>Trump personally guaranteed $40 million to secure a $640 million loan for Trump International Hotel and Tower in Chicago. When Deutsche Bank tried to collect it, Trump sued the bank for harming the project and his reputation,[673] and the bank then agreed to extend the loan term by five years.[674]

Political analysts are looking at Trump through the prism of traditional, estabilshment politics

What if the man actually goes through what he said about renegociating trade deals with China and taxing american companies that outsource manufacturing when they bring back goods in the USA

No bank in the US will lend to him, and the foreign banks that do business with him charge anything from 8-23% APR's.

he has fucked himself and his businesses repeatedly by not paying loans and vendors. You have a better credit rating than he does.

why would we want that?

tldr;
Running a web dev biz, wanting to focus on my own projects full time instead of client work and still make good income.

Currently I'm running a "web development business" where I help businesses save time and make money using the web and it's working fine making enough income to get by...

But I'd like to be sustaining myself from my own web applications / sites instead of building them for other businesses.

For example - does someone make a decent living from a tool like this that offer pro / paid services in addition to free scans?
http://www.dnsstuff.com/

Or porting other lookup / networking tools to the a web interface...

Or website monitoring tools, Moz tools, and now "Pro Google Analytics" etc etc.

I've built a few web apps in various langauges, dealt with APIs, payment gateways, databases etc etc. and learned building it is not the hard part, it's finding customers..

So every other thread on here seems to say to make money online:

Trade stocks
- Tried Robinhood - turned $25 into $1.30 - waiting it out...

Do affiliate marketing
- Had minor successes with affiliate marketing making maybe around $50 over the years with a couple simple blogs and having links to affiliate products / a generic shop page with a bunch of external products.

Trade bit coins or build a bitcoin trading site
- Haven't tried this yet but it could be a fun project...

Build a web app / solve a problem businesses pay for:
I've done a few web apps but finding customers is a challenge.

I have a short ebook I'd like to publish / sell on one of my blogs..

Make a better fart app

Sell drugs

Buy knee pads

Keep doing client work...

Discover new secret way to make income

Now what?

Not OP, but also have the same questions/desires...

Even if you don't have any good answers to post, additional examples of stuff that doesn't work (makes a loss) or doesn't work well enough (only about break-even) can be useful, to tell us what to avoid (or what might be worth looking into if some improvement can be added to the original idea).

Example of something that doesn't really work : MMO gold-farming bots. Can run roughly break-even, but regular banning and untrustworthy customers make it too much of a hassle.

I was a contracted programmer hired gun type, for big and small companies.
On the side I did abunch of shit, read a lot.

Ended up with 100 Amazon affiliate sites I made. Was getting $10k a month from it. Doing good domains, only targeted niches. SEO, was really easy with the domains. Just stacked money using amazon API to make my site look like real shopping sites but the checkout took them to Amazon, and all the products they added on my site were in their Amazon carts.

After a few years, get a Dear John letter from Amazon. Basically shutting me down for making too much and using too much API requests. Meh whatever.

Built a couple of cool sites/projects and sold them off easily.

Now contracted again but working on a free automated stock investment platform. Launch in a week, I'm getting 10% a day, should be a big hit.

Keep on going man, if you are good you will make something. But if you has specific questions, I'll try to answer. I have been in your boat.

Is conservative talk radio a dying meme? Even then, Hannity has the highest ratings of any nightly news program on his Fox show. Is conservative media in general a get rich quick scam?

I'm a freshman econ major in the Northeast. I listen to Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh's podcasts daily if I can and I'll sometimes watch Fox but only discreetly so normies don't think I'm weird. I'm curious if I can make some cash in this business and what it'd take.

There are only so many Conservative media people that make good money in the US, maybe a dozen? But if that is your passion, go for it.
>>
>>1600798
the audience is literally dying of old age
>>
>>1600818
Why does Hannity have the highest ratings then? I can understand talk radio, but seriously why would he and O'Reilly be getting so much viewership if it weren't for there being a large group of viewers.

It may be my own personal bias holding me back, but i refuse to look at Fox News and the Republican Party and say "muh old white men"

Is 23-24 too old to start a degree in finance?

I dropped out with 3/4 of an engineering degree because I hated it. After working shit jobs and going nowhere for 2 years, I want to go back and get a degree in something I will enjoy.

Probably 1-2 years in community college, then transfer somewhere with a 4.0.

Ill graduate at 27 or 28, i guess that will harm my potential earnings, but idc.

There are 80 year olds who run marathons.
>>
>>1598596
That's exactly what happened to me. Except the head of the business school took nearly all of my business credits and fit them to a business management degree. It took me an additional 3 semesters.

By the time I was done, most of my friends from engineering courses had quit engineering and got into management. A lot of engineers do move onto management after 5 years in the industry. Just remember to communicate you have stronger math and analytical skills than a traditional business student because that is your trump card over your competition.

Make sure to bust your ass in your finance/accounting classes and if your track allows you to take stats courses. Your beginning salary will be lower but your salary ceiling will be much higher.

What do you do when you clog the toilet? I work in an office with only about 20 people working in it and I once had a big shit. I absolutely panicked and left the shit in the toilet but people noticed that there was an unflushed poop clogging the toilet and were talking about it.

My question is, how does one approach this situation? How can I move forward?

In college right now, I'm a double major in economics and business.

Does it seem like I'm on the right track? What should I be looking out for and doing now?

I've done

>a maintenance job

>Worked at a winery and lead in sales

>Set up and coordination with conferences, events, and concerts. I work alongside artists, important, and high profile people

>Barista and various restaurant jobs for fun

>Volunteer experience managing a blood drive and coaching several youth basketball camps

>Marketing team for college and working with budgeting

Do I have a good start? I don't even fully know what it is I want to do yet. I'm good with people. I've made connections in the music industry so maybe I'll go down that pathway, I'm not sure. Any advice? What do you wish you knew going into the world?

Sometimes I feel like I'm not even learning anything at college, and I've considered just dropping and going into software sales and working my way up. I appreciate your guys's help.

get an intern. Submit applications for everything.

I used to work restaurants to get laid- waitresses.

I always got promoted to management, which is great free training in running a biz.

owning is where it's at though. If I met my younger self I'd advise to go into either some construction specialty or building maintenance services. Not that it pays well, but its easy to get enough work to hire other people. Especially if you're smart enough to run a business.
>>
>>1603208
Internships are a good idea, that's the next step I was thinking.
