I am studying a bachelor of computer science. I want to know what I should do while I am still in university so that I can increase my employability once I graduate.
Should I do side projects? Get involved student groups (like what)? Should I pursue certificates in Linux administration? Learn languages on the side? Do free-lancing work? Pick up a second language (other than English)?
Also what should I pursue a post-graduate degree in? Finance (Quantitative), Software Engineering, etc.
Suck dicks.
I'm probably not the best to ask but I'm going to be a senior in CS this fall. I'm mostly average but I find math/cs topics that interest me on the side and pursue the shit out of them. Haven't had the best internship experience but I seem well above most kids who wander around in CS and have no clue. Just always be learning anon. You have no reason not to.
In essence its somewhat similar to high school. Since apparently everyone is getting a degree you want to differentiate yourself with clubs and projects/internship.
Experience is another factor, so a resume filled with projects/internships and leadership skills should raise eyes.
And also networking. Going to events (sponsored by companies like Google or Intel or what not since you are a cs.
You seem to have the right idea, The only way you will find out the 'which' is by trying stuff out and honing your skills.
Im bashing myself in the head right now over not buying it at 10$ when I was about to pull the trigger but I pussied out at the last moment
Anyway, is buying ETH at the current market price still smart or is a dip incoming?

How far do you live from your workplace?
How long does it take for you to get to work?
What type of transport do you use?
Starting a new job in a month on the other side of the country, looking for new rooms and found something half an hour with public transport.
>>1302134
30 min to 2 hours by car, depending on traffic
>>1302134
I walk 10 minutes to work.
>>1302134
1 km, like 3 min by bike. Amsterdam.
Ideally it would be a little more, so i have time to transition a bit better between work-mode and chillathome-mode.
Has anyone here got in to, even tangentially, the animation or film industry?
>Did accounting

T-thanks senpai
>not like i'll ever get one if I do animation so w/e
I used to be like you OP except I thought about pursuing graphic design and working in the commercial design industry. but then I decided against pursuing "art" and chose a safe MIS major to pursue after 2 years of comm college.
My reasoning being that there is lacks dignity to selling your labor as a artist. >>1302089 seems to think accounting is like being a cuck but artists regularly get fucked over and can't do anything to uplift themselves from their situation.
>studios and firms demand you to have gotten a bachelor's in a design major. you're forced to pony up 80k or more just to not have your resume thrown out.
>if you want to access the more elite sought after places of employment like NY graphic design firms or animation studios then you need to trap yourself in debt slavery to go to a school like SVA or CalArts.
>Paying off debt is hard when in competition with everyone over the globe who has access to the internet. you may have been best in your class, but take a look on Behance and note that talent comes from all countries.
>constantly needing art supplies whether software, paints, 3d media stuff is another ass fucking cause that shit is expensive and i've seen my friends be forced to chose art supplies to finish their homework over food.
>everyone is trying to undercut your labor and use you only temporarily. nobody else in the corporate world respects artists and designers
>most of your classmates are not serious about pursuing their craft as a life long thing. most will be korean girls who get their degree, do one internship and then get married off and become housewives.
I actually became interested in business and economics because I didn't want to get fucked in the job market. knowledge is power. and the 23 year olds who stay naive and optimistic in the world will be in for a surprise when they realize it's a buyer's market for artistic labor and society doesn't respect or dignify their labor.
What's /biz/ plan for Monday? I expect gold and volatility to bump and the markets to lose 1-2% on fears of a Brexit. The Fed will not raise rates this month.

If there's one thing advertised was true about TheDAO, it's indeed very unique coin. In fact, it's so unique, it's the only coin that asks investors to invest the coins they invested to fix its problems with the solutions that were came up with among investors themselves. Topkek.

Ausfag here, both Canada and us were forced out of many trade deals with Britain, A lot is due to pressure from European agriculture (among other industries). Just find the trade deals that were cut and if its reasonable to assume they're still the most competitive, its probably a smart investment.

So with all the hashocean shilling going on lately I thought you guys might be interested in a legitimate cloudmining site. You won't make your money back as fast with genesis-mining as with hashocean but at least it isn't a scam. You can get 3% off all packages using my code: eOAYay
For those of you interested in hashocean, the better option, here you go: https://hashocean.com/?rid=629017

They invest your unsettled funds after a trade.
It's also pretty basic software.
> When is it coming to my country?
Probably never. They only have plans on an Australian beta ( https://robinhood.com/au/).
> It's been X days, why isn't my account isn't verified yet?
If it takes more than 3 days, try emailing their support. They are very good.
> Is this the right place to pump and dump and/or shill a worthless stock?
No, please go to Stocktwits, Plebbit, or one of our many chat groups.
> What's a good penny stock to invest in?
Don't buy penny stocks you cum guzzling mouth breathing retard.
> I hit sell when the stock was X.XX, but it actually sold at a lower price, am I being jewed?
No, that would actually be illegal. Robinhood graphs are just shit and only show you an average, not-really-realtime price. To get Bid/Ask prices and important things like candlestick graphs, you should use a more robust platform.
> Where can I get better charting or bid/ask?
thinkorswim is bretty gud if you want to go open a second account with real broker.
Otherwise you should be using Yahoo/Google finance or even Stocktwits for your graphing in addition to Robinhood.

CERU my nigga
>>1301200
From 3 threads ago.
Alright guys, here's the second coming of CERU.
This will probably be copy pasta like the first.
So here's what we know.
First Ceru is presenting on the 14th of June at 2.40pm. They will give us data on the phase 2 trials of CRLX 101, CERU's main drug
This will give us insight as to what will happen on the 30th.
As we can see, in 55% of patients we have PROGRESSION FREE SURVIVAL AFTER 4 MONTHS
and in 23% of patients we have partial responses.
That's a 78% response rate with MINOR AS FUCK side effects.
The 30th is the big one. Probably the second most important news we'll hear up until FDA approval besides the phase 3 trials.
Here we can see that on or before June 30th this year they will reveal their Phase 2 CRLX101 data and Phase I CRLX301 data. Giving us complete insight into the company
Also, they mention that their peak value of CRLX101 and 301 combined comes to a combined market cap of around 2.15billion dollars, mentioned here.
>We forecast peak sales of $490m for CRLX-101 with Avastin in mRCC ($340m and $770m in follow-on indications of ovarian and rectal cancers respectively) and $550m for CRLX301.
That company is currently arround 66million.
That means the difference is shares is over 3457% per share.
>3457% increase.
Pic related was trial 1 results
Can't wait for phase 2 results
