Fun games that were ruined due to high expectations. You don't need to make a three paragraph rant about why you don't like Destiny, just stay on-topic.
Oh boy, it's the "Destiny is a good game, people just expected too much of it!" argument.
Get fucked OP.

Read the spoiler faggot. Not everyone likes the same games.
>>380970465
My post isn't even a paragraph faggot
If a game doesn't live up to its hype then it deserves to do poorly because the producer overdid it with marketing and they need to learn that they can't promise the fucking moon.

Given that the best games on xbox and playstation are last gen ports and NO-ONE (including i suspect nintendo themselves) expected this motherfucker to sell like it did, what's the situation going to be like in a year's time?

>Best selling Console in the world
Selling less than both PS4 and Xbone you lying shill fuck.
>>380969676
Everybody always seems to get hung up on hardware but I've always been more interested in software.
Can someone explain the differences in the operating systems for the PS4, Xbone, and WiiU/Switch? Is one objectively better/more efficient than the others?
>>>/g/
We only talk about vidya here, m8.
>>380969531
I thought this was a polite redirect saying /g/ talks about vidya at first.
>actually, LITERALLY **IMPLYING** that /v/ only talks about vidya
PS4 runs a UNIX variant, Xbone basically runs Windows 10, and Nintendo makes their own OS from scratch I think.
If your wife is in the list, you belong in NeoGAF

Was the Vita game any good? Or is Grief Seed Syndrome still the best game?
I've never once heard a single thing about it. Just play GSS. Also Nanoha had better games.

Is Sayaka supposed to be the little Mermaid because she's actually the one Homura longs for?

Kill the Rabbids, Wario.
The guns do nothing.
What are your thoughts on their upcoming game, Hunt: Showdown? Looks like it's multiplayer only
Seems like a PUBG and DayZ, looks kind of cool

Man, old 4chan was cringey as fuck, good thing the horde of newfriends took that shit down

At what point is gun customization too autistic for you?
>textures beyond metals and wood
>ammunition which makes the gun weaker
>multiple types of suppressors
>muzzle brakes
this should be minimum
>>380969726
I remember playing that for a grand total of an hour or so and the gun mods were the thing that left an an impression
>>380969726
custom presets should definitely be an industry standard too
This is legitimately the best MMO i've played in a long time.
No subscription model, simply pay for expansions so you don't feel pressured to play every single day but there is still an incentive to because of daily quests and login rewards. Giant PvP server battles at max level, level downscaling scaling so you can play with your friends on your main while they're a noobie. Multiple weapon combinations like sword main hand/axe off hand which result in different combos and skill strings.
And the best part of all is the community, controls and world events that bring everyone together to kill raid bosses that spawn across the world on timers.
This game is fucking great, the world is beautiful and immediately immerses you. I spent the better part of 3 days just wandering and doing world events because they were just that fun.

>shilling this hard
enjoy your .01 cents for this post
>>380968472
This post was almost as boring to read as playing GW2, almost.
Ever played GW1?
that was a good "mmo"
yfw all it took was an entirely different setting, characters, and gameplay rules to make Skyrim good.
>>380968393
Nehrim and Enderal is what vanilla Oblivion and Skyrim should have been out of the box, if Bethesda didn't simply rely on the modders fixing everything that's wrong with it, including story, gameplay and interface.
>>380968393
enderal was pure crap, I thought you fags learned your lesson and stopped shilling this shit.
Now they just need to make it a standalone game to get away from a terrible Skyrim engine.
What is everyones opinion on ARMS?
I personally think the game is super fucking fun, however a major gripe I have with it is the lack of content. I don't usually play fighting games but Nintendo stroked my hyper-meat so much that I ended up getting it.
Also the fucking system for getting different ARMS. I absolutely hate it. You get one fucking shot at punching the present at the back and if your piss poor at these types of games then you'll miss and fucking shit yourself because you realise how terrible you actually are.
>>381089851
I had a lot fun during the test fire. Right now I'm just grinding my chops against the CPU
>>381089851
Ive held off on buying it. Going to wait next month and get Splatoon2. Fighting games arent my thing, but if they add some more game modes i might pick it up if it hits a sale this holiday.
Remember TO ALWAYS go after the Ninjara first in free for all matches
What game does Eldritch best?
I wanna fuck Moon Presence's face!
Probably Bloodborne or the Call of Cthulu games.
>>380967961
Bloodborne.
>muh open world
>muh everything is organic and changes realtime
>muh make your own character
>muh explore the procedurally generated galaxy
Just fucking why? Why is this happening to this game?
Have the devs even played the first one? People liked it so much because it was a cute game with a good story, good designs and very charismatic and likable characters. It is not supposed to be a fucking open world meme where nothing has any depth because it's procedurally generated to make it seem like there is just so much to do.
You need to accept anon that the industry is dead. Most triple A titles fall into the open world meme and nothing is like it was before.
People cry about /pol/ boogeyman that cries about token black characters but those people are kinda right. They notice the problem but can't express it. Current games are no longer about originality or adventure. Just like every story now needs to have a token black/lesbian/minority/SJW character, every game needs now to have open worlds, map markers, hand-holding and bland gameplay regardless of the game genre. It sells. I lost count on how often game developers said "living open world" while marketing their game. The genres are becoming more blurry, everything now has RPG elements, perk trees, character progression, multiplayer etc.
Games instead of being simple fun are including buzzwords that limit true passionate content creators. They don't have freedom anymore and always need to introduce those meme mechanics in their titles.
To be fair the first one did not have good gameplay. The stealth was busted easy, the combat was a chore, and the platforming was restrictive in the ugly way. BG&E had great world building and characters, so open world can suit it if they don't aim too high. But they might. If they made the game 70% about photography, 30% about parkour-and-evasion, with puzzles centered around these elements, it could be great. Modern Ubisoft will make it a third person shooter like Watch Dogs so idgaf.
>>380968323
Its just a trend. Something will come along and change the market and give us entirely different gameplay mechanics to complain about
