> There's been a lot of speculation on WWE possibly bringing indie wrestling content to the WWE Network after a few Fan Council surveys were issued this year to gauge interest, specifically mentioning promotions like Ring of Honor, EVOLVE, CZW and several others.
> It looks like indies will indeed be coming to the WWE Network as Vince McMahon has decided that he does want some "hot indies" on the Network, according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio.
> WWE issued a survey earlier this fall that included potential price points of $4.99, $9.99 and $14.99. Promotions listed in that survey were TNA and ROH. They issued another survey this fall that asked fans which promotions they were watching - PWG, CHIKARA, EVOLVE, DGUSA, OVW, AAW, CZW, Shimmer, SCW, ROH and FIP.
> No word yet on when we may see indies on the Network or which promotions may sign deals with WWE but Meltzer believes the next few months will be very interesting for the business with potential changes. He also speculated on WWE forming alliances with other promotions, similar to what they have done with WWN Live over the past year.
What a tragedy!! Its the end of mainstream wrestling as we know it.
>>2011398
Based Vince absorbing and killing the outlaws to bring an end to this shitty industry
wtf I love vince now
They'll end up with complete shit because most of them have already signed deals with other services, unless they buy out their contracts.
>>2011404
Outlaw will never end. Its too niche, too small and can be replaced with another outlaw easily. What Vince is truly killing is his own creation - WWE.
What next for da big wolf? Will big belly baron be the next big SD heel?
Why won't he work on a six pack?

He's a nobody. Will get an IC title feud and maybe an IC championship run at some point but will never do well because he lacks literally everything.

is there a bigger myth than Kevin Nash being a good talker?

Him and Hall both stole all of their lingo from Yokozuna who listened to Mack 10 in the locker room alot back in the day. The "nWo for lyfe" stuff came from this

Reminder that Owens is the lowest drawing champion in Raw history.
I don't think training will make him taller

Anybody can have a physique like Roman if they go to WWEshop.com

nope
>Danielson, 35, made it in his second year on the ballot. Clearly his retirement made the difference as people sometimes don’t vote for people whose careers are still in progress (not that many haven’t gotten in while full-time and active), particularly for someone who really only had a few years with true national spotlight. Danielson becomes the first wrestler where the majority of his career was spent on the independent scene, although he did end up as the most popular wrestler in WWE in 2014 and defied all odds in being the star of WrestleMania 30, given his size and the way he was pushed when he first started with the company.
>Danielson finished first among reporters, second among historians, 11th among retired wrestlers and 7th among active wrestlers.
>Danielson is generally considered as one of the best in-ring performers of this generation. Perhaps even more than his wrestling ability is his influence changing the genre at the top level of the WWE and to an being a pioneer to the modern independent scene. His success changed the very way WWE looks at talent, and some of the top stars today would not have even been signed by WWE based on the previous mindset of what a star looks like.
Took long enough for Sting to get in
Meltzer has spent years giving 100% of the credit to Hogan for the Starrcade buyrate which is odd considering how he usually likes to take shots at him. I always felt like he didn't like Sting for some reason
>>2010968
>I always felt like he didn't like Sting for some reason
He doesn't, neither does wade keller. Story is that Sting used to bury all "insiders" to promoters back during his hey day in WCW.
I don't get it, isn't sting already in the HoF?

California State Athletic Commission executive officer Andy Foster confirmed to MMAFighting.com that UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor was granted a boxing license in California on Wednesday.
> Foster said, "He got a license today and a federal ID. He's a California boxer now. ... He's qualified [as a boxer]. I'd love to see him fight in California. It just needs to be the right opponent. Certainly a high-level opponent. We're happy to license him. We're happy he's a California fighter."
This comes just days after UFC stripped McGregor of his Featherweight Title and named Jose Aldo the new champion. McGregor has not responded publicly to that decision and it's being speculated that this could be McGregor's way of grandstanding in response.
> There's also the obvious speculation of a Conor vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr. superfight, which has been teased for some time now. MMAFighting.com notes that there are no concrete plans for them to box each other at this time but FloCombat reports that talks between the two camps have been ongoing for almost a full year. They described the current state of the talks as optimistic. Conor has offered to box Mayweather in the past with a price tag of $100 million.
FOX Sports reports that Conor will also be applying for a boxing license in other states such as New York, Nevada and Texas.
im hoping this happens so gaytch looks even more pathetic by begging for mcgregor to show up
the buys of this ppv would probably triple the amount of every wwe network sub
>>2010912
Floyd is one of haitch's closest friends. Conor will be in WWE once this is over anyway. So what the fuck is your point?
>>2010917

they couldn't even get paige van zant to show up at summerslam, there's zero chance mcgregor shows up
ROH Final Battle being bigger than WrestleMania for him:
> "This was all a big test. I'm now going to places that are just freakin' magical like Ring of Honor Final Battle. Final Battle, I'm not lying, is bigger than what WrestleMania was to me. Maybe because I'm out there in my own skin. Maybe it's because I have cultivated my own brand now. Maybe it's because the best revenge in the world is success. Maybe I want to prove naysayers and WWE wrong. I found I stopped focusing on the negative, which, especially in this modern day of social media, is hard to do. I'm driven by the positive. Almost every single show we've done on the independent run has had a record crowd. To me, the meet-and-greets with the fans has been very rewarding."
Delusional
>>2010865
Did he even get on Wrestlemania this year?
I can see it being bigger to HIM (as he says) since Stardust basically was the lowest jobber towards the end.
>CAWdy Rhodes
Vince's sudden fetish for shock value means a gremlin has a very good shot at becoming WWE champion.
Thoughts?

Vince has been all for cheap shock value since at least the late 90s
