I need a loan of £500. My credit rating is through the floor and I don't know anyone who would be a guarantor.

Im always hearing about loan sharks but is that just the kind of thing you hear in movies? How would you find one?

So from what I've read a lot of you commit to daytrading.
I know it can be really lucrative but the sources I'm using to study investing right now do not mention daytrading anywhere.

Can you perhaps share some links with detailed daytrading tutorials?

If it were legalized in canada, pot stocks would skyrocket.
Which pot stock are you guys on?

I am holding a few thousand dollars in Aurora because they are producing and have basically just started up. Legal LP. Most strains of their mj is coming to sale in the next week or two, and they were granted a license to produce hash oil. Their running operation is near Calgary, alberta. They also have some land in washington in some "marijuana neighbourhood" and are starting up. Look up "Aurora australis" to see more.
I'm also holding $ 2,000 in mettrum and I almost stopped flipping "canopygrowth" to go long, but I wanted to look for better growth companies. In hindsight, I have lots of time wait for cgc to drop a little should I feel inclined to buy.
>>
>>1109901
CGC will be the market leader. Highly recommended you go long. Price will jump when Canada releases next legalization news.

The home grower and decriminalization should be encouraged, but of course fascism and crony capitalism will win, and that's all you would be investing in, just pick the Shoppers Drug Marts and what not. Same reason I wouldn't invest in Big Pharma myself, but if you turds want to make a lot of money and have no principles, that's where the money looks to be going, global fascism on all fronts. Pick the largest corps in bed with the largest governments.

/adv/ can't help me because it's nothing but /r9k/-tier issues.

I'm going to be 25 in October and I still haven't gone to college. How can I un-goof myself? I need to find some sort of career path for myself but I don't know what's profitable these days. It seems like everything people tell me is what was actually popular 5 years ago and is now flooded with students.

>Still chases after money like its some game
>Still childish mindset thinks he can live life miserably but its ok cause le money

this is why I hate biz
>>
>>1109732
Why would I pursue a career that isn't profitable?

Work is work, you go there to perform some tasks that require a certain skillset in exchange for money. It isn't deeper than that. It isn't a game, it's a requirement for those who want to live comfortably. For the most part, a huge chunk of people don't wake up every day loving what they do. They got into the position they're at because it was available to them and the salary and/or benefits were appealing.

The only childish mindset would be waiting around denying every opportunity because it isn't my "dream job" or "passion."
>>
>>1109718
there is no "one size fits all". Your job prospects are going to be effected by your location, then your skills. Decide what you want to do and where. Most importantly, you need to make your own decisions

I own a business that specializes in cleaning and restoring sneakers - especially high end Nikes. Business is okay but it's not growing. I have die hard customers but not many new ones.

I sponsor a local artist that has me cover his sneaker costs who suggested I offer to let people bring in their receipts or email me images of their receipts when they buy new Nikes and I pay them a fixed amount for them. For example, I owe anyone who brings in a receipt $20 cash or anyone who emails one $20 over paypal. That would bring people into the shop or at least get me on their radar.

How much do you think I should offer? I want people to make a point of taking me up on it but of course don't want to go broke. How much would be enough that you would drive across town or take the time to scan or take a pic of your receipt for money back? $20? $50?

Express way to bankrupcy OP.
>>
I think it's a bad idea because most people who buy new nikes won't get them cleaned or restored, it's a small niche.
>>
>>1108944
No friggin way OP. You sound like that guy who paid people to recycle.

If you need more business build a webpage and do AdWords so you get customers across the country. Make it really easy for people to send in their shoes for repair: they fill out a request on your site and you send them a box to put their shoes in and drop in the mail, postage paid, 2nd day air.
Then send them a $200 bill or they don't get their shoes back.

Ausbrah here,

I am starting my own business, I will be the only employee and I expect to make in excess of 100k each year.

I obviously want to hold onto as much cash as possible, should I hire an accountant to help me pay as little tax as possible?

My wife is Chinese so theoretically I could set my company up in China, however I am not knowledgeable enough to know if this is even something worth considering.

Please don't give me any of that ''stop avoiding tax faggot'' bullshit, it is clear that the average person gets fucked by tax more than knowledgeable people, I do NOT want to commit tax fraud I JUST want to put myself in a comfy grey area.

How do I find the best accountant to help me with this?

The only way to avoid tax is transfer pricing

Are you the flooring guy? In your situation it would be quite easy

Much more difficult to apply to you then, because you can't really justify sending money overseas.

Basically, the scheme goes like this:

1. Pay yourself as little money as you can live on comfortably in Australia, pay tax on this
2. Set up an offshore company in a tax haven that sells something to your Aus company
3. Price the transactions in such a way that your Australian company barely breaks even after paying your salary, and all the profit is in the offshore company

The downside is you will not be able to bring this money in to Australia without paying tax on it, but you can theoretically use it in other creative ways.

eg, you want a salary of 100k per year

you will sell 100 units per year

A is you supplier
B is your offshore company
C is your Aus comapny

B buys 100 units from A for $1,000
C buys 100 units from B for $101,000
C sells 100 units for $201,000, pays $100,000 in salaries, earns 0 profit

This is how major multinationals do it and is the only way to legally pay no tax

You will need to apply to an online brokerage and that broker will have its own trading platform. Once your application is approved you can fund your account and you can then start buying/selling to your hearts content.

Say I decided to start betting a lot over the next couple years. What would be a better approach, always betting moderate amounts on clear frontrunners, or always betting shall on giant underdogs.?

say you should not look for fast money because you'll get fucked and say you should research strong and stable industries to invest your money.. you should be quite successfull.

if ur having trouble with simple math like that then id recommend just not blowing money for no reason
>>
>>1108584
you bet on odds mismatches it doesnt matter whether they are the overdog or underdog, you bet on whether the odds you get represent reality and if they dont you bet on the side that gives you positive ev

if you dont even understand that you should stay the FUCK away from professional gambling and go back to sucking dick to get your seed amount to grow while you learn what the fuck you are doing
