Hear about Bitcoin all the time, but what about Litecoin? I thought I was supposed to be the next big crypto.

Litecoin is in the slow process of dying.

When chinese people finally catch up with the news they will dump the fuck out of it.

Ethereum is the only crypto worth investing in right now.

This. Everyone on /biz/ is buying Ethereum. We're making millions out here because nobody knows about ETH yet.

Is this a scam? my dad sells insurance under this company and recently moved up to "senior marketing director" which is a title you receive when you reach a certain number of recruits and sell a number of insurance policy's, He started doing this part time for "fun money" but Its been really easy for him because he has a background in sales and has been successful at it, finding recruits on craigs list, and they call his wife(business partner) to set up and interview and start interviewing them then bringing them on board. hes been doing this about a year and a half now but just recently has decided to do it full time he is making around 100k-150k right now. (ive seen the bank statements and checks, so its not bullshit)

So what do you think? It seems to me if you know your shit and work hard, selling insurance makes bank.

It's an MLM so 99% of people get scammed and make under minimum wage and maybe a small percentage make anything resembling a real wage.

Your dad's expertise and supposed skill could be earning him way more in other sales jobs.
>>
>>1075967
You are talking out of your ass. Selling insurance is the ultimate sales job. The commission is super high and the job is very simple. The issue with WFG is that the recruits are kept ignorant of the fact that the person recruiting them gets most of the money from the sales they do. If they work with a proper financial company or a brokerage instead they would get to keep a much higher percentage. What his dad is doing is terrific.

How is that not what I said?

So, is the stock market the same as informed betting? Therfore wouldn't it be just as profitable to use the same tactic of: Spread out your finances and hope that most of them don't drop, the same as spreading out your bets, that way you lose on one or 2 but win on 2 or 3.

Welcome to finance. This is called diversification and is extremely important in creating a portfolio. What people do is pick stocks that have low correlation with each other (different sectors, markets, countries) so that if one drops, others wont follow its path
>>
in casino you know the rules and they never change, its a static system where you know the bounds.

the stock market is a chaotic system where the rules change and the bounds are unknown so the same math doesn't apply
>>
>>1075949

This. Think of it as a poker game, with established rules. Only occasionally another poker game on the other side of the world affects the rules of your game. Or armed terrorists storm the game and shoot up the deck. Or some of the cards spontaneously burst into flames. Or...

someone mistakenly sent me 1350$, what to do?

i am poor student from europe and need US bank account to receive the money

>>
Be a good person and call the bank explaining to them there was some kind of mistake.
>>
>>1071921
Send it back.
>>
Talk to your local bank about it

If you really don't know the person, then it was either an accident or some kind of scam being set it.

If it was a mistake, then you are morally obligated to correct it

It could also be drug money and fuck your shit up.

poorfag here. explain to me why i have to pay so much in taxes if I end up getting half of returned back to me anyways?

also, is it a good idea to not take the return and transfer it to next year instead?

A large tax refund means you gave the government an interest free loan because you were too lazy to adjust your withholdings

The mantra of the poor is celebrating their tax retund

Should i invest a million dollors now or after 5 minths in stock market
7 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>1075860
Neither. The way to do it is to invest $25k per month over 48 months. Only a dumbass goes all in.
>>
>>1075877
The math is wrong, but this is otherwise shockingly sane advice -- especially considering the present market conditions.

I'd do it closer to $41.5k over 24 tho.
>>
Op you should invest only 50$ on a lemonade stand and make about 25 a day.

And invest the rest on stocks.

/biz/ maybe you guys can give me some sound advice.

I financed a Harley through their finance company, having a budget that could easily accommodate the payments at the time. For the past year, I have not. I've struggled making payments on it and simply am in a bind financially.

My question is: should I try to get someone to take it off my hands, or should I just let them repo it?

How long will it be until South America and East Europe are developed like the Western world?
4 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>1075794
Considering the brain drain, possibly never. Countries don't develop over time, its men inside them who develop them continuously.
>>
South America: leaning in towards capitalism so around 30-50 years.
East Europe: soon if it doesn't get burned down by rapeugees.

>>1075794
If the West gets its way and imposes austerity then never

Is this company a scam/pyramid scheme?

Has anybody here worked for them?
48 posts and 4 images submitted.
>>
>>1074577
Yes it is.
All "multi-level marketing" businesses are pyramid schemes.

I did for a bit because I talked them into waiving all fees. Its shit and all the people act like a cult. I got them to pay for my certs and moved on to an actual company.
>>
meme

>>1074577
absolute shit. my cousin got sucked in to that. i tried so hard to convince him not to, but he did and dragged his wife into it with him. he embarrassed himself on facebook. tried to get involved in our family members financials. he wasted a few years, friends and family talk shit about him, and hes out about 35k.

the golden question i always asked was if it was so good, why didnt they have advertising like normal and small locations everywhere in strip malls. why did they have to approach people and meet them at starbucks. that was basically proof it was shit and could never get a straight answer to that one.
