Hi guys so I have a teespring campaign and have gotten over 50 clicks in 24 hours with fb adds but no orders?
Anyone have advice on what I could be doing wrong. If 50 people clicked through they must like the design yes?
13 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
Additional info the add has been narrowed to 200k people.
Cost per click .37c aud
>>
>>1603882
firstly... you do realise the average conversion rate is 2.35%

This is greatly reduced in terms of tshirt sales as it is a greatly saturated market
>>
>>1603882
How many people have seen the ad?

And I wouldn't take that as a guarantee that people like the design. Supposedly facebook has bots to make them ad money (or other ad people trying to waste your money, who knows). People could have also clicked by mistake.

Economically, is Trump more left-wing or right-wing? He proposes trade barriers after all.

He's a populist. He even hired a dude to just scan conservative news media for 4 years to see which issues republican voters cared about most.

He's just saying whatever will get him elected. But, regardless, his positions are more center-right than anything.

So I got this friend, yes legit a friend, not talking about myself:

> 32
> Was a needle user from 19 - 22
> fucked up life, dealt with it via drugs
> at 25 went to rehab and completely turned his life around
> hard worker, nice guy, will tell anyone that asks that he used to be an addict
> Back in his needle days he caught HIV

So now he is living a clean healthy life but has to use some medicine to control the HIV. He works out and eats right, etc.

> He went for a job interview for a high managerial position at a non-profit
> Goes through 3 rounds interviews
> They offer him job, discuss numbers
> Completes background check as well
> He decides he should just be honest and tell them he has HIV
> So he called to tell them he is HIV positive
> 2 hours later they called him and said, "sorry this isn't gonna work out, offer rescinded"

He can sue right? I told him to speak with an employment lawyer immediately. But he is one of those recovered addicts who is all "peace, love everyone, forgive everyone".

That business broke the law and should pay right?

What possible indication does one have to reveal their medical history to an employer?
Literally what the fuck.
>>
>>1603561

I agree, but he has that rehab mentality of "be honest with people and tell them about your life"

Yeah IDK, guess he just thought it would be better to be upfront about it.
>>
>>1603559
Yes . Unless he has a job where being HIV positive is a problem for his work this is textbook discrimination and he should definitely sue

In order to pay bills and rent I need to make $400 per week.

Thinking about leaving my full-time job for a paid internship that I really need.

Probably is, the internship would only give me like $200 a week at most.

I'm trying to think of a way to generate secondary income to make up the other $200.

I'd really like to avoid as much as possible getting a weekend job doing fast food shit or anything related to minimum wage high-stress work.

Trying to brain-storm, the only idea I can think of is affiliate marketing, but it looks like that would be too hard to generate enough traffic, and the income would be unstable at best, if I made ANY profit from that to begin with.

Anyone got any good ideas?

Also, passive income story-share thread, I guess

I'll probably get assblasted by butthurt believers of the Von Moses Institute in just a minute, but I'll bite:

1. Its called fiat money for a reason. The government can easily wipe out its debt with the help of the Central Bank if it wanted to because it controls its own currency.
2. No, Inflation won't rise because of (1) unless the economy is fundamentally strong and is at full employment. But if you're overexposed to too much foreign direct investment (like the cucks in the UK are) then inflation will rise like motherfucker due to your currency getting triple anal gangbanged if foreign investors sniff any word of a potential default
3. Lets say you're lucky enough to actually force a default to reduce the US national debt that badly (for god knows what reason why other than insanity) then you must be prepared to kill several million boomers and savers because you will destroy their retirement pensions, stock portfolios, savings for a subscription to Bangbros and whatever faith they had left in the government
4. /pol/ wins

They invest your unsettled funds after a trade. It's also pretty basic shit.
> When is it coming to my country?
Never. They only have "plans" on an Australian beta.
> It's been X days, why isn't my account verified yet?
If it takes more than 3 days, try emailing their support. They are very good.
> Is this the place to pump and dump and/or shill a worthless stock?
Yes
> I hit sell when the stock was X.XX, but it actually sold at a lower price, am I being jewed?
No, that would actually be illegal. Robinhood graphs are just shit and only show you an average, not-really-realtime price. To get Bid/Ask prices and important things like candlestick graphs, you should use a more robust platform. -- (also learn difference between LIMIT and MARKET orders!!!)
> Where can I get better charting or bid/ask?
thinkorswim is bretty gud if you want to go open a second account with real broker.
Otherwise you should be using stockcharts.com, finviz, or Yahoo/Google finance [yahoo is actually shit now] for your graphing in addition to Robinhood.

I still don't understand some things about taxable brokerage accounts

If I were to hold money in say a total market mutual fund, wouldn't I be able to withdraw my principal investment without triggering capital gains tax? If it was all held in one lot couldn't I just sell the equivalent amount of the investment and not have any taxable income?

Also, I get indexing in tax advantaged accounts, where it's the perfect place to hold low cost funds that grow over three decades both because that's where indexing is most effective and because you can't touch the money anyway, but Bogleheads and others just seem to use taxable accounts as yet another way to hold even more funds until retirement, as if living off of maxed out 401k's + IRA's + Social Security isn't enough when you're too old to wipe your own ass.
For this reason I'm considering speaking with a financial advisor on my strategy in taxable accounts or to even determine what my own goals are because honestly I don't really see the point. Would that be worth it? It'd be a one time consultation.

I'm not sure what you're asking but there's no "principle investment" in a security to withdraw, as opposed to the "gain investment". If you buy twos shares of XYZ company for $100 each ($200 total) and a year later the price goes up to $108 you still only have two shares of XYZ. If you sell one you get $108 and $8 of that is taxable capital gains.

The same thing goes for mutual funds. You may just throw a chunk of money at it but that chunk buys some number of shares. If you sell some shares later, then you subtract the buy price from the sale price and that's your taxable capital gains.
>>
>>1602474
Every time you sell a security you are going to get income calculated based on your basis ( cost to you of the security) and the current sale price, so that you are taxed on every portion. You can't just take your principal and let the gains ride.
>>
>>1602487
Then how come you can take out your principal from a ROTH account?
They're both post-tax money.

Also, since mutual funds allow for the exchange of fractional shares, wouldn't it just not matter about the cost basis of the shares? You could just sell off a smaller amount.

Alright /biz/, I am going to tell you a story about alternative investments. This year, I decided to start scalping tickets. I had some money laying around and the market was going sideways.

Over the course of this year, I researched shows coming into my city (Chicago) and based on popularity, venue size and relative hype across things like twitter and facebook, I bought tickets with the intention to resell on Stubhub.

I made some big mistakes: Like buying big shows in corner seats (Adam Sandler and Sarah Silverman), Venues that are too large to ever sell out (Gwen Stefani), and making plays on cities I don't know anything about (The Cure in New Orleans and Twin Cities).

But, when all was said and done, I made 45 trades this year, and had a RoC of 6%, which is better than the market.

Feel free to ask me anything, all of my sales are on this Google doc. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1fpBjAsJfYrfpVA3m498KQP74nAZ5CQDGrCEoqcOPF1Q/edit?usp=sharing

Neat, couple questions.
Does StubHub take a percentage of each sale?
How far in advance did you buy the tickets usually?
Did you buy them off of StubHub?
>>
>>1602477
Stubhub takes 10%. You'll see in that in my spreadsheet I have a stubhub breakeven number so I can make sure I don't sell too low and lose money.

I tried to buy tickets on presale so I could capitalize on the hype immediately. For instance - I bought Sigur Ros on the presale 4 months in advance.

I don't buy off stubhub because it is very hard to breakeven on that markup. In this whole process I met a guy who does algorithmic scalping where he'll buy in super small arbitrages by tracking ticket sales sites, mostly in sports.

But my purchases have always been through the box office.
>>
>>1602463

have you tried to sell anywhere other than stubhub?

do you think you get better prices if you sell in groups of 2, 3 or 4?

timing? how long before do you put them up for sale?
