A year ago today this skinny stray cat walked into my garden. I don't like cats but I fed him anyway cos he was super skinny. After a
Few weeks I took him to the vet to see if he was microchipped. He wasn't.
It cost me about $2500 to get him chipped, vaccinated and have some teeth removed.
That was a year ago.
I think I love this cat. I'll be Ok
Pic related. It's the cat. His name is Terry

Brook Falls Katmai National Park salmon run/fishing bears thread
I mean idk what we're supposed to post about but there's a live camera filming bears in Alaska catch salmon.

Its comfy. Speaking of bears, have you seen Wild Bear Rescue on Animal Planet Canada? The work depicted seems like a dream job to me.
This is very cool
I've got minor cat allergies and my friends and I adopted 3 baby cats (pic is mine). They make me sneeze and blow my noes constantly. Is it possible for me to grow a resistance? I used to have 2 cats as a little kid and they didn't bother my allergies back then that much. I had a lot of allergy shots as a kid, but it's been over 10 years since I've had any.
>>2443053
From experience no, it never got better for me. But thats one cute kitteh
>>2443053
after not having a cat for a while then getting one again my allergies started acting up but eventually went back away. but i dont think mines that severe
Your mileage may vary, but for me, yes it did get better. I used to be very allergic to cats, but over time the allergies became a lot less severe.
My advice, take allergy meds, maybe look into the allergy shots you used to get, and always wash your hands after petting the cat. Most animal allergies are manageable like this, even if they don't get "better" over time.

If I buy this packet of 10,000 dandelion seeds and go to a public lawn where they don't use pesticides, and drop the seeds in a large "humorous geometrical pattern", will the dandelion flowers come up, in the shape of my pattern, this summer/autumn or only the next spring? Or would they not come up at all without special tending...?
>>2442913
Dandelions are pretty fast so they should grow this summer. But they also spread pretty fast so your windmill may look like a little blurry.

This
Unless you make it a huge swastika it's unlikely to come out good.
You should do it with trees instead, it will last longer
Hey guys I found this bird, pretty sure a it's a robin, and it fell from a nest above it. I don't know how old it is but I put it back up there and saw it had a couple others about the same age. Was I supposed to put it up there or was it old enough to be out of the nest?
Too young to be out of the nest.
Good job, OP. You put it back in the nest. You are probably one of the first people who has come here with a baby bird and did the right thing.
>>2442812
Thanks man, I got really scared, didn't know if it was too old
What is this?

At what point is it time to put your dog down, and what's the proper way to do it?
>>2442680
First is debatable, the second really isn't. You go to a vet and get them to do it.
Can we get a thread going about the most gangster /an/ people of the last century? Bonus if I might not have heard of them.
Pic related.
I'm new to plants, I got some succulents since they seemed like a good starter plant. But what the fuck is happening here?
>>2442560
parasites
Looks like the kind of damage a slug or a snail would do. They'll eat a winding path of just the exterior tissue. They get on my prickly pears and do much the same. Anyway, I wouldn't worry about it if it's just a small amount of damage. It's not like it's fatal in such small amounts.

I hope someone wants to join this and use the hashtag of their city on facebook.
Is marine biology profitable ?

It's good. So much competition you have to literally an entire whale to get anywhere

Yes, find a sustainable way to bleed horseshoe crabs and you will be rolling in money.
