Is it now confirmed that an economics degree is the toppest of top tier?
Its one of the TOPPEST meme degrees out there faggot
>>1609030
yes
It was a Finance BBA. Leave your shit-tier liberal arts "Economics" degree in the trash.
What type of healthcare market can the American consumer expect now that Trump has won and Obamacare is soon to be history?
Are insurance premiums finally going to plummet?
>>1609005
Well insurance companies will be able to cross all state borders right? I guess that would increase competitiveness and bring prices down
>Are insurance premiums finally going to plummet?
No, because like every other American company, they'll refuse to take a cut in revenue, even if their expenditure is far lower than it was before.
>>1609005
rates will continue to rise as we go back to what we did before- not paying.
I really want a cuck entry level tier job but...
HOW THE FUCK AM I SUPPOSED TO FILL ANY SPACE ON A RESUME I HAND IN
WHAT ARE MY SKILLS, FUCKING NOTHING
WHERE IS MY EXPERIENCE , FUCKING NON-EXISTENT
>>1608983
If you're like 18, nobody cares that you don't have xp

I know that feel. My plan was to get a computer engineering degree, but I failed the first semester after I transferred from a community college. Now, I requested a change of major to accounting and hope that this works. If it does, I plan on doing internships. tfw have to build my credit to get jobs now.
How do i stop being a NEET and replace my stupid thoughts with normal ones and get the energy to start going to work?
start doing normal things, and less of the weird shit.
your mind will auto correct to what your environment is, ill tell you this much its not easy.
>>1608936
Start building good habits and do them repeatedly so that they become second-nature.
For example:
>Wake up in the morning, go to sleep at night
>Eat a well balanced diet getting enough micro and macronutrients
>Exercise regularly
>Read books/train your brain
>Stop doing instant-gratification shit like videogames or 4chan or watching dumb youtube videos - those are a recipe for "adhd" where you just need constant stimulation so you jump from thing to thing when in real life shit doesn't work that way
>>1608936
Go out in the sun for 30 minutes every day and do some exercise. Take a walk, jog, something else. It'll be very hard at first, but slowly get easier. It's a great way to normalize yourself. Light deprivation has been linked to depression, and I'm sure most if not all NEETs don't get any sun.
I want to buy some stocks and shares but am a complete newb.
How do I do this in the most simplest and cost-effective way possible?
Robinhood general. Look in the catalog. It's free but only works in US
If you're a complete newb can you tell us what your goal is first? Do you want to get into trading and do it actively? Or are you more into the long term investing side?
>>1608938
I plan to buy some shares from companies like NVIDIA, then sell them when they rise.
I've been in college the past 3 years, and if I go on any longer I'm going to end it. With the overwhelming decision that I went into a bachelors degree program for only the money and to make my parents happy, I've decided this isn't what I've wanted to do with my life.
I have decided that I would much rather become a carpenter. How do I go about this, and what is some general advice that anyone has for a 23 year old trying to enter a trade?
Thanks in advance, pic unrelated
>>1608906
Country?
>>1608906
Trades here, I work with race cars.
Be friends with people, they wanna see you succeed. You've probably got an uncle whos brother is in plumbing, ask to tag along on one of his trips, look curious.
>>1608948
Talk with their bosses, chances are they're just regular guys who drink beer on weekends especially if it's a trades job. Friend them up and stay in touch. No one ever hires "that wiz-kid that popped out of nowhere" when their highschool friend is looking to get out of being a store clerk
>I want to live like a rockstar
>Smoke lots of weed and do mountains of cocaine
>Fuck fake tits models
>Drive a Bugatti and a Ferrari
>Have my own private jet fleet
>Travel the fucking world
>Invest in succes IPOs
>Have my own corporation
>Fuck some more bitches
>Die happy before I become an old sack of shit
I just want to live a quiet life without having to be a wagecuck any more
>>1608810
If you want to self destruct while feeling good you're better of with heroine
Come on man there's more to life than material things, hookers and blow
And it is unlikely that you will become rich with a "i want lots of money to buy lots of useless stuff" mentality - not even joking
I want to be rich to not work for someome else, to maybe travel the world and to live a quiet life, spending my time with my family and hobbies, maybe fund some research
Always remember, it's "give, and it will be given to you." Not the other way around
To answer your question:
To get rich you could start a business or invest your or other peoples/the bank's money
For example in stocks or real estate or in business start ups
depends how quickly you want it
1 year: robbery
5 years: sell drugs
10 years: high risk business and investments, this will involve you dedicating every waking moment learning as much as you can, experimenting, trying new things and trying not to be too useless, distracted or spooked
20 years: dedicated career risking some of your savings on a business you have developed expertise in and making sensible investments, for instance you go to college, become a software developer, work for a few companies then if you think you've found a niche in the market you can exploit you quit your job to work on it full time and try to turn it into a business
40 years: dedicated career, not taking many risks, not becoming self-employed just so you can work 15 hour days, not paying Jerome $200 a month so you can sleep in his basement, not taking cold showers and eating rice and beans every night
note: less time = more risk
My apartment complex gave me the lease renewal papers and they obviously made a mistake by offering me rent at nearly $300 less than what my current rent is. Not wanting to ask them "why" and give them an opportunity to change it, i signed it, and they gave me a copy. A few weeks later there was another lease renewal on my doorknob. This one was marked at a $30 INCREASE and still had my signature on it copied from the lower priced one I signed. No mention of any mistake on thier part. This feels wrong? Can i hold them to the previous lease i signed? Thanks
I believe you have some recourse legally speaking if what you signed was contractually binding, and the new paper still has your signature on it while it differs from the copy you have. If you can prove they either changed it after you signed it or forged your signature onto a new paper.
>>1608790
Take your old copy and say hey wtf why is it $30 more?

Yes, contact a lawyer. They may not be very good landlords after that, though.
Is being a doctor for the money a meme?
I have the education and credentials to get into medical school, but I'm not sure that it's the lifestyle I want to live. I hear a lot of stories of 80+ hour workweeks. Now, I understand that you're not going to get rich unless you work hard, but there must be a better way.
I've also heard that if you can see yourself doing anything else besides being a doctor, you should seriously reconsider entering medical school.
So what's /biz/'s consensus? With my background in biology and chemistry, and interest in business, could I viably enter the scientific field in a lab position and work my way up to a higher-paid and overall more comfortable lifestyle than I would have being a doctor (as far as specialties go, let's assume it's paying me 200-300k a year, after undergrad, residency, fellowship, etc).
Tl;dr Would I get a better return on my investment entering the field of lab science (pharma type shit) and working my way up to management than I would becoming a medical doctor?
>>1608781
Shit varies but you're unlikely to make incredible money either way just doing that. With being a doctor there are some extremely well paid opportunities out there if you're willing to take a significant hit to quality of life tho. And these aren't always available. In either route big money ultimately comes from avoiding debt and then starting a business.
You are doing better than the idiots who went into Chem Eng thinking money would just rain down tho.
fuck is genetic engineering as simple as pic???

Those gloves are actually really difficult to put on.
I'm looking for a hyper temporary group of mentors to starting an online business.
Looking for people on here who have started an online business and are making money.
Please give me your input on how to create and run a profitable business on the internet.
What were resources you used to learn how to do this and resources you used to actually make it happen?
>>1608733
kneepads
>>1608735
I want to develop apps but all the information on how to create a quality app seems to be hard to find and slightly esoteric. Even the book I bought, essentially tells the reader how to create a limited number of apps using an app designed to create apps. It seems like this abstraction away from true creative power is becoming popular in the tech industry.
>>1608735
landscaping doesn't pay well though.
When people say to invest in IRA, I tell them to GET ABSOLUTELY FUCKED Ireland belongs to the English you fucking cucks get used to it. God Save the Queen
>>1608661
Had to look it up to get the joke.
>>1608661
Mild kek.
>>1608665
which part didnt you get?
I want to diversity my portfolio and invest some money into memecoins
What in your opinion is the safest and best longterm memecoin to buy? Considering potential growth ofc.
>>1608650
Honest answer? Nobody really knows.
You're not going to get any real advice, just people trying to shill their shit and others with confirmation bias.
Ethereum is the only answer, although monero is going have another rally first its not a good long term hold
>>1608650
I agree that nobody knows in the long term, but maybe Ethereum has a big enough fan base to stay popular in the future.
In the short term Monero is still hot and supported but I'm not sure that it's gonna be enough for another big pump.
+1 yolo tip: put some money in DOGE, IMO it's gonna be pumped soon or just keep going down slowly.
Never owned a credit card and I feel like it's time to grow up and improve my credit so that down the road I can rent an apartment, house, etc.

Since I have no credit, would the above offer be worth getting? Are there better alternatives? I'm a former NEET who is currently in college.
>>1608638
Also, I was thinking of getting a netflix account and using this card so that I can pay it off and build credit. Would that be a good idea?
As long as you don't fuck up and miss a payment, pretty much any card will do.
Seriously, pay on time and pay everything off.
>>1608638
your thumbnail is fucking gay, if u get with a women because she likes your means, shes a gold digging tramp..also, id rather have no credit than shit credit...get over it and buy a pack of gum every week on ur fucking discover card and KYS.
How would I bet against student loans? There's been talks about a "Higher Education Bubble" and how exactly could one profit from this (in a Big Short type of way)?
Is it really a bubble though?
Bubble? More like a sponge
Bet against the housing industry. because those college kid are going to be living in cucksheds
They are actually taking bets for Kanye2020. If you get this right some bookies offer 200x your money back.
If Trump can win, anyone can right?
>>1608552
