I can never seem to bring myself to trade USD for a cryptocurrency, it just seems like an altogether bad deal right now. That said, I would like get more involved and test the waters a bit.
My question is: Are there any reasonable means of earning BTC or ETH directly? I'm not interested in faucets or any of that silliness, I talking more along the lines of major freelance sites like Upwork or Fiverr. I know about xbtfreelancer, but the standards there are currently well below the threshold that would interest me.
OpenBazaar looks extremely promising so far -- if anyone has any insight into that platform and its future, it would be very welcome. As a freelancer, the idea of having a consolidated presence on the internet whereby I can peddle my wares without fees, and bereft of the contrivances of international Jewry and whatnot -- is extremely attractive.

Hey /biz/. How do I go about getting a $20000 loan that I can pay back over the year? I did some stupid shit from 18-24 that dropped my credit score to 609, I only have $20000 in debt, I want to consolidate it all and get it off my back and in the form of a monthly payment. I've tried getting a loan but my credit is so bad that I can't get one apparently.

I don't know what institution would trust you with that kind of loan, and I'm a layman.
I'm assuming such preferential loans are only handed out between friends with lots of money, and even people of that wealth assume that they won't be paid back by anyone asking for $20K.

Do you guys have any ideas where to start study how to do retail for major brands? Likes of Element, Billabong, DC, etc.
In my town, there aren't any shops what would have them on their catalog.
I'm already working on t-shirt prototypes for couple of artists. That's kind of my plan B, if I fuck up with and can't manage to pull up clothes retail.

So there is this thing called I/B/E/S (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Institutional_Brokers'_Estimate_System) where analysts submit their analysis for different forecast periods and then monthly they publish the average and deviation of various measures like EPS.
So the mean EPS from IBES is the typical consensus estimate that is probably being talked about.
The numbers have been widely studied in academia. Both the mean and the standard deviation, as well as, changes and misses. Pretty much everything.

So for like a restaurant they would take the monthly same store sales estimates, plug them in a model and out comes the analyst eps.
Now the I/B/E/S puts that number into another model weighted with other analysts (on the basis of success and newness of knowledge), then out pops the final estimated eps.

What should I do if I have tonnes of free time or want to do a lot of stuff (e.g. learning programming, learning more maths, etc)? Daily schedules that I follow or waiting for inspiration / motivation and giving myself small challenges?
Do schedules work or are they used to shirk actual work? Mike Tyson, Tiger Woods, (so high performance people) had schedules. Even college professors have schedules. They schedule their research (i.e. what they're good at and what they've worked on all their lives) around the many hours of shit like teaching etc.
But I read about bill gates when he was at harvard and he did so many things it was unlikely that he made himself a schedule.
I know the easy option may be the schedule but I feel like it would squeeze the life out of me.

What's a good, solid bank for someone who wants to build credit and have a checking account without any fees or frilly shit?
I had Schwab for a bit, but they don't offer any credit cards. Then I moved to US Bank and hoped to apply for their secured card, but it has an annual fee and I don't like having to maintain a monthly minimum balance to avoid fees.
I'm thinking about moving to Discover, as they have secured/unsecured credit cards and less account fees. Is this a bad move?

I (luckily) just made about $4k selling TVIX, and I was thinking of moving it to my ROTH IRA, which has a 3-fund idiot distrobution. I was wondering if it would be smarter to allocate the money to those funds now, or to wait for whatever tumultuous part the economy is in to be over. (I know it's tumultuous because I made fucking $4k in TVIX)
