anyone have any experience with this? i'm looking at the payouts for various jobs and the work is so easy it seems too good to be true. Am I going to get scammed? Looking to mostly do small programming and video editing jobs.

>>
Nah it's mostly legit, but it's harder than you'd think.
>>
>>1076919
why do you say that?
>>
>>1076924
Because you'd need to compete with people, build up a name for yourself, etc.

It's less of a scam and more just more difficult than you think.

How exactly do i sell iphones to china?

Unlocked phones are selling for $3000 over there and my friend buys hundreds of them a day and flips em for more than double the price.

ebay?

doesnt want to tell me. he said there is enough competition as there is, yet google searches provide nothing.

he brings like 50 iphone 6 golds to ups a day and they ship em to apple for repair or something then he gets em back and sells them. idk how he gets them thogh

Does /biz/ think a concept such as OB could be the next big step in how commerce is done?

Instead of this being a single product line, it seems like big shift, similar on scale to how filiament bulbs changed into LED's, and generally a good idea

As much as a good idea it was it failed miserably.
They are too expensive, one costs as 15 regular, they break fast because of the electronics inside.
Please dont draw parallels on things you don't understand.

Sometimes, layers are good. You know, security and shit? Nobody today has any complaints about e-commerce. Its the easiest and fastest its ever been.

The biggest problem in e-commerce is shitbag delivery drivers and general delivery systems.

How the fuck do I get a job?

My dad told me I have two weeks to get a job or he's kicking me out. I've put in 10-15 applications online.

I'm desperate as fuck I will shovel shit for 5 dollars an hour.

Would /biz/ trust turbotax for their w2s? I've always paid for them to be done but was thinking about giving it a try
4 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
I've done my taxes with turbotax for over 10 years. Never had a problem.
>>
If you buy and sell stock then Turbotax.

Else use the cheapest version of H&R block when it goes on sale in late march.
>>
>>1079816
can confirm turbotax is solid, easy to use software. i've been using it for about 6 years now. i don't know if any alternatives out there are cheaper, but i know it is cheaper than going to a tax preparation service in person.

So interviewers love to play The Price is Right with wages now.

One of the first questions you can expect will be along the lines of, "What kind of salary are you looking for?" Now, this is obviously a game, much like The Price is Right, where you need to get as close to the salary they have in mind without going over. An overestimation essentially ends the interview. Unfortunately, you can't guess $1 to be safe; too low of a guess with leave you undervaluing yourself and unable to reconcile as the interview process comes along.

Or, you could be applying online, in which case you will be forced to fill in the mandatory entry box regarding wages. TBD, NA, and 0 all happen to be invalid entries. Don't even expect a phone call with an overestimation in this case.

For what purpose has this trend come to be? I can't think of anything other than scaring an applicant into intentionally undervaluing themselves.
9 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
It's for when they have no idea what they're actually interviewing for, and it's the only metric by which they can rightly judge whether they can afford to hire you.
>>
Whoever says a number first loses here.

So you want to say stuff like "well what is the starting salary for [position] at your company?"

Basically go back and forth on them with this and see who cracks first. If you're stubborn they'll gave and likely give you much higher than you expected.
>>
>>1079705

if you have actual valuable skills you should know what they're worth and you can quote an accurate price

I'm currently working with my family at a luxury vehicle repair shop. We've been skimming along now for a couple years and have a recurring problem. The problem is people at a certain time of year just leave their vehicles at our shop so that they don't have to pay us for the job.

I've Already suggested charging a storage fee for these people, but is there another better way of having customers collect their finished jobs?

Make them sign an agreement before they leave their car?
>>

We've already established the storage cost, though we're not enforcing it. And on the invoices that the customer sighs usually has something like that on it.

Why wouldn't I want to see Martin Shkreli arrested and put out of business? Doesn't it help me?

He forces insurance companies to pay a ton for his drugs. In response, insurance companies have to charge higher premiums. I have insurance. His pricing strategy benefits himself, but it harms me because I have to pay more to my insurance company.

So why wouldn't I want to see him get fucked? It's in my financial benefit just like it's in his financial benefit to charge higher prices.

>>
Shkreli simply did what pretty much any /biz/raeli would do given the opportunity. He's the based god of the Internet.
>>
I am not american so I might be wrong but afaik you don't have drug prize regulation policy, I know this does not excuse Shkreli but what he done in a second (rise) is just what could be expected to be done by everyone more slowly but at the end of the day cost you even more.

45% of /biz/ are college and high school students entirely dependant financially on Mom & Dad

40% of /biz/ are penniless NEETs, Russians, Aussies, or other Third-Worlders who like to role-play Wolf of Wall Street.

4.9% of /biz/ are work-class normies with a few thousand dollars in a 401k or IRA and 30 years before anything matters financially

0.1% of /biz/ have professional jobs with meaningful salaries and significant investments, relatively speaking.

6 people on /biz/ are perma-bear faggots who cheer when the markets fall, primarily because they missed the last bull run and have crippling investment anxiety.

So, 6 people got BTFO. Huzzah.

Yet we still have less jobs now than in the year 2000. Plus an additional 25 million or so added to the population.

Not a perma-bear ... just a bear.
