So which is best?
I'm inclined to say the second, personally.

To back up my view:
You get to choose one of the three;
>chronic deflation and depressions
>chronic inflation and bubbles
>regulations
Which one sounds worse to you really?
>>
System 1. A saving economy is more virtuous and pure than a consumption economy.

>confirmed for being unable to grow a beard

you're mistaking japanese guilt for preference. I bet they'd say they don't like black guys either. When no one's asking it's a different answer.

Is gold or silver the better buy right now, /biz/antines? I have almost $1000 that I want to invest in one or the other, possibly a couple of pic related. Would be holding on to them for years, not looking to speculate. Which metal is the better buy right now, and why?

>>
I bought 10 oz of silver recently from NWT Mint just because I thought it would be cool to hold an 'investment' in my hands.
>>
>>1071604
Gold has a stable price. Silver may move more. Look up their historic prices and pick whichever. I'd expect both to spike up if they do move suddenly. Keep an eye on oil - if that becomes stable both will move down.

Ethereum in a couple of months.
But might result in much more than 100%.

More normie speaking though:
Art is a pretty good bet. Anything that has sentimental value and easily misjudgeable value. Sports things signed by some homo, stained panties of some slut.

Anything where there isn't a clearly defined market value. The liquidity will be nightmarishly low, but that will mean the market can easily gap 100% on these items.

I am in college and I have midterms coming up I am not prepared for. I am wondering if it's worth paying a teacher assistant or someone to help me do well on the exams? Does or has anybody do this kinda thing?

I sometimes tutor/take classes for people if the classes are online. Rates average about $300 per class. Some I won't take though. Tutoring averages about $15/hr. I have a bachelor's.

So how many hours do you think it would take someone to help me learn enough to do well in a midterm for computer science?
>>
About four hours a week is usually enough to hold their hand and explain everything in a way that they can understand the material better. They would still have to do studying on their own too.

How much money do you have?
If less than $10,000, put it into savings

How many loans do you still need to pay off?
If anything greater than 0, pay those off first

How fast do you want to get rich?
If quick, suck dicks
If slow, buy & hold

>“The only question now is whether Venezuela’s government or economy will completely collapse first,” writes Matt O’Brien in a jaunty overview of this fucked up global fucked-spot. What happened? An incompetent government combined with a huge drop in global oil prices have produced an economy that is shrinking at a breathtaking clip, crumbling infrastructure, a lack of goods for people to buy even if they could afford it, and runaway inflation. (It is worth noting that the government’s top economic official “rejects some basic tenets of conventional economics, for example that printing too much money causes inflation.”) Venezuela’s oil production is falling, and oil prices are falling even faster, leaving the government woefully short on funds.
>They’re set to default on their national debt. Corrupt officials may have embezzled hundreds of billions of dollars. Venezuela is rated one of the most corrupt countries on earth. The nation’s biggest company is begging the government to seek international aid “to avoid the collapse of the food supply.” Unfortunately, most of their neighbors are too pissed off at them to care.
>Venezuela has more oil than any other country on the planet. Venezuela has 298 billion barrels of proven oil reserves. That's more than Saudi Arabia, Russia or Iran and eight times the reserves of the United States. And they just had to import half a million barrels of oil from the United States.
>Also, Caracas is the most dangerous city on earth, and the country is full of the Zika virus.

Seeing that Venezuela is on the brink of collapse, is there a way to invest in the country? Do they have a stock market foreigners can access?

>>
>hundreds of billions of dollars
Just how many officials are we talking about here?
>>
It's all going as planned. You didn't think the US, Exxon and Shell would let Venezuela control its own oil did you? Chavez was good for Venezuela and the US destroyed him. Their goal is to get rid of the last traces of his government and replace him with a puppet. Nothing is as it seems. The powers that be have the means to destroy Venezuela's economy, food prices etc.

No, you wouldn't love to work a career like this. You would love to be a NEET, abd that type of a job allows you to embrace that lifestyle. Take it from me and find a job you enjoy for its own sake. There's plenty of better jobs where you can work from home.

Just How do you know when exactly the price will go up or down when you buy options? Isn't that just gambling prediciting the future that the price of X will fall by 20 points in exactly 2 days time?

If you're smart enough, practice hard enough, have enough money, use a fast enough computer, and want it badly enough, you can always correctly predict the price movement.

If you fail, it's because you're not smart enough, didn't practice hard enough, don't have enough money, didn't use a fast enough computer, and didn't want it badly enough.

There is no luck in gambling. Er, I mean trading..

pretty much. you need to look at it as a game of probabilities. you WILL be wrong many times. you also will be right many times. all you need to do is make sure that the money you make when you're right exceeds the money you lose when you're wrong.

It's that easy!

Is piracy wrong? I pirated the shit out of everything back when I was a teenager, but now I'm making decent money and have enough to easily afford the software/movies I want to watch, yet I still pirate non-stop...

Should I stop? It's very hard paying for something when you can easily get it for free.

>you're a faggot, take a gun and blow your brains out-- absolutely nobody is going to miss you

So last year I started doing an Arabic course because I was interested in the whole Middle Eastern conflict.

After the last exam from that year I stopped, because the Muslims there got a little too crazy for me after Charlie Hebdo, and because the course would only continue this summer and right now I'm studying Mathematics, and I want to be able to focus on my studies.

Because right now I've got the basics down from grammar, speaking and reading, I think I could continue studying it on my own. I might even do a minor in it. Now my question is, would it be worth all the effort?

If you want to be a CIA agent it might help. Otherwise any Arab worth a shit speaks English already.
>>
>>1073714
Depends if you will live in Germany or Sweden, I suppose. All memes aside, Germany is projected to become a 40% Arabic speaking country by 2020
>>
>>1073714
Dubai resident here, work all over the region. Literally everyone doing business with you will speak english at varying degrees of fluency.

Is it important to have? Yes, in that it helps you to understand what people in general are talking about having presumed you don't speak it.

Getting to business-level fluency in Arabic will get you $$$ depending on the field, if you work in GCC, are white and can speak English.

Also Arabs can be very cliquey and snobbish, don't expect to get in with their circles just because you speak Arabic

You can start a limited company with whatever credit rating.

You'll only have difficulty getting a business bank account or a loan.

You'll have to use one of the shitty business accounts from some noname place. But it's doable.

I'm not sure if this is actually business related, but my girlfriend works at a retirement home - and her workplace randomly decided to enforce new rules, which basically say that when someone is sick and has a doctor's note, that isn't an excuse anymore and it counts as an unexcused off day, and 3 of those within 3 months and you can get fired.
Can they just do that?

Nice, nothing says happy healthy retirees than an employment clause that says, "come to work no matter how sick or face the consequences".

8/8 retirement facility. Would recommend.
>>
>forbidding employees to be sick

It's not worth the fight, tell her to find a new job.
>>
Is she expected to use PTO instead of sick leave? Many companies are simply adding PTO and eliminating sick leave because people would pretend to be sick anyway.
