking until I moved out and now that she's here with me and we're cooking either together or for one another, I've noticed some of her cooking habits that annoy me.
Most notably, she uses olive oil for fucking _everything_.
Scrambled eggs?
>olive oil
Refried beans?
>olive oil
Fried chicken?
>olive oil
Stir fry?
>olive oil
The list is endless Any time you'd want to pour a bit of canola or peanut oil, or even a pad of butter, into a pan to cook something, it's fucking olive oil.
My pantry isn't the best stocked, but I have plenty of canola, peanut, vegetable and hell, even sunflower oil. There's always butter in my fridge because it's necessary for most cooking.
The other day she was going to cook pollo milanesa (basically, breaded chicken breast fried in a pan), and she was going to do so in olive oil.
I tricked her while she was mid-pour, filling the skillet up with olive oil, which I dumped and refilled with peanut oil.
How the fuck do I fix this?
I don't particularly have an issue with olive oil, but it's not meant for fucking everything.
She already remarks on how, when we cook the same items that require oil, mine always come out better, but she thinks it's because of my MSG-magic and somehow me drinking whiskey while I cook makes me great.

so tell her the flavors from the olive oil don't mix well with every single dish and stop reddit spacing on /ck/ about it
I don't know your mother. Some mothers can be reasoned with, others don't so you have to roll with whatever.
It is 1:39 am PST. I doubt you're American, likely a shitposting foreigner.
someone talk me out of buying $900 worth of cutlery please
>>9412110
Give me the 900 dollars. I'm a poor NEET.
