With Samsung literally melting down with two huge recalls in the last month, what company, besides Apple, is going to take more of the electronics market share?
Ooorr, will Samsung recover from this, and is now the time to buy their stock at a discount?
>>1601713
I'm speculating they will recover but it's gonna take some time at least a year
Maybe they can rebrand into a supplier for terrorists, they are experts at hurting people and explosions.
>>1601713
They'll recover. They are a massively diversified company -- unlike Apple who make like 80% of their revenue from phones. Not that they will be disrupted anytime soon, but you get what I mean.
Let's see how savvy that /biz/ is about the hiring process.
How do you get your resume past the automated screener?
What tricks do you use to get a call from the hiring manager?
How do you list and explain any employment gaps?
>>1601667
Just be yourself
>>1601667
I jerk off on my resume so it can't be read properly before submitting it and my semen has superpowers which make the screener greenlight it. The hiring manager then picks up my resume and my semen enters his mouth on it's own and implants the idea to hire me. I have no employment gaps and am the most responsible worker.

What are practical downsides of taking out a loan or credit card in someone else's name?
Is this a good idea to make some spare cash?
You mean besides it being illegal?

Well the downsides are that you could be arrested and put in jail

you can simply just buy when it goes down or hold when it doesn't

How can you short a memay?
I'm writing a novel, and I'm doing some research for an upper class character.
He's supposed to be as upper class as a person can get without being in the public eye, so he's not royalty, not from a political dynasty, not from an industrial or commercial family, etc.
What sort of economic and social background do people like that have? How would you describe their lives in material terms?
>>1601224
diplomat?
>>1601224
when is the story set?
>not royalty, not from a political dynasty, not from an industrial or commercial family
that pretty much leaves only the clergy (which is equally public).
i don't know what you want. he shouldn't come from an upper class family, he should not be in the public eye, but somehow be upper class himself? most self-made millionaires are pretty public figures, and traditionally the label "upper class" is given to a lavish public lifestyle and political influence. sitting at home in your basement hardly screams "upper class".

I have been thinking about getting into the 7-11 business, but I don't want to live at the store for 12 hours a day.
I was considering going to india, or one of the more civilized arab countries like Iran and buying a wife who can cook, clean, and trust with a cash register, and of course fairly hot enough to play with.
What countries can I flat out lay this out as a life long service contract, and not beat the girl, but not feel bad, because I would be a providing her a husband, and much better life in a non piss poor country.

i guess youre the kind of person who doesnt notice even if an opportunity hits you in the head. This is why you will forever have zero investment ideas. Go stick to your bonds and term deposits
If, I say IF, you were a starving artist and resolved to change that.
What would you do /biz/?
Go to college and study Finance? What about Business Administration?
What if you're actually a good artist have some appeal in markets but just don't have the reputation to command big price tags: is there any way you could parlay that into something.
I don't want to be like one of those Antique Appraisers on Antiques Roadshow (all of then are Fine Arts majors apparently) though.
Would you just accept that you studied a meme, and chalk it up to the folly of youth, or would you try and monetize it?

Thoughts on running a subscription box?
>>1600792
Saturated as fuck, makeup is dominated by birchbox and ipsy, lootcrate is losing customers, geekgear and other lootcrate Carbon copies are losing money.
You will fail, you are most likely to anyway.
What do you have in mind though, I was thinking of integrating a subscription service with an app so the customer can track progress on whatever they are getting, like a healthy snack box or some pseudoscience bullshit like that.
>>1600792
I laugh at all the people that buy that shit. You literally have to be a retard. There are a decent number of retards on the internet so you might be able to make some easy money.
>>1601011
alright, the "subscription" part of the model might be saturated, but what about the the "box" part?
the idea of compiling goods into a box for a discount? just to throw some numbers, let's say you are able to offer $20 *worth* of goods (but in reality, that unit of goods only cost you $10 to purchase because you bought it bulk) and take said goods and put it in a box, then you sell the box for $15 (for simplicity, let's say shipping is included in that).
make sense? from the customers pov the incentive to purchase the box is that you receive a discounted price, rather than if you were to buy each product offered in the box individually.\
>>1601026
>There are a decent number of retards on the internet so you might be able to make some easy money.
trust me, there are tons of retards in the internet lol.
is it actually possible to make a living as a day trader with limited start up funds?
my brother has this idea that hes going to learn how to do it then go live in some shitty third world country on the cheap and save tons of money. is that even possible? why would non residents be allowed to play/influence our economy?
>>1600779
your brother is a fucking idiot who's going to lose all his money to wall street jews and die of a mosquito borne illness in some pajeet shithole

Who else is playing oil before the OPEC meeting in November?
I'll be buying DWTI, 25% of my portfolio
I'm pretty heavy into Imperial Oil right now. I am not sure this is really a safe bet though, given how alot of key OPEC states and associate states (ie Russia) want an exemption from the production cut. Also, Iraq outright saying they won't agree to it is concerning.
>>1600729
I remember when the Saudis said they seeked to divest their economy from oil. Now they're in a deficit that is apparently 15% of their GDP. I don't know the likely scenario for an oil rally at each output decrease they could announce. I know there's a critical percentage increase of crude for each output decrease (such that below this percentage increase, the Saudis would not get rid of the deficit). I haven't seen that analysis though. SA said that Iran and two other countries will be exempt from cuts, which is bearish. Also the chief of ARAMCO said that as supply meets demand, oil will rally within 2017. But as of now, the overall mood is bearish, so I'm going to ride DWTI at least until before the meeting. They could very well meet in November, and not come to a conclusion. I actually think that this will happen. Why Imperial Oil anyway?
