I'm kinda sad Cena is planning to become a part timer now his movie career has taken off but at least he was pretty funny in Train wreck.

Is it true that Krav Maga, Cystema and Thai Chi are macdojos that only exist to gain profit and aren't useful at all?
I've always thought that every martial art is useful to some degree and that it also depends a 100% in the individual and his "style" to make it work.
Recently I asked a friend how to start in the martial arts world and he told me to learn boxing and then go for judo.
But I've recently read >pic related and started looking at Vasiliev's cystema videos and I'm kinda curious.
What are your opinions on these martial arts?
How to identify a Macdojo?
a Mcdojo is a business model alot of mc dojo teach bjj, a ver effective art.
Most martial arts have some practical elements, but to say all martial arts are equally good for fighting is straining it beyond credibility.
most tai chi is just standing yoga, and not many people do it well. most krav is watered down a lot from the original version, systema I don't know alot about but people here don't like it.

>Thai Chi
Tai Chi is for:
- old people
- spiritual people
- Wannabe Chinese White Boys
- Martial Artists who try a little bit of everything

Won't this give Haitch the record for most mania main events? How convenient.
Do you guys ever discuss the sport of weightlifting here (Olympic-style weightlifting)?
Do you guys ever use the "quick lifts" (Snatch, clean + jerk and variants) to train for other sports, or for fun?
I "come from" /fit/ and have only really started doing snatches and clean + jerk recently. But weightlifting is always a sport that has interested me. The weightliftimg general there is practically dead, it's sad. The sport is not as popular as powerlifting in the slightest. I think maybe here would be a better place to discuss?
Hey guys, I'm really interested in getting some boxing training, but I don't know how to go about it.
I've looked locally, but I can't seem to find any gyms, and the one I did find seems to be some run down place in the ghetto.
any help? anything to expect? what's a reasonable price to pay?
I've never been in a fight before and I'm mostly doing this to learn some self defense and discipline.
also, boxing seems pretty cool.
>>885678
Anyone who does boxing won't be able to overstate the importance of having a good coach during your foundation stages. You'll more than likely do more harm than good if you teach yourself.
Is there a gym that runs a fitbox/boxercise class? I knew a good Muay Thai dude who used to run one at the gym I used to go to so I'd do padwork with him after he wrapped up his Saturday morning class in addition to my twice a week training.
As for price, I don't really know, I used to go to a $6 a session YMCA dealie. Seems crappy but the coach there regularly churned put state level champs, and the training was great. As a result of that I'm a little biased when it comes to what constitutes a reasonable price lol
But that's just my chump change I'm throwing in. Let us know how you go.
>>885678
Also never discount old run down gyms. Give it a try. See if the coach motivates you, or clicks well with you, if you feel like you're gonna get something out of it. Go with your gut.

Alright what's Undertaker doing for Wrestlemania 32
>>888920
Should be retired.
After losing he literally has nothing left to offer Mania. Unless he gets a title shot and wins at Mania, then retires for good on Raw the next night.
