Would you hire someone to manage for you, if they seemed to not give a crap and it's totally one sided. But they're pretty good and know they can do it? It is just frustrating how apathetic she comes off. I was thinking about an idea that /biz/ could do to start a company.
I have no idea how to use IRC or any of that shit. but if someone wants to bring up the IRC channel, or some chat room where all the /biz/ nitches go to talk about business.
But anyone feel like doing a /biz/ company or something.
My idea would be a nonprofit sever farm, and webhosting.
clientele would be other grassroots non-profits, or hosting for mom and pop busienss or something.
I don't really have much of the smaller details . but I like the idea of a non-profit, or even an NGO server farm, webhosting, cloud storage thing.

I'm very book smart. I did a respected degree. But on Monday I had a graduate assessment centre for a prestigious government department and probably failed, probably due to bad social skills and / or nervousness.
If you gave me the interview questions on a piece of paper and told me to type up answers for tomorrow, I'd easily do perfectly. Many online application forms require written answers to competency style questions and I've passed them. I'm not a sperg who rambles for 10 minutes. I understand what they look for in competency questions. But when I'm in interviews my voice gets "clogged up" (a lot of saliva in my mouth, I'm quieter, maybe speaking quickly sometimes). I might stutter or hesitate in my thoughts while talking at one or two points in a half hour interview (not to any huge degree but obviously HR normies are ruthless in their culling of non-normies so I assume that it is instantly fatal for my chances when it happens). I wouldn't say that I come across as mentally ill or crazy, merely nervous at most. And almost every graduate recruitment process in the UK is made up of only competency questions (this is true for public sector all the way to very technical engineering positions).
I want to reiterate that I'm NOT a STEM autist who has never read a fiction book, who has trouble understanding facial expressions etc. I'm simply a guy with no friends or social life at all and who hasn't had either of those for over five years. I have failed over 20 graduate or intern schemes within the past 3 years, most of them with tip top tier companies and positions that even Harvard grads would love (and I went only to my local university you probably haven't heard of). Front office investment banking, etc. I should say that I have passed graduate phone interviews but never face to face ones (so I've never passed an entire process).
Is the graduate recruitment process really so ruthless in culling anyone who isn't a normie?

I don't know what exactly you are doing, but something is giving off a bad vibe. One thing that I've found to be the kiss of death is negativity. right now, its trading at 1/3 book value.
But, even assuming the worst--assuming we are heading into a really bad recession--I just have a hunch it wouldnt play out the same way the 08 crisis did. In 08, the entire government was asleep at the wheel and didnt intervene to save bear and lehman. This time around--and especially because Deutsche is so big--they are going to be extra vigilant, and for the past 8 years, central banks have erred on being too loose with their money.
And right now it is trading below 09 lows, so how much lower could it go outside of a crisis?

Well, I'm in a slightly more scientific major rather than a generic econ/management/accounting major. I didn't want to end up back in academia for the next 5 years doing a Ph.D or something, so I got interested in it due because it's observing companies and markets and making practical analysis and changes.
I think the ability to learn about real world interaction rather than just doing theories and textbook research is more appealing to me. An internship there is also a really strong piece of experience even though most are only 10-12 weeks. I'm doing an internship working inside sales/marketing at a small consulting firm and want to explore to see if it's something I want to do, and possibly get a MBA afterwards.
Y'know, plus the pay is pretty good and you can actually work up a career ladder, which is rare and somewhat admirable in this day and age.

That's a profound answer, and from what I gather your reasons are the following:
- You're more interested in business and practical application rather than academia and theory
- You want it to boost your resume
- You want to see if MC is for you
- You want a decent compensation
- You want to be able to work your way up
Networking your way in may take a substantial amount of time and effort and may likely be for naught because the competition is brutal, even at target schools.
All your goals apart from perhaps the 3rd one can be satisfied with other options that are less demanding and time-consuming. So the question is still why you want to subject yourself to the nightmare that is getting into MC and then surviving it. And I believe you *do* have a deeper reason for doing it apart from those you mentioned. Only you can really tell what it is though.

Making money is literally as simple as pie...it just costs time, and everyone is wasting it with thumbs in their asses cause no one knows what the best way to make the most money is for them.

For example... my personal story.
I really liked bees, cause my grandpa thought me to keep after bees. I did not had a lot of bees maybe just 10 hives, and because of location and so on i did not manage to take a good care or expand...i worked for some years and managed to save money to get a place closer to where i am, i fix the place to be easier to work and moved the hives.
Every other week end i would spend a visit, slowly 10 hives became 15-25-35-53-76-100.
Around 100 i could not manage to work and keep the hives in the same condition as when they were fewer in number, and they started taking more of my time. It was starting to be metaly and physical hard to work on so many hives.
I made a jump, invested in more machines that can save me time and effort, and hired a guy.

By that time i had more problems that just managing the hives, not that much, but small stuff in management came up.

Tried to go back to school to get enough qualifications to start University to maybe get a job that way but it didn't work out, I needed money and couldn't afford anything.
Just need a job, any job, just want to earn money and be happy.
Literally don't know what to do. I've looked all around the internet for ways to make money online, none of the have worked for me.

Is community college out of the question? It's understandable to not be in a 4 year university since it is pretty expensive, even with solid scholarships, but CC is often free if you apply to something like FAFSA if you're poor.
At most, you can get in some retail job and maybe promoted to manager if they don't require a degree (many do require at least a Associates)
