Yen appreciates, stocks crash
Literally tell me who told you to invest in Japan?
The Japanese have decided they will let their country go into a slow burn rather than succumbing to Western voodoo economics and race mixing degeneracy.
I'm a fool. I left a crazy opportunity, I was a host/busser at a very popular place and a few months later became GM. Was naive and took 18/hr "training" wage and burned myself out only to resign a week or so after negotiating my salary (48k+ bonus up to 60k). Took a gig in construction and was getting 14/hr. Now I'm a line cook getting 12/hr. It's ok but I'm going to be fired, surprised I didn't get the axe today. Plus it's a commute and ffs I was such a better manager then some of these people and the FOH staff of course takes in cash on my sweat.
Planning ahead I gotta seek out new pastures. I'm going to community college taking entry level biz courses to transfer to Uni for Finance. Any ideas? I was thinking of trying to find some sales job. (I'm excellent at talking to anybody). However I want to avoid some fucking scam. Is CL the way to search? Perhaps cold calling?
Thanks NEETs.
Pic related. Been thinking about hanging myself, desu.

What country u in senpai?
Peer-2-Peer Lending?
Yea or Nay?
Why or why not?
Nay, on major economic downturns, do you think borrowers will pay back their debts? You will be seeing defaults en masse.

isnt that basically a bank??
you put your money in the bank, they find someone to lend it to
Got any links, articles/videos to teach a newb how the stock market works or how to grow 3inches in 3weeks with just one simple stock.
Please help.

Do you want to invest or do you want to trade? Lots of people say they want to learn investing when really they want to trade stocks.
>>1094251
Well buying and holding stocks is investment. It's a simple way the beginning investor can increase there holdings.
Weird question, I'm very new.
How did Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg stay as the CEO's of their companies without being booted out or people turning on them?
How did they trademark their brand early on and ensure no one stole it?
How do you ensure from the beginning that right until the end you'll be at the top making all the decisions? Anyone have any experience?
>>1094160
Own the majority of shares, I guess.
>>1094165
nope, they just need to own sufficient shares with additional voting rights - they don't need to maintain 51% of actual equity in the companies to maintain complete control

Is a career in politics a good idea, /biz/?
I live in a scandinavian country, I'm a fairly good speaker and I have some ins into a big political party, but I don't know if the rewards are worth it. Or if there even are rewards, aside from the occasional bribe.

What jobs can a Bachelor of Economics get you?

Grad student in economics.
You could also apply to become a retail banker. Where I live they have generalist banker cadetships that accept candidates with bachelor degrees.

>Try to make money buying from pic related and reselling on Amazon for profit
>Found a niche product with a $10 profit margin per unit.
>Buy on alibaba
>Get SLAMMED with hidden "processing fees", cost of shipping is ludicrous.
>My $10 profit margin per unit drops to about $5 per unit.
>List items on Amazon
>Been sitting there for about a month with not a single buyer.
I swear this importing idea absolutely sucks. I'm thinking about throwing my inventory in the dumpster. Fortunately I only bought 20 items and spent $150.
Amazon reselling isn't the way to go.
Buy handmade looking shit and sell it on Etsy.
>>1092194
amazon has an ads feature where you can have your products shown to people you think might be interested in it through keywords.
>>1092194
Reselling on amazon is a joke at any point in the spectrum.
What are the best programming languages/skills to learn for getting a nice job and what are the best ways to learn them on your own?
I've picked up SQL and VBA from doing weiner shit on Access and Excel and it's just now occurring to me that I could learn real languages and go out and make twice as much. How do I do that?
Learn web programming. Start with the basics, HTML, CSS, and JS. Entry level web dev is ~$90K.
>>1090877
>entry level web dev is $90k
LOL where?
That's not even the median salary for software engineers.

ITT: Everything eBay

What are the odds this cunt will open a case?
If they do they'll probably lose it
anyways
>list an OEM GPS unit for $250
>surprisingly popular, get over 100 views in less than a week
>fielding questions left and right
>everyone wants to know my return policy
>let them know that it's sold as is, with only 10 days if they can prove it doesn't work
>one faggot badgering me to lower it by $100
>sell the next day for asking price, no questions asked
Never mind I was already getting offers for $200 and more.
>>1089259
If they start a case, remain calm and state your side of the case. You will absolutely have to state that the buyer did not keep *an open line of communication*, let alone give you the opportunity to make amends. eBay seller protection does exist, but it only works for the level-headed sellers who know how to communicate their case effectively.
What were you selling, by the way? Counterfeits are a huge problem in e-commerce in general. It is, after all, your responsibility to know and disclose the authenticity of your items.
>>1089289
I hate lowball offers and people that don't read the fine details of the listing.
Is there some sort of comprehensive guide to selling on Ebay for a complete newbie? I'm cleaning out my childhood bedroom before I move off to start my first post-college big boy job and I reckon that I've got a few thousand dollars worth of video games alone that I could easily get rid of. Any tips?
Invest in the stock market, they said
th-thanks

Shut up, child. You picked Vanguard because -- for at least a small moment -- you understood that your best results would come from diversified low-cost investing over a multi-decade timeframe, providing you with the best opportunity to grow your wealth over a lifetime.
No one wants to hear you bitch about the short-term performance of your retirement portfolio. Stop being an attention-whore, acknowledge that short-term fluctuations are meaningless to long-term returns, and stay the course.
Or bail out and sit on the sidelines. Lots of morons did exactly that in 2008, and missed the 250% market rise that followed.
Frankly, no one gives a shit what you do.
>>1091668
I know them feels

Look 3 years back at the stocks the shills are telling you to buy. It's a slow curve down. They are pumping you.
>recently got a job offer.

>employer uses third party background checking(sterling. if you are familiar with it)

can i use fake emails etc to halp!! this job is so clutch
I got investigated by sterling and even though I provided exaggerated employment lengths it turned out fine. they might catch you for entirely fake jobs though , depends how through of a check they were paid to do
>>1094202
I hope you get fucked in the ass, desu senpai.

How long did the investigation take?
Hi, I think about starting my own software business. Is it better to start with a service company, like web dev or sell your own product?
What kind of software?
>>1093753
What sort of business?
I can imagine making stuff in your bedroom. The beautiful thing about software is that it's low capital at first. Easier for a startup, right?
Having said that, I don't really know shit about that kinda stuff. Anyone been involved with software startups?
Why do nobody want to skype with me? In my business, its important. But these under 30s, its like they avoid it at all costs. Is it me, or is it just the autist of these millennials?
Because it's weird as fuck.
Why can't you just call?
>>1092998
Even though Gen y and z use Skype and TeamSpeak more than any other generation.
For instance your granddaughter might use Skype to fall asleep with her boytoy/armcandy.
Get with the times grandpa.
