Explain me to the best of your knowledge on the Brexit /Biz/. I trade Forex and think I could make a good play on the vote.
16 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
Short term economics: unstable, gold will rocket, (?) minor financial crisis

Long term: Better trade agreements, better UK industry, Brexit will be followed by Nexit etc etc, better for the economy

Culturally: UK will have it good compared to today
>>
>>1301381
You're not the only one who thinks they can make money on the Brexit. Odds are, if you don't understand it fully now, then you'll probably be on the losing end of the trade come June 23rd. There's a movie on youtube called Brexit: The Movie which is pretty good if you want to know why the "leave" vote is increasingly popular.
>>
>>1301381

There's no way for the UK to leave the EU.
Even if people will support the Brexit the referendum itself is not legally binding. For Brexit to actually happen it needs to pass the Parliament and the majority of British MPs (about ~70+% of them) are pro-EU.
Literally no one will allow it to happen. American and European political and business elites are against it. Votes will be adjusted, if needed.
Scottish independence referendum failed.
Catalonian independence referendum failed.
Brexit will fail.
Don't be delusional.

Anyone have experience working from home?

I don't want to leave the house and have to deal with people in real life or work too hard.

What are the ideal jobs for this? And how did you obtain them?

I run some shitty web app that just about makes me a living.

>I don't want to ... have to deal with people in real life
I always say to people who give that reason - is it due to social anxiety? Better make sure you are genuinely content with zero contact with others or have an active social life beyond work. For me, having so little reason to leave the house has made my social anxiety far worse and pretty depressed.

First year or so was great. Then it went downhill as I become more isolated, depressed, lost my desire to work.
>>
>>1300594
I could care less. The only people I care about in life are my family and my wife whom I'm not anxious around.

Details on the web app you run? Did it require training?

So say you make a few thousand bitcoins and have an equivalent million or so in your hands...how do you cash out?

Buying bitcoins is pretty easy but how do you convert back to fiat without getting scammed?

Also what's the best way to cash out of one of your alts at the peak? How does that work, if you sell at a certain price does it give you what you're after regardless or do you lose some as it drops? Is it worth doing those in small lots or multiple exchanges or what?

So yesterday I was talking with my brother who is currently studying to go work at the New York stock exchange and he told me that there might be a big financial crisis coming caused by the one in 2008. He said that if it happens, the USD would devaluate a lot and that the smartest thing to do right now is to take all my savings in USD and exchange them for Swiss Francs of Bitcoin. Should I listen to him? And what are the chances of a large financial crisis to start soon.

we all know that another crash is coming in the next few years, but honestly the US Dollar will be just fine. Invest in Bitcoins if you want I guess, just keep a diversified portfolio in case things go down hill fast

be prepared to buy when things are cheap also

Can I even get into this industry with a BS in Geology? Im trying to leverage my experience in ArcGIS (geospatial data analysis, feature creation, using SQL, database population and management), and I used Matlab in a couple labs in a couple of classes, and a Java class. Also teaching myself advanced excel functions, reading up on SQL, and got myself university edition of Tableau to make pretty (((((viz)))))

Could I become a data analyst of sorts if I don't sperg out on the interview? Would you hire me /biz/?

>>
id hire you if you had your HAZWOPER cert. 40h only, none of that bullshit 32/24 hr
>>
well forget about excel if you want to be a data analyst.

Learn R instead. Free, open source, you can write your own functions etc. and people update new packages to it all the time.
Also Stata and SPSS should be on your resumee. At least that's how it is in the survey/social/economic data field.

Yeah, I was hoping (when I first started researching environmental-industry jobs) that my first job would pay for that training. It seems know that forking over the money and getting it myself is probably the way to go for that extra edge. What do you do anon?
