What can I learn to turn it into more money /biz/?
What are some good books to get started on the stock market?
Also I have no idea about interest rates or anything of that sort.
I'm 19 and have never really looked into that.

Throw it into ethereum.
(I'm not gonna be too specific)
Imagine someone has to build an e-comm:
>every product is a "Download"
>the website sells worldwide
>starting budget is €5'000 (or relative amount in other countries)
Where you'll make faster €100'000?

video games or porn???
Imagine I'm from a non-EU country but live in EU. I'm well connected in both, and there's a huge gap in salaries and salary expectation.
I'm thinking of outsourcing IT services, offering competitive prices for projects in my EU country, and creating an army of wagecucks in my high-unemployment non-EU country.
I can compete against Indian Pajeets by having superior quality assurance.
Q: How do I pay my employees/contractors? Via Paypal on a "trust" model? Do I round-trip fly every 6 months with a lot of cash on me? Do I need an admin person and to officially register a firm in my non-EU country? Thoughts on evading taxes?
>>1092660
Nope.but doesn't matter
Why would anyone get a degree in finance when accounting covers everything in finance + more?
>>1092643
Why not both?
>>1092643
I un-ironically have my BS in Finance and work for an accounting/marketing company. They're both great choices anon.

Double-majoring, even in two fields that are so similar, is kind of a pain if you also have a part-time job and extra-curricular activities like the Student Accounting Society and/or generic Greek-letter scholastic societies.
Is it wrong to successfully have a 88% profit margin?

only if you're a communist
>>1092571
is it right to willfully be ignorant on the profit margin of the merchant your doing business with?
>>1092571
Yes it is, as all you're including are the eBay fees.
>mfw just got a $2,000 tax refund
how much did you get /biz/???
Buy Ethereum. Hold for 2 years.
You're welcome.
>>1092554
nah im throwing it into the nasdaq, there are a few companies i'm lookin at.

Serious question, can someone point me to a way to short this trash coin? I wanna profit from its inevitable downfall.
>>1092520
Find someone to lend you eth at todays price with a promise to return the same number of coins at a future date which you presume will have a lower price
Sell the borrowed coins on day 1 and tske the money
>shorting the future of business/banking interface
pumper dumper kiddies are hilarious
Financial decisions based on pure butthurt are always a good idea.
I think you should short ETH op and thanks for the free money you are about to lose to the market.
So I have $50 right now and am In college. I want to open a portfolio and get a stock or two that I know will pay out accounting for trading fees. What's /biz/'s suggested online broker, and what's the most reliable? And what has the lowest trading fees?
OptionsHouse @ 4.04$
or Robinhood (i have never used)
>>1092459
you want to open a portfolio with $50???
it's time to re-evaluate
>>1092459
you're going to pay 10-20% in fees if you try to make a trade with $50.
How valuable is coop experience? I'm probably looking to work in big 4 or big oil when I graduate.
I'm a third year accounting student at a school that doesn't offer coop. I got a summer internship at an oil company in my freshman year. Now I am looking at an 8 month (may to december) offer working in the controller department. This will delay my graduation by one semester.
Is working work delaying my graduation? My parents really hate the idea but I'm going to be getting paid $27 an hour. Since I live in Canada, I'll be able to graduate debt free and have a solid savings.
>>1092448
it's work experience , which is pivotal
>>1092448
That's not really a coop, it's just an extra internship. It's kinda weird that it would be senior year though. I wouldn't do it unless it makes you a significantly stronger candidate for full time.
>>1092456
Whats the difference between this and coop? Other than I dont get credits and the company probably doesnt get as much free money lol
And it's not really in my senior year, its between my junior and senior year. I'm pretty sure it was only open to third year students because of the stuff I'll be doing.
And yes, if I do this placement and want to work full time for the company they take 1 year off their new grad program and I get my full salary one year sooner (basically a higher starting salary)
How can I earn quick money, from simple websites/surveys etc?
I want to pay my bills, that's enough for me as I sustain through uni, please help me /biz?
>non american faggot, so no exclusive websites please.
>>1092368
you have holes don't you?
>>1092368
It's kind of hard to make money on the Internet in a quick time period. Sure if you found good surveys to run on, but you won't make that much.
>>1092371
I am unaware of that term. sorry bruv
Hi /biz/. In the last few weeks I wrote 365 days program. I want to teach people Meditation. I'll sell the program for $0,99/month (for a year). I want to make a 1 year 100% money back if people aren't satisfied.
>Big Problem: I want to send them day by day program for a year by email, and i want to be done in automatic (i don't want to spend every day to send singularly each email).
>How can I do this? (Woocommerce oe Shopify)
>>1092355
i will tell u if u teach me to meditate for free
>>1092380
ok, as soon as i'll open my website i'll send you an email
Fuck, OP. You just gave me a great idea. Thanks.
So . . . Ether isn't really at its peak of stability at the moment. Is there any sort of other investment that I could maybe use that's good right now to wait out until it either crashes into marginal worth or re-stabilizes?
I could just convert it into Bitcoins, but is there a better solution right now?
Don't be so shortsighted. Now is the time to buy up cheap ether. Think of the longterm. There is no competitor to Ethereum and they're about to release Homestead.
There's a whole train load of good news coming. Eth train is only pulling away from the station.
ALL ABOARD!
I'm 22 and have about $12k in a 401k with my job going to school part time.
I might get canned here soon though, but if and when I planned on finishing school. Is it a good idea to cash out? Everywhere I read cashing out a 401k is like rape to some people so I'm unsure if i'm missing something.
I know that you get a 10% penalty and charged income tax which I'm personally fine with. I figure that finishing school would give me more benefit both short and long term. plz gibs advice.
Start looking for another job first maybe? That's your best finacial decision. Then if that doesnt work There's some rules where you can borrow against your 401k for education costs so you don't get crushed on taxes but you do have to pay the loan back (not sure how it works if you get fired)
>>1092370
I've started looking and asking around. I have a few places that I want to try out but haven't yet applied because nothing is set in stone and because I don't want to put another pause in school when I'm so close to finishing.
I'm always waiting in case work does kick up again so that I don't end up paying more taxes on my withdrawal.
>>1092246
Roll it over to an IRA
Does "hard work" really pay off, or is that just a meme perpetuated by the working class?
Of course you need to work hard! Hard work is what separates the lazy from the industrious. But at the same time, "working smart" is just as important.
However, you'll hear lazy people telling you to "work smart". There's a good chance that they are not doing anything to make their work more efficient.
I used to think that, but no. Now when I find myself working hard, I stop and ask myself how I would work smartly.
People can say there is a balance, a logic that everything happens for a reason... But the truth is far less designed. No matter how hard you work, when you die, you die. Some spend their entire life trying to scratch their way to the top, and still die in poverty. While others are born into wealth without ever working at all. It's a cruel and random world. And yet the chaos is all so beautiful.

you do realize that only applies to federal fund rate and not your actual money correct?
So I'm going to be going on deployment March 1st and I have the opportunity to pocket a LOT of cash. My expenses back home will be pretty much nothing except a storage unit. I won't be paying for rent out of my own pocket in the country they are sending me to and I will be getting per diem for food that'll be about like 70-80 bucks or something crazy like that.
I've been a hardcore noob on Robinhood for the past two months. I'm also about to be completely debt free. If you were going to make 6k a month at least for the next 6 months, and the only thing you had to buy for yourself was food, how would you grow that money?
I'd like to learn enough that I could daytrade in the afternoons when i'm off for the day over there because the markets will just be opening up back home over here.
>daytrade
DROPPED
>>1092061
so you have a great opportunity to save a large amount of money and you want advice on how to waste it gambling on day trades
fucking idiot
>>1092066
I want to make use of the fact that I have extra income and that losing some of it won't hurt me.
I should rephrase, I don't want to sit there and daytrade like every single day. I'm more interested in maybe buying and holding stocks for a week or more at a time. The idea of trying to jump in on trades throughout the day sounds really stressful to me. Earlier in January I put about a thousand bucks into stock of Men's Wearhouse and I'm watching that grow right now and don't plan on selling that until it's worth quite a bit more. I'm trying to build wealth, not get rich quick. I just want to ensure that rather than coming back with a flat 36000 for example that that money isn't just sitting there but rather working for me. I already have automatic allottments going to savings accounts and towards maxing my Roth IRA every year.
My point is that I can afford to be riskier in the next few months and I want to make more money.
