It was cool when it came out, but it aged really badly. You can play the latest ones if you want new graphics, but the gameplay is casual and dumbed down.

It was alright back then, because of the D&D license. All the Forgotten Realms and shit.
Now? Personally for me it just doesn't hold up anymore. Compared to 'recent' RPG I think Divinity Original Sin is doing things right.
Witcher (series, not just the last game) is a good game, but it is in its own league. PoE is different to BG in too many aspects to even compare.
You could compare BG to Tyranny and Pillars, but not the two you've mentioned.

Honestly what a 10/10 IS can vary depending on anon or concept.
In general I'd say that rank goes to games that you genuinely can't change or add much, they are at the peak of what they can do.

I would agree on DOOM (93) and the Mario games you listed.
